The first time we rested with our daughter in this hotel in 2014. They returned delighted! Then we rested twice more in Sharm, but everywhere it was "not like in Royal Grand Sharm". I wanted to come back here. Here is a comfortable quiet bay, there is always a white flag on the sea and you can swim in plenty, a wonderful reef, beautiful well-groomed territory and a special fabulous aura.

In September, I spontaneously went on vacation and decided to go only to Royal Grand Sharm. The disappointment began at the airport: okay, they helped to remove the suitcase from the tape, but then it had to be lifted to waist height for scanning before leaving the city. Although in the departure area, the baggage scanner is located much lower. Then, when boarding the bus from TEZ TOUR, I also had to stuff the suitcase into the luggage compartment on my own, although the driver had previously helped.


We arrived at the hotel, as usual, quite quickly - in 25-30 minutes. Luggage also had to be taken out from under other people's suitcases by myself - thanks, compatriots helped.
At the entrance to the hotel, an employee was waiting for guests with frozen wet towels on a tray - to refresh their face and hands. There were no problems during check-in. As I wanted, I got a room in the main building with an elevator. It pleased, as the last time we lived in the same wing. I can't say anything bad about the room. She noted that the chairs and tables on the terrace were updated. There were no mosquitoes or cockroaches, although many on the beach complained about insects in the rooms. Moreover, the cockroaches were poisoned without evicting the guests.

They cleaned daily, but the bed linen was practically not changed - they only carefully made the bed until I asked to do it personally. Towels were changed, shower gel, shampoo and soap were always replenished. I noticed that there are no garbage bags in the bins, even in public toilets. How so?

I went with a positive attitude. I didn't even believe the bad reviews.

The sea here is wonderful - warm, blue-blue.
They say that the hotel has changed owners. Well, that's a pity. Although in the main building the entire third floor is under repair, and on other floors, something is randomly tinted and covered over. Either there is not enough staff, or the attitude towards guests has changed. But the level is far from the same.

Now about nutrition. I am not a fan of eating to satiety, but from our race, in my opinion, no one escaped diarrhea. The apothecary in the hotel has a good business in this, as our remedies for Egyptian intestinal infection do not cope well. And, of course, I drank only bottled water, I brushed my teeth with it, I didn’t add ice to drinks. Nevertheless, she did not save herself (even the temperature rose) and until the very departure she was forced to eat rice and chicken in order to avoid a relapse.


Air conditioning in the main restaurant did not work well. In the restaurant for gold bracelets, on the contrary, the wind was so strong that I tried to sit further away so as not to catch a cold.
Weak, of course, but it was possible to contact relatives via viber without problems.

Animation is very weak, at the level of school amateur performances, not higher. Lots of movement, few achievements. Previously, before and after the show time, everyone lined up for a flash mob. "Boooom-ba! " - and everyone from young to old danced together in front of the stage, on which the animators lit up. Now everything is colorless. The team clearly lacks a host of the show. Like clapping, dancing. Everything is boring in competitions, long pauses without comments. Guest singers run by day of the week, with one girl not hitting any note at all. Doesn't anyone hear? There used to be a fire show, and a belly dance, and a chamber quartet, and dances with skirts. Now nothing.

I want to note the work of the bartender Hasan. Lighter man. He manages everything: during work he sings along, dances, jokes, makes jokes and even manages to clean the dishes on the tables on the terrace during show time.
In general, the trip, of course, is satisfied. I flew by parachute from a boat, swam, and lost weight. ))) After all, we are not going to the sea to look at the cracked tiles in the shower. But involuntarily you compare the rest with the previous time. I hope that the hotel will soon restore its rating and will correspond to 5 *. Now I can only give 3*.
