We got ready to go spontaneously and this time we needed a hotel cheaper than we had traveled before. Since the knowledge of Sharm hotels was only from the luxury category, for the first time in my life I had to seek advice from a travel agency (I don’t want to offend anyone, but for us, there are enough reviews, etc. from the Internet, since we clearly know what we want and what we can turn a blind eye to). They offered two hotels, one of which was Renaissance, despite the fact that it had a much worse rating from reviews. We chose it because of the beautiful territory and, most importantly, because of the steps (at least there will be some movement, which surprised the tour inexpressibly. agent). So, my opinion in order:
The hotel is large, beautiful, green, built in a cascade. The rooms are a little old, some buildings are closed for repairs, but nothing happens. Inside is clean, but needs renovation, everything speaks of former luxury.
The room is a large bathroom with a bathtub, shower, bidet, bath accessories (everything is clean, whole). The room has an iron, dryer and ironing board, a set for tea, coffee, glasses, cups, an ice bucket. There are about 70 TV channels. 2 twin beds turned out to be uncomfortable (they moved around all the time), very soft mattresses (it's my own fault, I chose a room closer to the warm pool). Poor sound insulation (the room was paired with an adjacent suite with Arab citizens).

The contingent is empty, completely empty. Aw! ! There were Arabs from different Arab countries (decent and not noisy), Italians, Ukraine (I'm afraid there weren't even 100 people). The beauty! So the brains rested! Who needs additional communication and acquaintances - to another hotel. Here is peace, relaxation, silence or relaxing music, the sound of the sea... and even, as it were, the unreality of what happens from the absence of people on the beach and near the pools.
Food - the choice is not large (there are no 15 types of meat and 30 types of salads), but everything is not that edible, very tasty. They don’t get a little meat, sweet is amazing (the confectioner is very good, cakes, tiramisu and profiteroles are not always cooked like that in Kyiv). Melons, tangerines, grapefruit, pomegranate. Every day, some kind of novelty (for Christmas, they gave a whole baked turkey). For an afternoon snack in the main building, everything is different every day too (either hamburgers, then a hot dog, then fish and chips). For a week, nothing happened again. Excellent hummus. for breakfast, oatmeal porridge, yogurt, "Russian pancakes", yogurt even from the supermarket. Clean tablecloths, napkins, not broken or chipped dishes. We are demanding and I specifically paid attention.
The weather - mid-January - was successful - the air was 25-27, there were several windy days, but more without wind. Cold! sea ​ ​.20 degrees (this was encountered for the first time).
The beach is for our taste, wonderful, uneven sandy, but with elevation changes and cliffs. Very beautiful and picturesque (but not for everyone, probably not suitable for children, there are no fences). The reef is a lot of small colorful fish, you swim among them, there are also large parrots, a lot of surgeons. We didn't swim far because the water was cold. The reef as a whole was liked more than in Naama and Nabq. Next time I will also watch this area (Ras um el Sid and nearby Hadaba). An excellent bartender on Ali Beach, before he had time to raise his head, he was already running with wine or a cocktail.
Attitude - at least to us, was excellent. Yes, I think everyone else too. Minor problems were solved, major, spoiling the rest, was not. Yes, and on the one hand, we are demanding, but we don’t spoil the mood without quirks and neither ourselves nor others.

The tour operator is joint up-specific (our hotel was 4 from the airport, we rode slowly and tediously for about an hour from the airport and to the airport). He didn't leave his name or phone number. On the day of departure, they themselves approximately calculated the time, called and found out when our bus would arrive.
Water - no problem in bottles on site. Soft and not very tasty. Especially in tea, I don't like coffee with milk either. I drank mostly cocoa (Nesquik with milk, hot chocolate in their language).
The price, in our opinion, is absolutely normal, the average price for this hotel (full compliance with price = quality), although many may disagree with me, because we all love "freebies" - pay less, and get more and another supplement and a couple gifts. Our vacation was excellent and very fast, despite minor troubles or inconveniences (for example, the lock was demagnetized in the morning, and by the evening it just broke), the main thing you want from a vacation is what you get. I wish everyone to rest only with a good mood!
Animation - we didn't need it, but the level was minus 10. Poor girls, looking for tourists, run around the territory all day long, don't dance, etc. they don’t know how, with the show there are also problems. I would recommend changing them.
Room tip: Close to the sea in summer, on the second floor. Closer to the main building in winter.
