Rested with a guy in the Royal 10 days in August 2017. I chose the hotel for a very long time, since this is not the first time in Egypt and I know that a lot depends on the reef and the location of the hotel. Settlement: settled very quickly in 121 rooms overlooking the pool and the sea. Our friends lived in rooms 515 and 516. They were first given terrible rooms overlooking the road or other buildings. I had to change it for a fee. The rooms are all equally large, but all the furniture in the rooms and in the hotel itself is a bit old. Cleaned and changed towels every day.
Territory of the hotel: very large and green. There are places to walk and take pictures. Beach and sea: The beach is very long and big. We liked to lie closer to the pontoon, which, by the way, is alone on the beach and closer to dinner there are a lot of people. There were always enough sun loungers on the beach, they didn’t lie near the pool, but there were always a lot of people there. The reef is a little disappointing. There were few fish and they were all the same. Because people feed the fish, the corals are dying.
Food: it's hard to imagine what people who write that there is nothing to eat in the hotel eat. The choice of food is great, another thing is that not everything is tasty. Breakfast: every day 3 types of cereal with milk, pancakes, porridge (like oatmeal, but very strange), scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese cuts, vegetables, fruits always had oranges, pomegranates (sour), pears (hard), melon and watermelon for dinner. There was also a huge selection of baked goods. Lunch and dinner: there was always pasta, but overcooked, rice, potatoes, steamed / fried / deep-fried vegetables, grilled fish and meat, made pancakes with meat or seafood, shawarma, pizza, very tasty Egyptian pie, a couple of times there were mussels and seafood mix. There were also different salads and always 2 types of soup. Desserts are mostly biscuits and delicious local sweets such as baklava. Drinks: there were juices on the bars (mango, guava, pineapple and apple), bottled water in unlimited quantities, white wine is normal, but I didn’t really like red, rum, whiskey, locally produced brandy. The bars had a menu with alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Service: the staff is polite and friendly, but there were bartenders who are clearly not suitable for working with people. At the pool bar there is a rude bartender who serves locals out of turn and we can wait for our order for 20 minutes. Animation: everything according to the standard: darts, boccia, exercises, volleyball, water polo, aqua aerobics, live music in the evening with the same Russian songs of the 90s. The animators guys are great, very sociable, friendly, for $ 10 they drove to discos. We were at a foam party but didn't really enjoy it. Also, I would like to separately note the hotel guides of the annex tour. A meeting with a guide, which takes a precious hour of time, is aimed at "selling" excursions for which the price is overpriced by 2 or even 3 times. For example, a trip to Israel: they sell at a super discount for $ 110 for one, and we went for $ 130 for two. Excursion on a yacht with diving they have $ 55, but you can go for 25-30 on the same yacht and dive in the same sea. The worst thing is that they begin to swear and threaten you when you refuse excursions.

In general, I can definitely recommend the hotel for a budget holiday, but if you are going for super service, then choose hotels of a different class.
