They broke down on vacation, only Anex Tour was caught from last-minute vouchers. Buy today, go tomorrow. We left our clothes in a suitcase, and - voila - we are at the airport. At night, they nervously called a representative of the tour operator, bought tickets right before the start of registration and drove. Further without incident - takeoff, landing, landing. By the way, the charter plane was half empty, so my wife even managed to sleep lying down. The most interesting began after landing. With suitcases in hand, we ran for a long time from buses to minibuses. At least with some inscription - or the tour operator or the number that we were told when leaving the airport. The bus was decent, even with air conditioning. But our Royal Grand Sharm hotel turned out to be the last one, and we managed to see all the delights of real Egypt. The true face turned out to be full of dirt, garbage and smelly camels. Against the backdrop of a newly arrived civilization, there is a bright contrast between chic roads with rich illumination and filthy roadsides with half-wild Egyptian natives. Arrival at the hotel: At the exit of the bus, pretty Maria told us that in an hour and a half (i. e. at 9.30 am) we will be met by a local hotel guide from our tour operator. They “ringed” us right away, so we were able to have breakfast already as hotel guests. After that, in fact, we again returned to the reception and began to wait for a certain Anton. Half past ten, ten..... Anton is not. In the end, I found out that Anton is not and will not be until six in the evening! Sorry! But what about us? We began to settle on our own. Beautifully (from $ 5) they approached the reception, they say, I don’t want to hang around here until 14.00 (official check-in time) - give me a cool room....Settlement: In general, after a couple of my bows, the number was found. The local "chikidar" grabbed our suitcases, carried them 20 meters from the main entrance (so you understand - this is the farthest line from the sea on the territory of the hotel at the level of the fifth floor), opened the doors, and we saw..... No …. . first we smelled the stale smell of the toilet, mold and old furniture, as if we were checking into an old Soviet hotel for 3 kopecks. The room is small, exit from the terrace to the lawn shared with the neighbors. And this is instead of the room promised by the tour operator overlooking the sea or the pool. Moreover, everyone was warned that we are newlyweds, who on their honeymoon in this hotel are also entitled to a basket of fruits, and at least special treatment. The porter, having received the dollar, quickly fled after seeing our reaction. Naturally, we returned back to the reception, indignation was read wrong, even in our gait. Those who received my $5 for a good room half an hour ago, which, in principle, should have been given to us anyway, turned their faces into bricks. And rushed....In fact, what we were offered was complete crap for a 5***** hotel, such a room in Yalta on the central embankment can be rented for 250 UAH. /day. The war of the worlds ended in an hour, and another magical $10 settled us, thank God, in a room with access to the pool. The interior and level turned out to be decent enough, but……. . To our great clean surprise, it turned out that there were no toilet brushes in any of the hotel rooms. And we have: a clogged drain in the shower, greasy and dirty curtains, no slippers, no bathrobes either. There is a hairdryer, 2 small and 2 large towels. On the terrace there is a plastic set: a table and 2 chairs, one of them is broken. Although in the section on the contrary there are iron ones with soft seats. The smell is also not so hot, especially when the air conditioner is on. Opinion about the hotel. 1. Food. The first and most surprising thing is that all 700 tourists have breakfast and lunch in the same dining room. The food is varied, but every day is the same. For 10 days of rest, only once we saw normal service, when the general manager of the hotel visited. And so - they never gave a salad, just washed and coarsely chopped fruits and vegetables. Like food for cattle. Every morning there is a queue for scrambled eggs and pancakes. Every lunch is for pasta (vermicelli). The food is neither salty nor peppery. Every evening you run around the dining room with already laid plates in search of not just a free, but a clean table. In general, everything in this hotel is "underwhelming". The repair in the dining room is a “blap-blunder”, the chairs are soft, but greasy, if you sit on the street, you have to fight for a place in the shade. Right next to you they carry a wheelbarrow with a mountain of dirty dishes with a disgruntled mug. Turn your back, and sparrows, doves and crows will eat on your plate. Galimoe wine from packages. Regarding food and restaurants in general: in one of the restaurants, think about it, you can sign up only once for 7 days of rest (we came up three days before departure and flew by - packed), low-grade pop music is played here in live performance, once they sang karaoke in the rest are played by the classics of romantic songs, but the same disc is played in a circle, by the end of the rest it was already sick of it. In another grill restaurant, you also need to sign up during the day to get to dinner. Signed up: dinner by the pool by candlelight. Again, walking with a plate to the canteen, which, by the way, has a much more meager choice than in the general one. The beach bar, also known as the bar on the beach, is open only until sunset, so if you go in winter, you will leave the coast at three o'clock. The bar by the central pool is also open until sunset. Oh, I almost forgot, my wife was terribly indignant that, apart from the incomprehensible steamed-boiled fish, there was nothing else from seafood - here, crabs and lobsters are here....sell!!!! ! In the "olynclusive" you need to buy seafood, real coffee, and not local shmurdyak and freshly squeezed juice, if you do not want to choke on freshly prepared "yuppie". Excursions: And again about Anton, the representative of the Anex Tour tour operator at the hotel. Two days after the settlement, a miracle happened - we met him by chance. And instead of apologies, he began, they say, where have you been. With round eyes, we hinted that no one had met us, to which he rudely replied that he was here only in the evening, but that day he was, although there was a clear schedule in the morning and evening on the information stand. In general, not hoping not for him, we decided to use the services of a local tour desk located on site. Since this is not the first time in Egypt, we chose those places where we had not yet been - a trip on quadrics through the desert and an excursion to Cairo. It’s also funny here: at first, the price changed (we agreed on ATVs for two for $ 35 - they gave 20 deposits, the next day from $ 35 the price suddenly rose to $ 80, if we want camels and dinner with Bedouins. In general, after our refusal and several calls from a local spill travel agent from $ 80 the price dropped to $ 55). On the appointed day and at the appointed hour, we stood at the gate. 5 minutes, 10…. The first minibus pulls up, the second. We attack everyone. It's good that they took the phone number of this wonderful organizer. Twitching between the gate and the reception, they asked the administrator for the phone. At the other end of the line, and it was already 20 minutes, an exuberant voice was heard, they say, they were late. But we arrived just in time. With promises "I'll figure it out now" they hung up. We are waiting: a minute, five....we call back again: “Ah, they’re already on their way....". Organization - just pipets! They left. We got into a dilapidated minibus. It was alarming that only the two of us were being taken. Having somehow explained to the carrier, we found out that we would pick up the rest on the way. We stopped several times on the business of the driver - no one, in fact, is in a hurry anywhere. In the next hotel, after the words “one minute”, we nervously smoked twice, and, without waiting for the rest, we drove off, and it’s understandable who will be waiting at the gate for more than half an hour? We arrived at the parking lot of quadrics. The equipment is dead, dirty, repaired online. No one even thinks about washing, or at least wiping, ATVs between races. We were unloaded and left. Not shown, not told. We ourselves asked where we should go, where we were going, how to wind up and how to knit arafat. On the way, after about two minutes, a quad bike was smoking right in front of us. Stopped for the first time. To scream, and, what a curiosity, to hear the echo. The second stop is the Bedouin camp. There is a semblance of a toilet - a toilet without light, where you had to make your way through broken glass, highlighting your mobile phone. In a fenced area, they were seated directly on the ground, covered with unwashed and dusty knitted rugs. They offered to drink for free! - 0.3 Pepsi for $ 3 and free Bedouin tea from glass (not disposable) glasses. We graciously refused (and how do they actually wash them in the desert? ). The next stop is a local hangout in the mountain gorge. An imitated stage, a mountain decorated with garlands, and... complete unsanitary conditions and dirt. Camel riding is a dumb and smelly entertainment, and even if you ride a small circle, the local shket will lend you a hand, they say, gild. It's just annoying, it's all paid for. Naturally, at the local "Kazantip" they again sat on the ground next to local dogs and camels. For two hours we watched all sorts of garbage on stage (believe me, in Ukraine, oriental dances are performed much more skillfully! ). We were offered this tea again, given a bottle of water, a local “shisha” (hookah) for money, and lined up (more than 100 people) for Bedouin pilaf. Since I had a terrible state of health after a hotel gin and tonic and for reasons of cleanliness, we refused. Absurd! Stand in line for pilaf for 55 bucks (and here it’s like a bar or a restaurant), and then, sitting on a smelly bedding, chewing cooked pilaf in an unknown environment with a cloud of dust that simply flew off the stage and rose from the clatter of tourists, locals residents and their children, camels and dogs!... On the way back to the parking lot, we were finally able to pick up normal speed, but…. Our route went to the bypass highway - high-speed!!! ! And on bends, I kept looking around to see if there was any local scorcher in a car. After all, the motto of the locals is “the absence of rules is good! ”. They ride on roads in two lanes, the traffic on which is separated by a lawn, stupidly in the opposite direction. This is how you drive on the extreme left at full speed, and someone knocks down towards you, and even blinks, they say, I'm here, give way. He's just too lazy to get to the permitted U-turn! I'm shocked! It's good that I live in Ukraine! And finally, we were fed with sour tomatoes, Anton did not even appear to announce the departure time to us, and our room instead of European 12.00 hours, as indicated even on the entrance card, was blocked at 11.00....and we almost missed the bus to the airport. P. S. Outside the hotel, be careful - everyone wants to “warm up” you! For example, I stand, I smoke. A local "akhalai" jumped on his ship of the desert, saying "Present to you - photo". My wife pushed me, came up, he sat me down, drove two meters and let's finger it, they say it costs $ 25, and prove that you are not an elephant. Such a scandal flared up - the director, administrator, security guards... I rode a camel, in general, half a meter for 5 bucks.
