Rested in Regency Plaza from 26.05 to 09.06. 2011. The hotel was deliberately chosen despite some negative reviews that were before. The hotel on the principle of price - quality fully meets expectations (there is something to compare, because in Egypt for the fifth time and each time in the new "five"). The tour operator - Pegasus was up to the mark. Pegasus representatives at the hotel Mustafa and Rishat were present from morning to evening and were always ready to answer any questions that arose. The rooms in the hotel (we lived in building “G”) are in good condition, everything worked and is always clean. We were rested by a whole company of twelve people (four rooms in one building, placed next to each other without any additional payments after a polite request). The hotel staff understands Russian without problems, but if you use at least elementary phrases in English, the attitude will be better. Don't be too lazy to learn how to pronounce at least hello, goodbye and count to five in Arabic and you will earn a lot of sympathy from the rank and file staff. Now about what always interests our tourists. The food is varied and tasty, desserts are simply incomparable. For those who like to drink - local alcohol without restrictions from 10:00 to as much as they like (although free dry wine is only in the main restaurant). Restaurants Italian and Oriental free dinner by appointment - in principle, nothing special, you can go for a change. The paid fish restaurant deserves special attention. A fee of 20 euros per adult is fully justified - very tasty, varied (crab soup, salads and hot huge crab, squid in batter, king prawns, fish) and just a lot, plus an entertainment program - you won’t regret it. There are three swimming pools on the territory of the main hotel, plus a water park, which opened recently and many do not find it - it is in the new part of the hotel in front of the reception, which is still being completed. The water park worked from 10 to 13, but this is quite enough, there are slides for adults and children and their own several pools, which, by the way, are much cleaner because there are fewer people. There was always enough space by the pools. The beach is convenient for everyone, especially for vacationers with small children. You don't have to worry - shallow water, especially at low tides a hundred meters from the shore. For those who do not want to wander around shallow, there is a pier of two hundred meters with comfortable stairs right into the sea (depth for average height - on tiptoe). Near the pier there is no particular variety of fish, there the bottom is overgrown with greenery and fish of the corresponding color. For those who want to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world in full, there is an old coral nearby (a white flag sticking out in the sea about a hundred meters to the right of the pier if you look at the sea). At low tide, you can practically walk to it from the beach of the neighboring hotel. The variety of fish is no worse than on boat trips to the island of Tiran. Excursions can be taken from guides, but in truth, local interest is 20 cheaper. Advantage - you can try your ability to communicate with scuba diving right in the hotel pool and then decide if you can dive in the sea. The underwater world of the Red Sea is incomparable to anything. If you don’t see it at least somehow, it’s not Egypt. For those who do not dare to scuba dive, look at this beauty at least with the help of a submarine (also offered at the hotel). It is still better to take long trips around the country from guides (a guarantee of Russian-speaking accompaniment). How to relax is up to you - I will be glad if my impressions help someone to have a good rest, the main thing is to tune in to it.
