Location

The location is very good. On the one hand, it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the airport, and on the other hand, landing planes come in to the side and you can’t hear them. By the way, free shuttle minibuses run from the territory to Naama Bay. Nobody really checks the time on the way back, so you can leave early and return at 22.

Territory

The territory is huge, so the plying open buses (tarantayki) are very helpful. Especially during the day, in the heat. The area is very green and neat. There are decorations like wooden camels and so on, but if this is not the first or second visit to Egypt, then nothing really new.

As already mentioned here, Sheraton is a complex of 3 pieces. Main is a 5 * hotel itself, which is a large building carved into the rock, all the rooms of which look at the sea and the beach. Windows are oriented to the east. Good luck. Accommodation in Main, as I understand it, is one and a half times more expensive than in the rest.

Main has its own restaurant. I was not in it, because it is only for residents of Main. Main has its own reception. This building is very beautiful, in the middle there is an open arena for animation shows. All this is done very gracefully. 5 * you feel when you see fresh flowers in the toilet, and after washing you wipe your hands with a “disposable” cloth towel. That is, he wiped his hands - threw them into the basket. No one else will wipe their hands before washing. There are also wonderful panoramic elevators in Main, which are very convenient to go down to the beach. That is, our typical morning route was from the building to the restaurant at the reception of the Resort, and from there on a tarantike to the Main, then through the air-conditioned Main to the elevators and to the beach. The only thing that is strange is that there is no air conditioning in the elevators. Therefore, in the first half of the day they are very hot. There is also Disco in Main, where animation shows and a disco are held from 23:30. Bar in Disco PAID! This is one of the few incomprehensible shortcomings of the hotel.

Resort & Villas is 4*.
There are several groups of one and two-story buildings. These groups of buildings are located at different distances from the main restaurant, which can be significant in the heat.

So. The nearest complex is Dolphin. Numbers 2xxx. Mostly Italians and British settle there. By the way, in the courtyard of Dolphin there is a bar that is open until 24:00.

Next up is Manta. 3xxx numbers. There are also Italians (as I understand it). Own pool and, it seems, a bar.

Next is Romantik, where Russian speakers are accommodated. 4xxx numbers. I lived right there. I originally wanted to get into Dolphin, but the receptionist convinced me to look at the room at Romantik. I looked and stayed in it. Big and comfortable. There is no bar near Romantik, so you have to go to Dolphin. We didn't care. We are not drinkers, but there was water in the room.

The houses in these three complexes are two-storey. From the rooms on the first floor overlooking the pool, there is access to the pool, on the second floor there is just a large balcony. Judge for yourself which is more convenient.
I would not really like on the first floor that everyone looks into the panoramic windows. By the way, there is a strong suspicion that only the pool-facing rooms are large. That is, really big and small numbers go through one.

The last complex is Barracuda, which stretches over a fairly long distance. Numbers 1xxx. The only room I went to was half the size of ours. And it didn't have a balcony.

In the attached photos there is a satellite image of the hotel, where I marked the location of some places. Please note that it is important not only in which complex you will be accommodated, but also in which part of it. So, despite the fact that Romantik on the map lies far from the restaurant, in practice we had 3-4 minutes to go to it. And from the room of our friends in Barracuda, 7-10 minutes, no less. Also note the location of the ViloraClub animation. They make a lot of noise until about 12 at night. Although, with the air conditioner turned on and the balcony closed, it hardly bothered us.
To the right of Main there is a large complex of private houses and villas. Villas, as I understand it, are the patrimony of the French.
What I didn't really like was the lighting solutions in the evening. Apparently, at one unbeautiful moment, some of the powerful street lighting lamps were changed from ordinary yellow to white daylight. This barbarity completely killed all the charm of additional highlights. In general, the lighting design there is not superb. Even when compared with Sonesta Beach, the Sheraton is somehow less successful.

There are more than 10 pools on the territory. I won’t say how many exactly. Each building has its own swimming pool. The one next to our case, we used a couple of times. On the first and last day. The rest of the time was at sea. The pool near Main is the coolest. It is 25 meters long. There are paddling pools and different depths. In addition, it is cascading, consists of two parts. This pool has a bar, but it's PAID! Actually, otherwise half of the hotel would be splashing in this pool. So the idea is clear.
Aqua aerobics is held in the same pool.
If you stand on the beach facing the Main, then 200 meters to the left there is another pool, beautifully designed in the form of a waterfall. Its feature is a depth of 3 meters in the deepest place. Divers sometimes train there, but this does not interfere with swimming. Children loved to frolic and dive in it.
I personally did not use the other pools, so I can not say anything about them.

I want to note the favorable geographical location of the hotel for the summer period. During our stay, fresh winds were constantly blowing from the sea (and slightly to the left), which greatly facilitated our existence in 40-degree heat. At the same time, our friends rested on the other side of the same bay and suffered from heat and calm. But in the season of cold winds, everything can be different.

Near the Resort reception and in the Main building there are shops selling everything you need for a holiday. Sun creams, after sun creams, etc.
quite decent, but one and a half times more expensive than in Moscow. Masks with snorkels are also sold, but I do not recommend it. Expensive and bad, frankly. Rigid silicone and an unsuccessful mask shape, an uncomfortable tube without a bend to the mouthpiece. So to speak. Measure and rate. If the mask normally and without problems sticks to the face and at the same time you can breathe, take it. For the wife, for example, because of the nasolabial fold, the mask did not fit completely and let water through because of this. This mask was simply uncomfortable for me (too small and too hard). Bought a year ago in Sonesta is much more convenient (and half the price, by the way)

Number

The hotel rooms are very different. About ours (4125) I will say that it was good. Large. An extra bed for a child was 7-8 meters from our bed, which is much better than when a child sniffs almost in your ear. Second floor, pool view, panoramic balcony door - it's a window. Everything is so blue and white, pretty.
The air conditioner blew right between our bed and the child's bed. The grille of the air conditioner looks like a cast, but in fact you can turn the guides with your fingers, both horizontally and vertically, achieving such a flow of air so as not to freeze anyone.

Stand-up shower, sink, toilet, bidet, hair dryer. Everything worked properly. Towels were changed every day, drinking water too, soap accessories in vials were added once, after asking at the reception. I think this is a school of specific cleaners, because our friends were added every day. Twice in 10 days we were caught by the building manager and asked if everything was OK. The first time I complained about the creaking of the toilet door. Repaired on the same day. The second time I quarreled with the air conditioner, when it completely stopped cooling. Everything was fixed the same day.

The extra bed was first brought obviously bad. Somehow she didn't fit in.

I said that I was not satisfied, after which the Arab drove the manager, to whom I stated the essence of the claim. Listened to me and got a visual demonstration, the manager said, OK, we will bring another bed, but we will have to wait half an hour. I agreed. The second bed brought was quite good. The design was something to complain about, but functionally everything was superb.
There was a fridge in the room. Empty. It was possible to fill, but for the money. Unfortunately, there was no safe. Only the safe box at the reception. Everything is civil there, with two keys, a signature on the card each time, etc.

The phone in the receiver hissed very loudly. Used once. It was too lazy to swear. There was also Wi-Fi in the room. But I didn't get to deal with it. The PDA sat down, and the Chinese power supply to it broke down safely.

There was a TV, it worked fine, ORT and RTR planet - everything is standard for Egypt.

In general, everything was fine with the room.
Cleaning was done with the same quality, regardless of the tips left. Although when I didn't leave them for 3 days in a row, on the fourth day the cleaner laid out the children's things on the bed in a funny (beautiful) way. As a result, the reward was left again.
Universal advice about the room - demand "to look. " Everything is very individual.

Service

No complaints about the staff. Almost. The only complaint is the dumbest Arabic sense of humor. A typical joke - in response to a request for a cappuccino, the answer is that the machine has broken down. Everyone is polite, friendly and helpful. Once left a child's cap by the pool. Came in the evening - no cap. I went to the pool keeper, explained to him what was the matter, it turned out that he picked up the cap during cleaning. Of course, I took it out of the package and gave it back for "thank you". I gave him a dollar for it. Good deeds should be encouraged.
Another strange thing for the Egyptians. They do not take baksheesh upon check-in.
I just forgot to invest in my passport out of fatigue, and our friends were politely returned the money. Wow, how!

An unpleasant feature is that if you check in before or during lunch, then on the day of departure you are no longer entitled to lunch. Checkout at 12:00. When you hand in your keys, you may be required to hand over your AI wristband. For some reason they didn't ask us. And with our friends, yes. It is very sad to sit without food until 7-8 pm waiting for the bus to the plane. What tricks can there be? I gave number one. That is, the wife and child were in a different place at that time. So it would not have been possible to remove the bracelet from them (by the way, bracelets are not allowed for children). Our friends (who visited in the evening) left us their bracelets just in case. This feature slightly overshadowed our last day at the hotel. Somehow tense.
In short, if you remove the muck with the last day, then the service for Egypt is very good.
Russians are loved no less than others, the order at the bar is understood in Russian, problems in the room are corrected promptly. Everything is great.

Sport

I won’t say anything about sports, except that there is an outdoor tennis court. Even two. The idea to play tennis in the sun, when it's +40 in the shade, never occurred to me. Everything else for me was on the beach with animators.

Nutrition

The most interesting topic for many. What can I say. For Egypt - very good. Some of it can be seen in the attached pictures. The choice seems to be small, but somehow everything is there. For 11 days I did not get tired. The breakfast was just boring.
Almost every day watermelons, melon. In the heat, watermelon is just some kind of holiday. But I advise you to eat carefully. The watermelons are clearly from the fridge. It turns out like hot ice cream. The throat can easily catch a cold. Grapefruit, orange - ripe. If something is over - after 5 minutes they bring a new tray.
During dinner, I saw how watermelons were served 3-4 times. Watermelons and melons are not always ideal. But even so, when you buy at a collapse, it doesn’t work out well every time.
There was practically no seafood. Is that fried fish or soup.

You can order lunch directly at the bar on the beach. To do this, before 10:00 you need to go to this bar and make an order for a certain time. There is no choice of food. Business lunch. The menu is repeated every other week. All the last days we ate only there. Too lazy to go to a restaurant. By the way, very tasty ketchup. The jar says Heinz, but it's not true. These ketchup is poured into jars from a large canister. Whatever it is, it's delicious.

After lunch there are snacks. For french fries lovers, this is it.

Children are also given free ice cream. You need to take it at the distribution behind the beach bar. This service is not particularly advertised, but the Pegasus guide told us about it.

Beer, wine, other drinks - everything is as usual in Egypt. Beer is crap. Wine is ok.
It seems that some of “ours” did just that. The Italians didn't mind. I only played volleyball with them. Farther to the right is the French Framissima. Our women sometimes went there for their water aerobics, I saw it. Left - "Russian" part.
The beach is conditionally sandy. That is, it is a rock in which a flat space has been cut down and sprinkled on top with a thin layer of unpolished sand. Be careful in active games. The knees go astray on this sand right there. So it's better without fanaticism. But just walking on it is not a problem. Everything is fine.

Sea. In short, the best I've seen (compare with Sonesta Beach and Sea Life). The length of the shallows is 40-50 meters. If you move a little away from the pontoon, from which the annoying caretaker likes to whistle, then you can safely walk along this shallow and admire the hefty beautiful fish. During high tide (I liked 8-9 am most of all) on this shallow you can safely snorkel without fear of scratching your knees on corals.
Special footwear is a must. Of course, it is sold there (as well as masks with tubes). With a mask on the shallows - super. All the same fish as at depth, only literally in front of your nose. In general, such that fish 30 centimeters long swim 1 meter from the shore at a depth just above the ankle - this must still be looked for.

There is an entry from the pontoon. Meters 40-50. Not a problem. There is depth right away, but in order to drown in the Red Sea, you need to somehow make a special effort, because the body pushes you to the surface even when you exhale. With a mask - the same fish. It could have been more, but it's okay. There you have to look for a long time and closer to the sheer coral. The picture changes all the time. Completely different species swim out of the shadows, sometimes you can meet huge Napoleon fish. They say there are stingrays in the evenings, but I didn't see them. If you swim too close to the coral, the caretaker will blow his whistle and chase you away. Such work.
Indeed, you can get carried away and run into corals with a wave, which is fraught with injuries.

There are three bars on the beach, by the way. So you won't die of thirst. Plain water there must be taken directly from the coolers standing next to the bar. One of the bars is right on the beach. It offers a wonderful view of the sea. There are almost always places.
In short, the sea and the beach are credits. Who goes for the first time - in general it is the most. The beauty!

Animation

Animation is the weak point of this hotel. Evening shows - C grade. Beach activities are better. But the main events are held in the sun in the heat. Who wants to participate in this? 15 minutes of futsal at 40 degrees in the shade - and it feels like your head is about to explode. Quickly under the shower and in the pool for 10-20 minutes.
Water gymnastics is another matter. Fun, cool. And the wife had fun, and once even I myself. And what? It turned out nice.

The guys clearly lack the power of the voice.
Personally, I have a warm spiritual relationship with everyone.

Hours after 5 pm international animation finishes work (until the evening show), so there is nothing fun on the beach. But I got into the habit of going to the Italians to play volleyball. They are okay with this. Of course, if you are a normal, adequate, polite person. And then there were our shots ...We play football with the Italians, so it feels like the last cow. They get angry, swear… I understand that “Russia-Italy” and all that, but this is a beach, recreation, entertainment… Relax, guys…

In the evening at 10 o'clock in the main building - show of animators. Everything is as usual. "Miss Sheraton", "Mr. Sheraton", "Best Couple" ...The level is very average. ViloraClub has its own playground next to Dolphin and Romantik. It's more fun, more incendiary ...But, only in Italian.

In short, if you want to play games and take part in other entertainment, you will have to show a little attention and will to understand and see when everything starts. And then everything will be OK.

Children

I won't say much about children. On the territory of ViloraClub there is an excellent fenced playground. But she's in the sun. Judge for yourself. Next to it is a house, where, apparently, a mini-club. But I still don’t understand if Russians are allowed there. Our beauties once climbed there for a short time. Looks like no one was running. In the course of the rest, I saw how the animator Olga walked with a flock of kids, so there is definitely some sort of babysitting. But what exactly, I don't know. My son refuses mini-clubs abruptly, so we didn't need it. I found a friend on the beach - and those parents and I almost forgot about them, especially since both are quite good at swimming. The only thing, just in case, was accompanied to the pool. That's how it's supposed to be.

Additionally.
Pay attention to your insurance. As it turned out, it is very different. Substantially different. For example, when we went to Sea Life, the insurance included acute respiratory infections, sore throats, any injuries, and in addition, the services of a hotel doctor. There are no words for how useful this was. This time it was much worse. The set of insured events is very meager, for calling a doctor (under insurance) you would have to pay a $30 deductible, and a hotel doctor is not included in the price at all (one visit is $50). Thank God there were no incidents.

Special thanks to Chiptrip, who encouraged us to go on vacation with his amazingly democratic proposals. But I want to warn everyone that all documents must be checked very carefully, to the letter and number. We had an error in the dates during checkout. It's good that I noticed. The guys have a huge flow of clients, so the operational risks are very high. I also advise you to work with them through the collateral system.

When a suitable profitable offer appears, it is much easier and more reliable to just write an e-mail and book a tour than to go to the office, stand in a queue for many hours and lose your luck as a result. The deposit is paid, by the way, without waiting in line. Conveniently. Please note that cheap tours are obtained when you order exactly as in the ad. A step to the left, a step to the right is already more expensive. For example, in our case, I pecked at a real chip offer, and the result was just very inexpensive.

The tour operator was Pegasus. No questions for Pegasus. Everything is clear and on time. Hotel guide Yana - well done. Sells excursions professionally. Wife (salesperson) appreciated. The hotel also speaks clearly and exhaustively. A detailed map has been issued. Well done, in short.

So. All the pleasure cost us 4.000 rubles for 10 nights, two adults and a child of 8 years old. The price for such a holiday is great. The hotel is well worth the money.
