I stayed at this hotel in July 2012. Due to the fact that I was traveling alone, I was looking for the most budget option from 5 * hotels.
The hotel has a large, fairly well-groomed territory, its own mini-water park (there is something to ride). I do not remember the number of bars-restaurants, it can be read in the description of the hotel.
The contingent of tourists is quite diverse. From Italians, Germans and other Europeans to the Egyptians themselves, of which, to my great regret, there were a lot, but more on that below.
I lived in an ordinary standard room with a view... in general, without a view. I can’t tell anything remarkable about the room, except for the presence of cockroaches in the shower (I arranged a small photo shoot with one of them).
Meals, as it became clear to me later, are common for budget hotels in Egypt. Personally, I ate only vegetables and meat. It was frankly dumb to use other culinary "delicacy"))

Alcoholic drinks, as elsewhere, are diluted, but this may be for the better; )
I can't say enough bad things about the hotel staff. It was only their reluctance to give out drinks of 2 glasses in one hand that upset them... but a conversation with the manager helped resolve this issue.
The animation at the hotel is not bad, in the evenings they put on decent performances.
There is formally a disco on the territory, but no one went there during my stay at the hotel (very hot). Dancers were taken by animators to nightclubs in Naama Bay. It costs from $10 depending on the club.
Separately, I want to talk about excursions. All excursion programs in Sharm are almost the same, they are carried out by the same companies. The only question is who will sell it to you and for how much. Hotel guides, frightening inexperienced tourists with some possible problems, literally sell them excursions at double the price. My advice to you, if you want to go on an excursion (diving, ATVs, Mount Moses, Jerusalem, Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve, Blue Lagoon, etc. ), do not be lazy, but leave the hotel and cross the road. There is an office of the tour agency "I-Sharm", the owner's name is Victor (a thin Egyptian who knows 4-5 languages). For the second year in a row I buy excursions from him and advise everyone. By the way, to the left of the tour office you can buy good oils and spices; )
In general, I can recommend Regency Plaza as a hotel for a relaxing family holiday.
There is nothing for young people to do there.
