I do not recommend this hotel to ANYONE! And you draw your own conclusions. In order:
1. Number. Paid an additional $ 10 for the "best". It falls apart completely, the door did not close for 5 days until the bracket was repaired. Be sure to check if they can be opened, not just slam! It is impossible to climb into the bathroom, everything is repainted. On the 2nd day it was clogged and the water is still standing. The faucet just fell off. Water is not always hot! Very often we waited for happy hours, because it was cold. Wi-fi is paid $ 10 for 4 days.
2. Restaurant. Well, this is of course a separate topic. I think the school canteens are in the best condition. Appliances are often not washed, plates in your fingers. The chairs are falling apart. You have to stand in line to get there! The food is ordinary, nothing special, but not bad.
3. Territory. I took good care of the grass and bushes. But! Of all the pools, only one is heated, the one near the water park. Half of the pools are lowered. The water park is open for several hours. And only 1 or 2 slides!
The gym is scary, everything is old.
4. Beach / sea. Shallow, clean, fish can be said not at all, not counting a few. Anyone who has been to the normal beaches that Sharm is famous for will be shocked. The sunbeds have the impression of 100 years, the mattresses are torn. There is a normal beach in Hotel Barcelo, there are fish and reef, walk 20-30 minutes along the beach. Pretty tasty snacks on the beach.
5. Staff. The service is excellent, the friendliness is zero, the boorish attitude in all respects. At the bar, they pour whatever they know, no one knows English or even Russian. Although not a fan of alcohol, but those who tried are terrible. Take alcohol with you only. No guilt!
6. Animators. Well done tried, given that the hotel did not provide them with anything! No costumes stand out in their clothes.
6. Other. New Year is a separate story. $ 120 just for the wind. Your alcohol with you $ 10 per bottle. Their alcohol is $ 35 per bottle.
They sit down as they want, at our request to sit at the same table with friends - with shouts sent to 3 letters. The dinner was divided into 2 events. The first event was driven out by sirens, because time was running out. 00:30 after the new year the tables were already being assembled. 1:30 it's over.
Impressions of the hotel are just awful, it's not that 5 stars do not pull, and even 3 is very far. Last year we had a rest in the same period in IL Mercato, the price is the same, but the difference is just the earth and the sky. There is a chic attitude and service, super rooms, a real restaurant with wine and more, an incredible sea with coral and fish. The only downside was getting to the beach, so we chose a hotel on 1 line, but it was a terrible mistake! It is better to spend 7 minutes to get to the beach and enjoy the rest and gorgeous conditions than to spit at every turn and want to return home for 2 days.
Tip: take a Vodafone card at the airport (I would not recommend other operators, especially WE).
