Vacationing in Egypt for the first time. We bought a ticket for six months on the recommendation of the travel agency manager. Reviews about the hotel were by no means inspiring, the political situation in Cairo was uncontrollably heated. We prepared for the worst and went to rest.
Arrived at the hotel. The reception is chic - like a palace, the staff is kind, even shy, they speak Russian by no means fluently, but they catch the tone from a half-look. The room was given a good standard. Spacious, clean, with new furniture, double bed, 2 beds for children, plasma TV, fridge, safe; the balcony is large and cozy; the bathroom is ok (see photo). With a card / room key, they immediately issue a memo on sheet A-4, which contains complete information about the hotel, names of bars / restaurants + opening hours, payment terms, phone numbers inside the hotel.
Settled in - and in the pool! Immediately establish contacts with vacationers, from whom they learned about the daily routine, events, nuances. The hotel is huge (more than 1000 people are resting at the same time), the territory is chic, green (which is a rarity for Africa): walk and show off, enjoying the beauty of blue pools, palm trees, soft grassy lawns, outlandishly trimmed bushes, paved paths! Closer to the sea - a quiet part, beautiful Arabic-style buildings, a playground, a swimming pool - in the evening a photo shoot is there: everything is highlighted, simply licked. The active zone is near the water park, where we lived: bright three-story buildings, animators from morning to evening (water aerobics twice a day, master classes in various types of dances, flash mob), near the "Shoutime" amphitheater, where entertainment is held every evening programs (once a week - then repeat): first for children, and then for adults, once a week a children's party for the whole day, a foam disco on the beach for $ 12 for young people from 23 to 20 hours. 12 animators (no one speaks Russian: Poles, Turks, Italians) entertain with a bang: it's impossible to get bored! You fall in the evening without arms or legs, and in the morning - again unstoppable fun!

Food, as everywhere in Muslim countries: specific, spicy, mashed soups, omelettes, pasta, pancakes, vegetables in abundance, dry breakfasts, sugary local sweets (buns, pudding cakes) - choose for every taste. To avoid diarrhea, eat what is neutral and familiar: the European table is always present. If you want to try everything: take three plates and load them to the full with everything you see - that's what all Russians do! (( It is nice to have dinner at various restaurants (Indian, Italian, Oriental, Chinese is being prepared), having previously signed up with the guide from 17 to 17.30 on the same day. There are a lot of people in the common central dining room / restaurant (sometimes there are not enough dishes, but after a minute everything appears : it’s quite possible not to rush to fill the womb! ), but the staff works very quickly and professionally: you don’t have to come in advance and artificially create queues: it’s impossible to stay hungry !!!
At the Regency Plaza Aqua Park & Spa Resort, mostly Arabs, Poles, British, Italians rest - therefore, there are some difficulties in terms of the language barrier (the staff has not yet properly learned our language, but almost everyone speaks English).
A separate topic about our brother: they don’t like Russians there because of our disgustingness, which you can’t hide: at 6 in the morning they race sunbeds by the pool, and come there after dinner; those who are more impudent (these are exclusively Russians) throw off other people's towels and innocently declare that it was so; in a restaurant, the heads of families yell obscenities in front of their own children, indignant at why they were not given cutlery, and he paid for the "all inclusive"; grandmothers / mothers are scandalous at any opportunity; in the restaurant, the mother of the family shouts at the entire Ivanovo to the father, taking the queue for all 16 types of dishes: “Seryoga, get the horns for everyone! ”, sending the children to other queues; someone didn't get something to drink in the evening - he yelled like crazy! ; no one gets drunk like ours (it’s almost impossible there: the alcohol is weak, the heat is up to 50 degrees, and it’s a pity to spend time on unrestrained drunkenness: you want to be filled with impressions, and not drunken oblivion): with filled balls they sit in the heat in bars under out in the open, trying to take a photo with the shy staff as a memento before heading home. In general, the attitude is appropriate. Moreover, Russians can be seen from afar: they are always tipsy or dissatisfied, they feed fish with bread and eggs in the sea, trying to see the beauties of the underworld of the Red Sea in this way, they climb almost on palm trees for a picture "I was here! ", swing rights, violate all the rules. In the bar on the beach there is an announcement in 5 languages: evenly, in small print, without punctuation / exclamation marks, and the last in the largest letters: "DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FROM THE BAR !!!!!! " And then we complain in the reviews about ants, cockroaches and other insects in the rooms. Shame and disgrace of our nation in 5 stars!
The hotel is in order: the rooms are cleaned regularly, if there is a green sign on the door handle (it is customary to leave a tip in the amount of $ 2-3), the territory is regularly processed by special staff in the form of a cloud with a machine smell from all kinds of midges and living creatures (without this it is not difficult to imagine how many living creatures). Towels are changed daily: two per person, drinking water is delivered in 1.5 liters. The staff is so trained that they do not dare to raise their eyes to the vacationers: they are extremely polite, laconic, smiling in moderation, and efficient. Air conditioners work properly everywhere (in all rooms): the heat is felt only in the open sun, which is avoided by everyone who knows what kind of burns you can get from being in direct sunlight, scattering lumps of scorched skin - here you are, my friend, a bronze spotted tan and swimming in a T-shirt - five days out of ten / fourteen down the drain ! : from 12 to 16 you will not see anyone under the sun (except Russians, again). We collected 5 bottles of sunscreen / after sun lotion - we used only one bottle for 4, a first aid kit - according to the full program (from allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, hygienic lipstick: lips are very dry from an excess of ultraviolet radiation, etc. ) In case of any problems (water does not drain, electricity is out, the lock does not work, and other possible problems in such a large hotel) - immediately call the reception - everything is resolved within 10-15 minutes at any time of the day.

If you want to communicate with the local population, enough Arabic flavor, adventures of a different nature - please leave the hotel territory, or even better, go to the Old City for $ 20 by taxi or 5 from the hotel (everything is extremely cheap and curious, but by no means decent ).
Next to the oriental restaurant there is a fruit shop: 5 hundred mangoes in July, guava, peaches, plums, watermelons, grapes, melons, 4 types of apples - for every taste. The hotel does not indulge in fruit.
A supermarket 300 m to the left of the hotel offers a wide range of products: there are all kinds of local juices/drinks, pitted/hazelnut dates and other gift-wrapped fillings, harissa (local spicy sauce), fruits/vegetables and more. etc. Souvenir products are plentiful along the way in every shop: there they spit in Russian with might and main! ))
Beach. Large: no need to take sunbeds)). The pontoons are good on both sides: wooden, smooth. The sea for kids or for ladies: knee-deep in 100 meters, up to the neck - after 250. No bathing slippers are needed: the sand is clean, not a pebble, it went to the ankle - and you can immediately go to bed (it will not get deeper anyway) - bath Cleopatra)). There is a coral wall about 500 meters from the shore: there is always a wave and it is not safe - therefore it is better to immediately plan an excursion on a yacht (Tiran Island or Ras Mohamed). It is quite possible to travel from street agencies: 2-3 times cheaper, the service is the same, the divorce is minimal. Tour operators do not commit atrocities: they do not use horror stories, knowing full well about healthy competition. We learned in advance all the possible offers in Sharm El Sheikh (prices, conditions, contacts) - I recommend the Gena and Cheburashka Agency http://www. sinaivoyage. ru to everyone. They called the indicated phone number from the reception: they came for us in 15 minutes, after 5 minutes. brought to the office (we still made our choice regarding excursions at home) - everything was arranged calmly, we were rushed back with music! I went at my own risk to Israel alone (1 day) - very pleased: I saw the Dead Sea, visited holy places, visited a colorful country, saw Orthodox Jews, Israeli Duty Free has no equal among the prices / quality of duty-free shops. And it's for $70.

On your own, you can visit Soho Square in the evening - a beautiful street with musical fountains, European type, with appropriate prices, as well as Nabq, Naama Bay.
The beach area passes through a beautiful palm alley (a narrow jogging track with speed bumps), walking along which you can enter the territory of neighboring hotels of the same level. Before breakfast at 6-7 o’clock it’s quite pleasant to walk / run there (nets for dates hang on palm trees: so that they ripen and do not fall to the ground), completing the walk by swimming in the sea (the pier opens from 10 o’clock, but it’s possible to go through the rope for pleasure swim).
In conclusion, I would like to say - well done Egyptians: they know how to create comfortable conditions for recreation in all respects!
And to our compatriots, the appeal / parting word is the following: be a man - and you will be treated the same way. And if you yell everywhere: "You owe me everything here: I have everything included! " - maybe it's better to first turn on your head and remember what elementary ethics of behavior, culture, respect for others mean?
I was so offended and ashamed of the Russians that I thought: why are we such disgraceful people and perceive us even in Egypt as second-rate ones? From a bad life or something, or is it the sad result of the Soviets?
In general, a good rest depends a lot on us! All conditions are created. This is exactly the case in this hotel.
