The Arabs don’t have a very good fame about the Palermo Hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh, namely, this is a brides’ hotel for Arabs, so I don’t recommend girls alone to go there, because ALL Sharm will think that you came not to rest, but to look for an Arab husband and, accordingly, the attitude of the Arabs (starting from the maid of the hotel ending with the owners of the Egyptian travel agencies) will be like this for you - we went there and then they will all get and pester (more than ordinary tourists from other hotels), and this greatly interferes with a good rest. … More ▾ The Arabs don’t have a very good fame about the Palermo Hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh, namely, this is a brides’ hotel for Arabs, so I don’t recommend girls alone to go there, because ALL Sharm will think that you came not to rest, but to look for an Arab husband and, accordingly, the attitude of the Arabs (starting from the maid of the hotel ending with the owners of the Egyptian travel agencies) will be like this for you - we went there and then they will all get and pester (more than ordinary tourists from other hotels), and this greatly interferes with a good rest. so go with the guys. we then found our guys as a company.
and so the hotel is average, there are beautiful rooms, but there are poor and dirty ones - they don’t change the bed, only towels. the service obsessively asks for a tip, if you give it at least once. The pool is small but you can swim, although we didn’t go for it. the main sea, sun and entertainment! lots of impressions! we endured the hotel, but this is not the main thing - we only spent the night there (the water in the shower was not always warm enough) and ate twice (the same seasoning was boring in the food). the rest was at sea, on excursions, in acquaintances and fun adventures! so go to egypt and have fun!

I'm in my 30s and I need to start somewhere. I went on a hot trip by plane Rostov-Sharm El Sheikh for 370 bucks for 11 days from March 22.2007 - April 1.2007 through Anex tour. The first thing that struck the hotel was the abundance of Arabs and the almost complete absence of Europeans. As it turned out, now is some kind of holiday, so there are a lot of Arabs, the rooms are all occupied, and the Russians are all on the beach. At the reception they speak only "angelic" language. I even liked it. I studied English at school, now I force my son and finally found a use for English.

The room on the first day was given a bad one, a shower without a bath, it stinks from the refrigerator, the socket does not work well, the door with the lock barely breathes. The next day, when the Arabs parted, the number was changed to quite decent. Huge clean room, 2 beds, 2 chairs, shower, bath, toilet, air conditioning, TV (the Russian channel was not on). Furniture and cabinets are old.
The safe I was told at the reception is free of charge, though there is a huge fine for losing the key. The guide, however, said that they would not be fined, but I tried very hard not to lose the key to the safe. I did not want to leave documents and other things in the room, although there were no cases of theft. Provided beach towels.

Canteen at the hotel. In the morning they are fed from 7 to 10. For breakfast, orange juice, tea, coffee, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese (watered with jam), inedible sausage, stewed sausages with butter, onions and seasoning (I liked it), rice, pasta or potatoes with butter and seasonings ( greasy), beans, eggplants, salads: cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges, dates, etc. , a lot of buns of all kinds, no bread, pancakes are not bad, lemons. For dinner - drinks for a fee (I immediately bought a 6 liter bottle at a nearby market), I didn’t forget to take a boiler from home, tasty meat with gravy, overcooked fish, sometimes chicken, salads, rice, potatoes, beans, buns, occasionally cakes and pastries.
People also took soup, but I didn’t like it.

Swimming pool on site. 2 meters deep. The water is clean, constantly updated, but cold. The area was constantly cleaned, everything is clean and comfortable. The area itself is small. Not far from the hotel there is an old market, a bank, a cheap supermarket "METRO" and an entertainment complex 1001 nights. Everywhere can be reached on foot. They took the bus to the beach for free. at 9.11, 12:45. They were taken away at 13.15, 16 hours. True, soon they showed me the way on foot and I walked with pleasure (about 20 minutes), along the way I could see or buy something near the “1001 Nights”.

Pantone on the beach is bad, underwater. Often there was a wind and the sea was stormy. During a storm, the step was washed away, the piece of iron remained. A certain dexterity and skill was needed in order to "park" to the pantone. Some showed bruises and abrasions.

Those who wished were taken to the New Town "Naomo Bay" every evening by bus.
Guide Anex tour rarely seen.
I liked it better from Tez tour, very sociable, was 2 times a day at the hotel, everyone, both their own and others, ran to him with questions. The boys at the reception are humorous, very sociable, they like to play jokes. When I was bored, I came to chat, they talked about their families, about customs, they constantly joked. There were no hassles. A young guy named Honey reminded me of a 14 year old teenager who constantly thinks of only one thing. I had no desire to be angry with this child, but once, when I was tired of laughing off, I sharply told him that he was a frivolous, irresponsible person and I did not like his behavior. After that, he calmed down and tried to create the opposite impression.

In general, I and many people enjoyed my stay there very much. A whole bunch of impressions. Everything was interesting. Those who rested before in other, better hotels, complained about the service. In my opinion, everything was quite tolerable. The staff is good.
When I left, I was evicted from my room at 12, and my bus at 6 pm. I have strawberries in the fridge. I asked the cook to hold it in the refrigerator until I was at the dining room, preferably free. She explained for 10 minutes, because he did not understand English well. He agreed. When I was returning, the “suitcase porter” rushed in, the only person unpleasant to me in the hotel, he began to say that I had to pay for this. The cook said with a smile that he would not take any money from me. We parted warmly and kindly. In Russia now all people seem so cold-hearted. Everyone is serious, no one will smile, no one will wave his hand with an exclamation of "hello".

Food leaves much to be desired, monotonous, little choice. Employees have the imprudence to make ambiguous hints and, in general, are not distinguished by cordiality. Local canteen Soviet times, dirty tablecloths, napkins worth their weight in gold. The beach is far away, poorly equipped, the entrance to the sea is not from Panton, but along metal slats covered with silt.
If you don't want to ruin your holiday, choose another hotel! At 200 meters "Bodavia" hotel, also 3 ***, but in comparison with Palermo, just all 5 !!!!! !

I have stayed there 2 times and will go there again. Indeed, the staff does not speak Russian, but communicates very well in English. The rooms there are very decent, although there are some terrible ones. For good customers find great rooms. The food is monotonous, as elsewhere in Egypt, but quite acceptable. If you leave a tip of 1-2 pounds in your room, they will twist swans or a crocodile out of towels. I did not encounter any lack of hot water or any other domestic inconveniences. Nothing was stolen from my room personally, and I have not heard from anyone about cases of theft from rooms. The carrying of water and fruits into the hotel is loyal, no one has ever stopped.
Walk to the beach for about 20 minutes, a free bus also goes there. The reef on the beach is very beautiful, a lot of different fish. If your goal is active recreation (diving,
excursions in Egypt), rather than a 24-hour hotel stay, then Palermo will suit you. Although off topic, but I want to warn those wishing to visit Alf Leila-Wa-Leila. Alcohol and drinks there are NOT INCLUDED in the price of dinner and are VERY expensive! The waiter, without asking, quickly pours you champagne, and then includes it in the bill... I paid $ 60 for a bottle of pop, and the Englishmen who were sitting with me at the table were bred for $ 120 for a bottle of champagne.

I advise you to go to the hotel "Roial Paradais" super in these hotels the owner is the same, then pavradays is super and 4 stars

I was the 3rd time in Egypt (before that there were 4 * hotels) and the purpose of the choice was the presence of a beach in a coral reserve at a low price ($ 280 for 7 days with HB meals). My expectations were fully justified - you can spend hours admiring everything that the Red Sea is rich in. I was not at all embarrassed by the sunken pontoon, along which I had to get to the corals. … More ▾ I was the 3rd time in Egypt (before that there were 4 * hotels) and the purpose of the choice was the presence of a beach in a coral reserve at a low price ($ 280 for 7 days with HB meals). My expectations were fully justified - you can spend hours admiring everything that the Red Sea is rich in. I was not at all embarrassed by the sunken pontoon, along which I had to get to the corals. The main thing is the miracle that you see later.

The bus drove to the beach on time. The first departure at 9 am, in the morning I managed to do exercises, swim in the pool, eat and go to the beach. On the beach there is a bar where you can eat, fresh juices, etc. If you want to sleep, you can walk to the beach or go later.

The location of the hotel is super (for 3 *) - not far from the Old Town - walking distance 15 min. (by the way, every day in the evening there is the same ensemble and with the same program as in "1000 and one", only for free), Naama Bei, the "Fantasy" complex - 20-30 minutes on foot, but not close and therefore does not load with music - there is a choice for a relaxing holiday.
The cons have already been written in other reviews, which could have been expected-3 *: poor food, good service must be knocked out, like the room too. But I went with Tez Tyr (great operator! ) and the problems were solved. But as for me, the pluses completely neutralize the grumbling - everything is bad!
