When we arrived at the ROYAL GRAND SHARM hotel, it pleasantly surprised us with its large territory, architecture, and nature. The view from the window is cool (room on the 5th floor) - you can see the sea to the horizon, the beach, the pool, palm trees, other hotels to the left / right. At the entrance to the main building there is a huge, chic hall with a reception, sofas, armchairs, tables, a fountain, coolness, a glass vessel with cold hibiscus on the table, shops, the entrance to the Caravanserai restaurant.
At the entrance to the room, in the hallway there are spacious built-in wardrobes, a mini fridge and a safe (free of charge). The bathroom has a standard set of plumbing fixtures. Everything worked, almost without remarks. There were enough towels and shampoos. For the beach, the reception issued two cards - you need to get beach towels for them, and change them if you wish. At the end of the holiday, exchange for cards again and hand over with the keys. Yes, there is a key card for the door.
In the room itself, all countertops (chest of drawers, coffee table, bedside table, bedside table in the hallway) are made of marbled stone. Very beautiful.

But then, when they settled down, they considered that not everything is so beautiful. It was all chic and beautiful, but 25-30 years ago. And over the years, the furniture has become dilapidated, dusty, and the upholstery has frayed, and on the loggia I caught a splinter on the railing, the lampshade of a table lamp with a crack, in the bathroom there are chips on the tiles. These are not working sockets (three out of six), strangely working switches. The air conditioning worked well but was very noisy. The bedding is good quality and the mattress is very comfortable. Mosquitoes did not let me sleep for only one night, then they called specialists through the reception, they came, drove, but the fumigator was still turned on for the night.
What's cool about the hotel is the whole animation team! The guys went all out. Unobtrusively, with smiles, did their job well. In the evening, various shows with invited artists, and with guests, and with children. In the afternoon, aqua aerobics, yoga, competitions, with children they prepared pizza and treated their parents, and more, and more...
The manager from Tez Tour Muhammad worked well, thanks to him and his colleagues, everything was great! Excellent excursion to Petra, on a yacht with diving, and others.
What did not like:
Until 10 am there is nowhere to drink coffee.
And fresh water in the showers near the pool and on the beach is turned on from 11:00.
Free WI-FI only at the reception, and not always there!
"The patient is more dead than alive. "
There are no smoking areas in the hotel, people smoke around and everywhere. Well, at least there are a lot of ashtrays.
I did not like the total food savings regime. Everything is clear, the crisis, but not yes the same degree. A striking example is the long queue in the morning at breakfast for egg dishes - scrambled eggs, fried eggs, etc. Everything else did not leave positive memories. Is that the watermelon was sweet, delicious. Table wine, white (better) and red. The beer is light, though bottled, only one variety. No coffee in the restaurant! It is better to drink in the lobby, by the pool or at the beach bar. But even there the quality swayed sometimes. There is only one type of tea, and that is Lipton. Desserts are delicious, loved it. Take them often after dinner. This is also one of the negative indicators of the quality of main dishes. Never done that before.

A la carte restaurant: it's a nightmare! Agreed on a date in advance, came, seated. Please bring a wine list to choose and pay for a good wine for dinner, as was always done in other hotels. But, alas, this is not possible. You need to go to a bar, buy it there, and carry it to the table. Good. We drink ordinary table wine. Then they bring our order - meat and fish. The steak is tough, needed a toothpick. The fish was tasty, but with an inedible tomato garnish. And then they bring two more plates, on one pasta with ketchup. What for? What was it? Then dessert - some kind of biscuit, filled with something poisonous green, sliced u200bu200bfruits - a wooden peach, apples, wilted orange slices and a few dates. We didn't stay for coffee. And the same a la carte restaurants in the Marmaris Park Hotel, Turkish and fish, in the Greenwood Resort, Italian, pop up in my memory, when we left there in complete delight, with a sea of positive emotions! And don't skimp on tips.
In general, the result - the hotel is called a five-star, very difficult!
