We rested with children in the Royal Grand Sharm Hotel.
A hotel with a large area, beautiful and well-groomed plants. The territory of the hotel and the sea itself are the most pleasant impressions of the trip. We were settled in a room with a suffocating smell of dichlorvos. The room was changed to a less smelly one (but the smell was still there). There were no slippers, no bathrobes, no kettle, no shower caps in the room. Fridge and air conditioner hardly worked. The minibar was filled up on the 3rd day after repeated reminders. Pleased with the remote control from the TV on the chain. Bed linen (with pellets), silicone pillows and blankets, shampoo, shower gel of low quality. The bedspreads are torn in places, the curtains are stained. Right above our floor, there was a disco every day, which worked at least until midnight. With the noisy air conditioner, it was hard to fall asleep. Water had to be taken by ourselves at the bar. Internet is paid everywhere, even in the lobby (the cost for a week is 500 pounds = $83). Billiards, tennis, sauna, hammam, laundry - for a fee. Separately, I would like to share my memories of the "restaurant". Perhaps the hotel is not designed for such a number of tourists. I had to queue for food, the waiters were never in a hurry to reserve the table, take and bring the order. Once at breakfast I dropped my fork, so I was surprised to find it there during dinner. The food "amazed" with its variety. You could be sure that for breakfast, lunch and dinner there would be potatoes, spaghetti or rice. From vegetables, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes. From fruits - oranges, bananas, dates. Often it was necessary to wait for clean glasses and plates. Ordinary tea without flavorings was often not available, we had to collect for future use. What I have never seen in any hotel is that hotel workers eat with vacationers. And here - please, almost every day. So the restaurant corresponds to the level of a 3-star hotel at best.
Our friends, with 2 children, lived in another "building". Next to this room constantly smelled of chemistry for plants. Their room was with a kitchen, in which, apart from furniture, a stove and a refrigerator, there was no kettle or utensils. It is not clear why the tour operator recommends the hotel for families with children. Apart from the territory, there was nothing German left there. By the way, not all photos on the site were taken in Royal Grande. Rest for me was pretty spoiled. Given the fact that prices for tours have increased, in this case, the service did not please. I hope my review will be useful to others.
