We ventured to relax at the Sharm Reef Resort. I flew with my husband.
Why take the risk? Because many travel agencies dissuade from rest in 3 *. In 2017 rested in Albatros Aqua Blu Sharm 4*+. Of course, we did not compare 3* and solid 4*, but we wanted to get experience for ourselves and is it worth going, or is it better to definitely go to 4 and 5*?
Pros:

We were really satisfied with the Sharm Reef hotel and the rest in general! The hotel is compact, the territory is not large, the buildings are not new. There is the most basic: one bar, swimming pools for children and adults, an area for animation. The settlement went quickly. We did not give any additional payment "for a good number". Moved into the one that was given. The room is average, there was no working outlet, the furniture is not new. But we are not picky and we understood that this is not 5 *. The food is strange, but we liked everything. There was meat, and side dishes, and salads, pastries, and even a variety of fruits. By the way, there were few fruits in Albatros Aqua Blu. No one was poisoned, which is important to us! The pool is excellent, the maximum depth is 215 cm, the smell of bleach is barely perceptible, the water is clean. The sea and the beach are 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel. Or you can take the bus from the hotel. Excellent driver. Bus without air conditioning. Three minutes drive and here it is the beach. The beach is tidy. Sunbeds are normal, not killed. Steps to the sea. Immediately great depth, 18 meters and deeper. Those who are not afraid of depth will like it, this beach is not suitable for vacationers with small children. In principle, there was no colorful reef, the fish swam)). The location of the hotel is convenient. In 20 minutes on foot you can walk to the old market. 40 minutes walk to the Carrefour supermarket (Euroopt, Almi). Also near the hotel there are many shops where you can walk in the evening.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the hotel has really great animators!! ! Which laid out to the fullest! On the very first morning, all the animators unobtrusively approached us in turn and greeted us, invited us to exercise, water aerobics, darst and an evening event. I really liked all the animators Liza, Nastya, Zhanna, Moa, Usha, Jamaica. Lisa and Nastya feel the mood of vacationers and speak “on the same wavelength”, which seems to me very important in their work. Animator Zhanna is a perky girl who is always on the move. Liked and all the animators-boys. Each of them tried to make the rest fun! All of them really tried and gave all the best to 100%. Thanks to them, the atmosphere in the hotel is better than in Albatros Aqua Blu (there was no animation).
The hotel staff was friendly and answered all questions if they arose. There was no such thing as “like they didn’t understand us”. Everything was decided. I would like to note the manager at the reception, Yusef. Always with a smile, always help, understood and spoke Russian)). In the dining room, I really liked two waiters, but, unfortunately, they did not find out their names. Also tried very hard to make everything good, the general manager of the dining room and bar.
Of the minuses.
1. Poor cleaning of the room. At least we have. We left no money, no chocolates. There was no water, no shampoo, no stains on the towel. But the manager Yusef helped us to solve all these questions. In other buildings, you can see the cleaning was done by other guys, and after talking with the vacationers, it was clear that the cleaning depends on the cleaner)) since they cleaned normally, but people also didn’t leave a dollar.
2. Bed linen was changed only upon request, towels are often stained, not snow-white. I would like the hotel to “pull up” this side. Because there are squeamish people and this aspect will become significant when choosing a hotel.

3. The territory is cleaned, but not perfect. There were used cups and papers in the bushes. We are not critical.
4. Everything is good in the dining room, but there were often not enough cups and saucers for tea. I had to wait until they brought it.
5. At the bar, some drinks are free, some are paid. We didn't know about it. It touched the case and the bar manager told us. For example: fanta, colla, tea, coffee from a coffee machine (by the way, not bad coffee), local alcohol, bottled beer (I don’t remember which one) - for free. And cocktails, Turkish coffee, imported alcohol and beer - for a fee. By the way, the bar manager made a compliment from the hotel and treated us to "chocolate cocktails". It was nice))
Wrote such a great review, because. when choosing a hotel (from inexpensive), there were few reviews for this hotel, in particular, 2018. They were all somehow grouped on one site and all were "normal". To be honest, this was alarming before the trip)). We flew with the thought "We'll arrive and see"))) We saw that the hotel is good, for 3 *))) You can safely fly! Rest was a success in Sharm Reef Hotel 3 *!
