Arrived in Egypt with a delay of 2 hours. We were met by representatives from the tour company Pegas Touristik. As soon as they went out into the street, the wretchedness of the Pegasus transport and the luxurious Tez-tour buses immediately caught my eye. At first glance, I did not like the hotel, there was a construction site around, a nondescript view, little greenery, but after accommodation and acquaintance the next day, half of my views changed. Indeed, construction is underway around the hotel and will not end, it seems, not soon. Inside the hotel there is a large area with two swimming pools, a bar, a hookah and an animation area. The hotel consists of two large two-story buildings. The rooms are clean, spacious, the view from the rooms leaves much to be desired, if you were not lucky enough to take a room in the second building overlooking the square with the pools. The staff is friendly, welcoming. The rooms were cleaned well, towels and sheets changed every day. The animation is good, 6 people, 3 of them Russian, work from morning to evening. Diverse program, nice animators. The program includes aqua aerobics, water polo, Latin dances, table tennis and darts. In the evening, a variety of entertainment programs. There is no disco, we went to the neighboring "Holiday". Many visited the city, there are plenty of them, like other bars and hookahs. The food at the hotel is good, if you add a variety of dishes, you could say excellent. A lot of various pastries and not enough meat and fish dishes. Until 23:00, two bars and a restaurant operate on an all-inclusive basis. Alcoholic local, good beer. The hotel has two beaches, which are served by buses. Coral, a little further, but it is preferable, because it is larger and richer in the underwater world. By the way, covers for digital cameras are sold here in the market in the old town, buy it, you won't regret it! Paid massage therapists work at the pool and on the beach. The currency does not have to be changed to local pounds, everything is sold for dollars. I would like to dwell separately on the tour operator Pegas Touristik and his representative at the hotel. The arrogance and cynicism of the representative of this company, Tatyana, is simply amazing. At the first meeting and communication with her, even an unpleasant aftertaste remained. I'll explain why. Before leaving for Egypt, I read a little about the country in general and the hotel in particular. If he was ready for the construction site and the unfinished staircase to the city center, then one could only guess about such a reception by a representative of the tour company. After an introductory speech about the rules of living, recreation and the peculiarities of the country, they began selling us tickets for excursions, in the truest sense of the word. I and other newly arrived tourists from Syktyvkar decided not to rush to purchase excursions. When I asked about the difference in prices for excursions from city operators and from Pegasus, she answered with anger in her voice that Bedouin firms cannot be contacted, no one is responsible for us there, they take an additional fee for visiting temples and lunch, there is no security, translators no, etc. And in general, bad reviews and opinions about Pegasus are the machinations of competitors. It’s good that we didn’t fall for her fairy tales. After lunch we went to the city and, after talking with agents, took vouchers to Cairo and Israel for 45 and 80 dollars, respectively. Tatyana's prices were slightly different - 80 and 210 bucks, and Israel without stopping at Jesus' homeland, Bethlehem. Excursion buses are excellent, Russian-speaking guides were waiting for us upon arrival at the facilities. In buses, a security officer, and an escort from a tour company. Visiting museums and temples, lunches - everything is free, in general, the complete opposite of what Tatyana said. The impressions from the excursions are the most positive, especially Israel! All sea and other excursions are also much cheaper from local guys. In general, this business is one of the few they have, so the attitude towards it is the most responsible. You will take, bargain, you can also get a discount of 5-10 dollars. In general, the rest was not bad. And they didn’t communicate with Tatyana anymore, there’s no need for negativity on vacation.
