3rd time in Egypt. The first time was in Hurghada in 2007 at 4 * (from 21.12. 2007 to 30.12. 2007), the second - in Sharm El Sheikh at Sheraton Main 5 * (from 28.09. 2008 to 11.10. 2008), after which disappointment remained from the ratio of price and quality, so for the next trip I chose a budget hotel, but with good reviews - Sharm Reef 3 * +. Let me just say that I am very pleased with my choice.

Rested in this hotel from August 29 to September 11.2010. In general, I am very satisfied with the rest in this hotel, but the impressions of the rest depend, first of all, on what was the main criteria for choosing a hotel for you.
The hotel was chosen by me according to the following criteria:
The beach is private, no further than 800 m from the hotel.
Room: in-room safe required.
Quiet and peaceful hotel.
Budget - up to $ 1000. For 2 weeks in a single room.
And now I will describe in more detail:
Arrangement: the hotel is located on the 2nd line from the sea in 20 min.

drive from the airport, directly opposite the El Mercato shopping and entertainment complex (civilized shops with fixed prices, cafes, restaurants, McDonald's).
The territory of the hotel is small, but it is very well planned. It is noticeable that the location of all infrastructure elements was thought out in advance, and not completed as needed. The entire territory of the hotel can be divided into 2 peculiar zones. The first zone is a large 4-zone pool with different depths from 10 cm to 2.8 m, in the center of which there is a bar. Around the pool are typical 2-storey hotel buildings with 8 rooms each, so that the windows of all rooms overlook the pool. The second zone is the Relax-pool, smaller in size, but around it there are also 2-storey buildings, each with 4 rooms. There are ramps throughout the territory: it is convenient to carry a suitcase, and people with disabilities can relax (2 wheelchair users rested with me).
Rooms: The rooms are quite spacious, all with balconies. The balconies are different in shape and size, but very cozy. I do not presume to say, but, with a sea view, probably only 8 rooms. They are located on the 2nd floor of two buildings, which, although located around a large pool, have windows overlooking the sea, and doors to the pool. I was lucky: they gave me a room with a sea view without any requests or additional payments from my side, so when I entered the room, I was pleasantly pleased with the gorgeous view from the balcony of my room. Room cleaning is daily, quite thorough, but I didn’t need daily cleaning, I hung a “do not disturb” sign, and no one really entered the room. But as soon as I removed the sign, the room was removed. When, I don't know.
I have never encountered cleaners (in the same Sheraton hotel, I returned from the beach three times during sunset, and the cleaning was just starting, so I had to sit on the balcony until the room was cleaned). In the room: electronic safe (free of charge), mini-bar fridge, hair dryer, TV, table, two chairs, 2 bedside tables, there is also a table and 2 chairs on the balcony. In the bathroom: 4 towels per person, toilet, bidet, sink, shower compartment with a curtain, shampoos and shower gels (perhaps they are given out once per arrival, but since I used my own means, and the hotel ones were untouched - I can't say for sure). Everything is clean, the sink and faucets are new, the toilet is not new, but clean. There were no problems with plumbing, safe, lock, windows, etc. for 2 weeks of rest at all. The air conditioner worked great. I want to note that not every 4 * hotel has shampoos and shower gels, but this 3 * hotel did.

Room rating - 5+ points.
After dinner by the pool, an entertainment show that has not been repeated in 2 weeks. The pool bar worked until late (I can’t even say until what time, I left at 2 am, but it was still working  ). The range of drinks is limited, but I did not care. From strong: rum and vodka. Low alcohol: beer, cocktails. All drinks were served in glasses.
Nutrition rating - 5 points.
Swimming pool. Large, several zones of different depths (described above). I really liked that they allowed to swim in the pool at night. Moreover, the pool is heated even in the hot season, so the children did not get out of the pool all day without any problems. Pool - 5 points.

Beach. In a straight line from the hotel to the sea about 400 m, but from the hotel to the beach at least 800 m. A bus runs to and from the beach on schedule, almost every half hour. Despite the fact that it’s 12 minutes to the beach at a fast pace, I walked only 2 times on foot, all the time I went by bus. Towels for the beach - from the hotel.
The beach is private, small but very spacious. From most of the neighboring 4 * hotels we were taken to the beach of our hotel for an additional fee. There were always free sunbeds with mattresses, regardless of the time of arrival. There is a shower, a restaurant - for an additional fee. Prices are reasonable, pizza and cocktails are delicious.
When I was choosing a hotel, they tried to dissuade the travel agency with the words that "there is some kind of ambush with the beach. " I explain: it turns out that the “ambush” is that a staircase, 3 m long, leads from the shore to the sea (there is no pantone at all, and this is a huge plus for me), and immediately at the foot of the stairs a huge depth begins (the bottom is not visible at all). But on both sides of the pantone stretches the most beautiful coral with many marine life of different stripes.

For those who are interested, I’ll briefly go through the types of marine inhabitants that I saw in 2 weeks: fish of all stripes, as well as lionfish, stingray (seen to the left of the stairs in the afternoon), turtle (also to the left after lunch), moray eels (to the right of the stairs in 7 am or at 16.30 went hunting), barracuda. The reef is beautiful and interesting. In general, it’s difficult for people who don’t know how to swim there, although here you can find pluses - buy a vest, sleeves and a mask with a snorkel and be glad that you don’t flounder in the sand of the beaches of Naama Bay, but study the underwater world, for which most people go to Egypt. Even 3-4 year old kids swam there in vests.
The only caveat is that the current, from left to right, usually stopped after 2 pm. It appeared for 3 days before the tides turned into high tides, very strong.
I swim very well (I don’t boast), but when I wanted to go back, I suddenly realized that the forces were not at all equal, if I swam with all my might, then I remained in place, and as soon as I rested a little, I immediately drifted further. There is nothing terrible, I had to get out of the water onto the pontoon of the neighboring hotel, which was located downstream and walk back to my beach. By the way, many have done just that. There was no caretaker on our beach, but caretakers on neighboring beaches during the currents do not allow you to enter the water, so look at the neighboring beach and draw conclusions - is it worth it to swim far. For me, the beach and reef are 5 points.
Animation: the description of the hotel indicated that there was no animation, but when I was resting, they hired an animator girl who conducted an unpretentious animation program: aerobics, water aerobics, water polo, accompanied those who wanted to disco in the evening. I didn't need it. There are no animations for children.
Sports: next to the pool there are 8 exercise machines (free of charge), but only the bar “works”. The rest are broken. It didn’t bother me, because the gym was not listed in the description of the hotel. I took running shoes with me and ran in the morning from the hotel to the sea and back. There are table tennis and billiards (free of charge).
The national composition of vacationers: this hotel is very popular with residents of the Scandinavian countries - Swedes, Norwegians, Dutch (on their sites with reviews, the phrases “quality is higher than price” flash everywhere); there were also many Danes, British, Germans among the vacationers. There are very few Russians. I haven't met Italians in 2 weeks. The age of the guests is different.
Internet: there is an Internet salon with 2 computers.

The main advantages of the hotel for me: excellent comfortable rooms with a safe in the room, excellent private beach, excellent food, excellent service (everything is done for people), a wonderful pool open until late, calm, friendly, psychologically comfortable atmosphere (which is especially important k. rested alone)
Cons: None for me. Definitely would return to this hotel again. The only thing with children would go to another hotel where there is a kids club.
