We rested with our loved ones in Resta from December 30 to January 9, we were very satisfied with the rest, the only thing that spoiled the rest was the Arabs themselves: they were so annoying, nasty... In general, they were not going to this hotel at all and not on this date, but our flight canceled and had to choose another hotel and another category (were going to Sonesta Taba 5* on January 6th). I’ll start my story in order: we landed at the airport and were amazed by the warm sun (despite the fact that there were clouds in the sky), after all, summer in the middle of winter is a miracle (especially since we live in the north, where winter is 9 months)! Prepare immediately $ 15 without change, because they give change in pounds at an incomprehensible rate. Then the guide Saar Wahl (I think that's his name) picked us up on the bus and they started to take us to the hotels, they took us about 30 minutes, we were taken last. The first impression of the hotel was average, I did not immediately like the fact that the pool was ice cold, but some people (probably walruses ; ) swam. Check-in to the rooms was at 14:00 local time, there was free time before check-in, at 14:00 we were fed and given a key to the room. The porter picked up the bags, brought us to the room... the room was terrible... the closet smelled of something sour, 2 (ours and someone else's) rooms were connected by a door with a huge gap under the door... the view from the window was on an abandoned hotel and on a bunch of garbage... in general, we did not like the room, but the porter did not leave without his dollar. As a result of long negotiations with the receptionist, for $ 50 they gave us a magnificent room, estimated by the restaurant, with the best view of the pool, with a huge balcony. The fact that the hotel is located far from the sea did not upset us, because every day we went to different beaches: free, paid and wild. The most amazing-wild, we saw such a variety of fish only on an excursion to Tiran Island (by the way, we took an excursion not in a hotel (10 bucks more expensive per person), but simply from street "merchants", as you leave the hotel immediately to the right (how to go to paid beach), there is a “barker”, you won’t pass by. We went very well, sailed on the yacht “Galaktika”, guide Mimo as a good guide, did his job 100%, although he was stoned (they all smoke there and offer hashish on every corner). A ticket to a paid beach costs 3 bucks, I don’t understand why in other reviews people write about 5 bucks, we paid 3 bucks per person. But the entrance is not very convenient from the pontoon (from the bridge) and the depth is immediately very large, somewhere I read 150 meters. Who does not know how to swim, you are not here, although it is impossible to drown in the Red Sea, it has been tested for yourself! a bus takes a bus to the free beach at 8 am and at 13:30, there is a sea like we have on the Black Sea, no corals, the entrance is sandy, club music is constantly playing on the beach, you can dance. The water in the sea is VERY warm, I’m a terrible cold, but I went into the water without problems and when you swim you don’t feel any discomfort. It takes 30 minutes to go to the wild beach for free, but it's worth it! Be sure to bring coral slippers (we bought them for $ 4) or flippers. People are constantly taken to the wild beach on an excursion, we swam and saw people, they waved to us from a bathyscaphe and boats with a transparent bottom. In a supermarket near the hotel, we bought a disposable underwater camera for $ 14 for 27 photos, I don’t know if anything turned out, they haven’t printed it yet. The hotel is mostly occupied by people from Russia, Poland. The hotel is close to karting, so do not take a tour from the guide at the hotel, it will be $30 per person, and we went ourselves and for $34 we rode on a large track together in 2 cars. We went to the dolphinarium, but we were not warned that it would be cool there, so take something warm with you, such as a windbreaker. In general, in the evening the weather was very different from the daytime, if it was hot during the day, then in the evening I even once put on a down jacket, which I wear in Russia to minus 15 degrees. By the way, about cleaning the room, they cleaned it regularly, washed the floors, changed towels, even twisted a crocodile and a snake from bedding (but this is for a fee, we left 10 pounds ($ 2), for 5 pounds no one did anything, just cleaning There was also a sad side of our vacation, a jacket was stolen from a loved one, I have a topic that is 2 times more expensive than a jacket... the jacket was taken away along with a chair for New Year's Eve, and I hung the topic on the balcony to dry, we left for the old topic city already there wasn’t... at the reception they just wrote down that things were missing and no one returned them to us... buy alcohol at Duty Free at departure airports, because. in local Duty Free shops you can buy alcohol only on the first two days of arrival and at high prices, for example, champagne cost 50 bucks in the old town... there is no iron and hair dryer in the hotel. In the old city, they bought strawberries for $1, mango for $6, a hookah in a hotel costs $2, in other places $1. I honestly liked the food, especially the pastries, very tasty, fresh. The food, although monotonous, was acceptable, there were no stomach problems, people from other hotels complained about the food. The hotel has billiards and table tennis, it is tolerable to play billiards, but you can play (the table is tilted a little and all the balls fly in one direction), but tennis is completely impossible (with the rackets offered at the reception). Playing billiards costs 3 bucks. There was no animation throughout the rest, except for the last 2 days, Sveta (by the way, hello to Sveta! ) A sweet girl "taught" us oriental dances and invited us to "exercise", well done! With her, the hotel brightened up a bit! The hotel offers a back massage for 15 bucks and a full body massage for 30 bucks, my favorite did, I didn’t, but he didn’t like it, he said that the masseur was “hacking”. In general, if you are going to go to Resta, I wish you a pleasant stay! Go you won't regret it!
