We rested in El Khayat from June 24 to July 3. My friend and I were with three children, so I will write a review for those who are going to rest there with children. Our boys are 4.5 and 8 years old. We flew with Coral Travel, no complaints. Everything is on time, everything is clear. Our hotel was the second in a row when they were transported from the airport. There were about 10 tourists, so the guide (introduced himself as Vanya)))) for about 20 minutes lisped with us at the reception, although there was a Russian girl who spoke excellent Russian, he could throw us off to her and not bathe))) But he honestly explained himself, what to fill out, how, where and to whom to give the passports, hung bracelets on us, and only after that he left to deliver other tourists to the other three hotels.
About settlement. There were no priorities for families with children - everything was in the order of the general queue. We asked for rooms next to each other. But they said it was impossible. As a result, they ended up in the same building, but on different floors: 1 and 2. At first they were upset, they thought to give $ 10 for a paw, (when they came to check in, it turned out that there were three rooms on our 2nd floor! The rooms next to each other were free) but changed their minds and did the right thing. Firstly, it’s really close, the children ran to each other, you can follow from the balcony, and secondly, we arranged an evening party after spoiling the rooms on the first floor - they took out the chairs from the balcony, put them against the fence, and as a result, we got a mezzanine floor above the stage, where in the evenings there was a children's disco and an evening show))) A couple of times the show was by the pool in the central area. Then they announced a night water polo tournament, and then a foam disco. The children really liked everything))) They did not settle quickly, but they brought the bed to the third immediately.
They cleaned every day, twisted swans and hearts for us))) Towels were also changed every day. The room is clean but not new. Door locks are flimsy - jammed. On the first day it broke down with us, on the third day with a friend, they fixed everything quickly and for free)))

From children's entertainment - a children's pool with a depth of 60 cm and a trampoline with a diameter of 4 m. There is a playground, but in the sun and very meager - a slide, a rope. There are no swings. There is no children's club either, either because of the small number of children, or because the room is not equipped with anything for these purposes. That is, there is a room with children's wallpaper near the playground, colored puzzles on the floor, three soft pouffes and..... that's it! There you can hide from the heat, and go to the toilet. When this room opens and closes, we did not keep track, since we went there only 2 times, the first in the evening - it was closed, the second in the afternoon. None of the staff were there, and neither were the children. By the way, the playground is located on the far right side of the hotel, behind the buildings, and it is quite difficult to find it))). But the territory is not large, so we walked around and found everything on the first day !!! )))) In addition to the children's pool, there are 3 more adults. In one of them, a section with a depth of 1.3 m. Our elder was taught to swim there)). Near the reception, the pool is occupied by foreigners, so when our archers accidentally climbed in there, they were remarked that there was a children's pool for children...
About food. Water in half-liter bottles is given by the bartender at the reception from 10 o'clock. Until that time, at breakfast in the restaurant from 7 am you can drink from the cooler and pour into bottles, preferably without creating a queue. There is no children's menu in the restaurant, but there was always decent and tasty food, and no one left hungry. Beef, chicken, potatoes, vegetables, pasta, soups - it was everything. The children are finicky, we don’t speak English, so it got to the point that they let a friend over the stove with pasta and she herself showed what to pour into the pan))). Then the cooks themselves did the right thing))) The same with the scrambled eggs, we cut the sausage separately, we came to the cook with it, explained what and how, and he kindly fried the sausage first, then carefully poured the egg so that there was fried eggs, poured oil, so as not to burn … In short, everyone tried. The only negative for children is the lack of ice cream (((Either we didn’t get it, or we didn’t get it anymore, but in short we didn’t see it. True, there is it at the pool bar, but already for money)) We outwitted the younger ones , informing them that a cold cake with soufflé for dinner is an Egyptian ice cream cake))) It rolled)))) In fact, we really liked everything related to food, the only wish is more fruit - for 10 days, watermelons were given 2 times in total, usually dates and oranges - but everything is delicious. If there is not enough fruit, then you can go to the store. There are two supermarkets nearby - one across the road, the other to the left of the exit from the hotel, towards the beach, a little further to go. We bought watermelon there. There are peaches, apricots, mangoes, etc. Everything is sold for pounds, but if you only have dollars, like we do, and the banks are closed, then in a nearby shop they will exchange you for pounds, although the exchange rate is slightly lower.
Beach. The children were dying while they reached him in the heat (((. It took about 10 minutes for adults to go, with the boys we trudged for at least 20-25 minutes. There is a bus from the hotel, but very rarely - once an hour. The bus is a minibus with 11 seats ))) True, if they managed to come running on time, and there were more people who wanted to, then the driver would come and pick them up again at the request after hours. But, having reached the beach with torment, then it was possible to leave the children without problems. The sea for 50 meters below the knee, further you can find up to the hips. That is, you can swim for adults too - their feet do not scoop sand, but for children it’s just like paradise. Nice sunbeds - there are in the form of tables with a canopy, there are in the form of a swing, in the form of a trestle bed, there are ordinary ones. Towels need to be taken at the hotel by the pool and dragged to the beach, otherwise you will be on a bare trestle bed))) There is a children's pool right there on the beach, the depth varies from 60 cm and deeper. Water and alcohol on the beach are issued without problems, although you need it at the reception. from your hotel to take pink coupons. We honestly took them, but they never asked us for them on the beach.
From the entertainment on the beach there are ATVs - half an hour $ 10, and the Laguna Vista hotel also has 2 children's pools and a good playground on site. We went for a walk on it for 5 days and found everything. Nobody kicked us out. The pool is 40 cm deep, there is a children's slide and a fountain. To the right of the Laguna is another hotel - Grand Azur, it seems. We made our way there secretly, through the beach, because they drive from there. But there is a large children's complex with fountains and a slide and a pouring tub, like in Moscow's Kva-Kva park, the children liked it. There are also 2 adult slides: an open twisted one and a tunnel, but we did not go to adults.

In general, the rest and the hotel are satisfied. Since we took last-minute tours: double for 9 nights 24.000 rubles, the price-quality ratio is super. But in the heat with children on the beach - hard. With an adult company and from October to May I would go with pleasure! Were in 5 * in Hurghada in Desert Roses and Lilyland, they do not differ in anything except the area of ​ ​ u200bu200bthe territory, the number of people and the distance from the beach.
