Previous travel experience in Egypt was not very successful. I traveled a lot in Europe and it would be warm there in May, I would go there again, and not to Egypt. But, alas, it is still cold there in May. We searched for a hotel based on reviews on the Internet. We settled on this option - there were a lot of positive reviews. They didn't guess. A good, large, very green (for Egypt) territory, on the territory of 5 * (Nubian Island) a stream flows - a river, on the territory of 4 * cactus clearings are planted. You can move around and watch animation in any territory. On the first day, I had a chance to live in a 5 * bungalow (out of 4 *, a large group was delayed for 10 hours by plane and instead of being marinated at the airport, they were left to rest at the hotel). Then they moved to a distant building 4 *, on the second floor in a room with a large balcony. I can say that I know the difference in living. This is plumbing. In 5 * it is in perfect condition (although, for example, there was no bidet, but in 4 * it was). In 4 * I had to suffer with water - it jumped quite quickly from boiling to cold water at unpredictable moments during washing. We thought about changing the room to a bungalow (already in 4 *), we even looked at it, but it became just laziness - we decided that we would adapt. In general, we got used to it. Well, again, in the 4 * building, it seems, the plumbing is new, but the faucet is not bolted to the sink. And the rest of the repair is felt in 4 *: new tiles, sink, bathroom (by the way, in all bungalows - showers without pallets - just a tiled floor), toilet bowl, bidet - new. Therefore, in 4 * everything is quite experienced. The mattresses on the beds are quite good, not sagging at all. There are more hangers in the building than in a bungalow. The safes in the rooms were working everywhere. TV... we almost did not turn it on, it seems to be good. For living, perhaps, everything.
Food I know only 4 * - we did not manage to eat at 5 *.
What can I say. The food is OUTSTANDING! Especially when you consider that it is 4 *. The breakfasts are hearty (this is important for me, since I am a lark), the cook made very tasty omelettes and pancakes. I give an idea : -) On the very first day, I saw a man take cheese and smoked meats, cut them on his own plate and take them to the cook to add to an omelet (standard additions were only onions and tomatoes). I took this into service and did the same for all subsequent days. As a result, I got a very satisfying omelette and still caught up with pancakes (despite the fact that I don’t like pancakes in my life). Lunches - dinners are 3-4 types of meat, 2-3 types of fish, pizza, various pasta options with all kinds of additives (mushrooms - cheese - eggplant - onions, etc. ), which the chef prepares right in front of the tourist (I can’t rate , since I don’t eat pasta at all, but it looked beautiful, people ate it on both cheeks). For dinner, the main thing is not to miss what is fried on the street - usually there were all sorts of delicious meats. In general, there was so much of everything that I didn’t even try the chicken, although there was always some version of the chicken. The kids had fun with french fries and some cutlets. I constantly ate zucchini - they were made there constantly and constantly in different forms. There have always been eggplants. And usually there were potatoes baked in some way. There were soups, I can only appreciate that the vegetable puree soups were very tasty, I didn’t eat the rest. Sweets. Nuuuuu... After such a plentiful meal, it was not always possible to crawl to sweets. Delicious jellies, tiramisu, something like sherbet. The place for sweets was necessarily left only on the national Arab day - I just don’t understand how so many different goodies can be made from flour, sugar, water and eggs. There I came off in full, of course, since I really like real Arabic sweets. In general, I repeat, I am picky, but I think the food in this hotel is GORGEOUS!

Now the sea. Here it is ambiguous. A good pontoon is wooden, not swinging. But there are only two stairs. As soon as someone hovered, putting on fins - a mask, a pipe - everyone is waiting. You can ask to move - sometimes it helped. The coral itself is not particularly beautiful (of course - so many people are trying to grab onto it - to trample on it). The fish are beautiful and there are many of them. From the neighboring pontoon, people came to ours with the words that there are more fish here. The apotheosis was a 2-meter manta floating four meters away. Now, to be honest, it was scary. The depth is great. 6 meters, apparently (the bottom is not visible - only the edge of the coral is visible, but not the sand at the bottom of the sea). For those who do not know how to swim, a part of the coral is hollowed out from the shore and you can sit - walk - swim there, the depth is no more than a meter even at high tide. The tides are strong. The sight of bare coral is a little creepy. And, most importantly, flow. It is! Out of 7 days, one day there were such waves that you can’t swim with a mask, but there was no current. Accordingly, you could just splash in the waves, not being afraid that you would be carried away somewhere. The next day there was a current, but weak. It was necessary to swim against him along the coral as far as possible, then lie down - and you will slowly and sadly be brought to the pontoon. It was convenient. But! On another day, the current was such that at best it was not to budge, rowing with all his might against him. At worst, you were carried away with the current. And then we were just afraid to take a chance. I then saw that people did this. They came from a neighboring pontoon to ours, dusted downstream and got out on their pontoon. That is, the current carried away along the coral, and not into the open sea. But it was still scary, so we had to swim along the coral, holding on with one hand to the rope, which was always thrown from our pontoon. Therefore, those who wrote in the reviews about the current, apparently, fell on such days.
Pools. Hmmm. . . I don't swim in pools when there is a warm sea nearby. A couple of times I just rolled down the hill and didn’t go to the pools anymore. Seems to be clean, clean.
Animation. I can't say anything for the same reason. Animation was held by the pools, but I have not been there. In the evening we just went to watch a couple of performances of all fire-eaters and others like him. In 4 * I saw that a Russian Olga was holding a children's disco. What and when she spent more - I do not know. In 5 * everything I saw - heard was in Italian.
In general, it turned out to be a good relaxing beach holiday.
