A hotel on the edge of the universe, in the process of trying to revive its former glory. The owner (a grey-haired man) often sits in the "disco bar" in the evenings and supervises the activities. pretty nice and adequate man (sorry, just before leaving he found out that he was the owner).
Not so long ago, the hired administrator Lusine (a short black woman) is trying very hard to improve the service and put relaxed workers in their places, to restore order and improve the quality of service, but this takes time and, most importantly, the owner’s understanding that the Slavs have a slightly different mentality). To her - a special THANK YOU FOR HER EFFORT! After reading previous reviews - I see progress in improving the quality of the hotel.
Huge minus - 30 minutes drive to the sea.
and it's good if the bus is normal, and not like our first two days - an Egyptian "gazelle" with all the charms.
Departure to the sea 9:00 and 9:30, back 13:00 and 13:30, after lunch at 14:30 there and back at 17:00.
After lunch at the hotel, "animators" dragged everyone into the pool for a photo session to report to the employer on the work done, and after taking a couple of photos, they immediately lost interest in vacationers - play water volleyball yourself with a FOOTBALL wet and heavy ball. therefore, many willing girls did not play - marigolds and fingers cannot withstand such a ball.
From 14:00 -16:00 there are 2 water slides. Blue is good and safe. YELLOW - DANGEROUS!!!!!!! ! ! ! after a sharp descent - at the bottom of the grate for draining water - EVERYTHING about them! ! ! kicked your back! therefore, if you decide to ride on it - take 2 overlapping mats - so that when you fall on your back - it ends up on the mat. I repeat - out of 9 people ALL hit their backs to one degree or another.
The bar is generally a nightmare topic! ! ! ! not only is it a local spill, but also diluted 4 times, and in minimal portions!
Even for me, as a sooooo little drinker, it was impossible to drink this swill for more than two evenings. well at least they took 1 liter of real vodka with them.
Another TIP - after arriving in Egypt, you have 2 days (from the moment of arrival) to go to one of the three! duty free (old town, Soho and Nabq) and buy NORMAL alcohol (Lithuanian Capital $12 Finlandia - $15). it seems no more than 3 bottles per 1 passport (they mark how much they bought in it). but this is the only chance not to die of boredom and disgust for their swill.
There are shops on the territory of the hotel - I highly recommend Anton (the first two shops on the left), an extremely pleasant seller and prices are excellent! I compared it with the prices on Naama Bay and in the Old Town.
By the way - to the Old City (Old City), Naama Bay and Soho, it is easy and cheap to get to any minibus (white and blue bus) that themselves stop at the "circle" 150 m from the hotel. the price of the trip is MAXIMUM - to the old city $ 1 for two ! ! ! ! (or 5.75*2 of their pounds). for more - don't even sit down)) taxi from the hotel to the old town - $15. I went back - I traded "until winning" and drove for $ 5 + 10 Egyptian pounds (1 bucks - 15 pounds).
It was nice when checking out at 3 a. m. to receive a lunch box: 1 banana, 3 buns, 3 croissants, 1 bottle. water. handy before the flight.
The beach ...it feels like it is a municipal one ...Germans, Italians, Arabs rest on it. to see not beautiful fish, I recommend swimming to the left from the beach for about 500 meters to closed hotels. there the fauna is much richer and brighter than in places where swimmers and yachts gather.
in general, the result of the trip is a hotel for 4-. if you want silence and solitude - suitable for couples. but to the sea ...25-30 minutes to go - tiring.
For myself, I concluded - take only 1 line, if there is an exception - then it is MANDATORY to specify how far to get to the sea. Further 500 m from the beach - taboo!
