We rested at the end of May, but the move finally came to write a review, especially after I once again see a rating of 7.8 points - despite the fact that Sharm Plaza has only 6.2 (although the Resort and Plaza are the same thing, and the rooms at the Resort are even worse). In my subjective opinion - 6.2 is enough for this hotel complex. In principle, I would have given much higher if it were not for the disgusting food - not only was the assortment very poor, but also almost all the dishes (except sweet, of course) were terribly peppered and oversalted.
We went to the dining room without any pleasure and were not in a hurry to go there at all - we had never had such a thing for 4 trips to Egypt. But the hotel has, if I'm not mistaken, as many as 5 a la cartes, which at least brighten up the evening meal with their decor. We never got into the Mexican one - everyone we talked to said that the cuisine in it was terrible. By and large, the food at the hotel was the only fat minus for me, except for the disgusting room in which we were settled upon arrival at 11 at night - with a non-working air conditioner, without a balcony. The next day, however, they moved to a room that completely suited us (of course, "stealing" at the same time a precious half-day of carefree rest for clarification and resettlement), and I wanted to forget about the bad.
Beach and sea are great! These are the main criteria for us. There were always plenty of sun loungers on the beach, towels are given here - very convenient. The pontoons, of course, are still in that "wonderful" state - on a slippery flooded one it is easy to get injured, on a floating one there is a very uncomfortable staircase to enter the sea. But the sea blocked all the minuses for us. Yes, I also saw a more reverent attitude of the staff towards foreigners - but what can you do ? ! They are generous with tips, but we are not... Yes, I forgot to write that our tour was "burning", it cost $ 580 for two, and I did not bring with me, as usual, "extra" kilograms, in than I found a special positive))) So I was satisfied with the rest and at the same "bargain" price I will come back here again. But, again, the rating of the hotel is too high, do not expect something special here.
