Oh, probably, this review of mine will not be the best, although the rest was excellent. But we're talking about a hotel here, so. . .
I chose the hotel for so long and, as it seemed to me, carefully, that I overdid it))) Also in his favor was the argument that in November 2010 my mother rested in it and was delighted. But for three years the hotel is very "tired"... So much that is written and not very pleasant to read is true.
It can be seen that the hotel has not been renovated for a very long time, that all the furniture is old, beaten off and shabby in places. Rugs, pillows on chairs, deck chairs, etc. - they just really ask them to send them to a well-deserved rest!... : )
Upon check-in, there were problems with the shower, later with a sliding door to the terrace - everything is fixed quickly, by calling the reception.

The lack of replenished drinking water in the room and instant juices, when reading the reviews, seemed like a trifle to me. In fact, a couple of times they became an unpleasant inconvenience. Before that, in the Egyptian hotels I visited, water was either replenished daily, or in the corridor, next to the room, there was a cooler, from which you could draw water at any time. As for Shores' yuppies, it's not juice, of course. . . but you could drink it. However, a couple of times there was an inconvenience in the form of a terrible undissolved sediment, and the other time it was too diluted, tasteless and watery.
Here I want to move smoothly to the topic of food, because the word "tasteless" immediately reminded me of it. Unfortunately it is so. In many Egyptian hotels, the food is almost the same. So here. It seems like a lot of everything, but nothing particularly tasty. Desserts, in general, differ only in appearance and color, rarely in taste. One time I went for a refill - it was battered fish and fried potatoes! It really was delicious! : )
You certainly won't leave hungry! But don't be afraid to get better! Many people told me that I lost weight after the holidays, although this is contraindicated for me - and so thin))
In the end, we were very tired of hotel food. And during the rest sometimes dined in the city. Same fast food. And purposefully visited Fares (a sensational local restaurant with various marine reptiles, for those who are not in the know) in El Mercato. Very tasty, but not everything!... ; )
In general, every evening, from about 17 to 19, we spent either in El Mercato, or in Naama Bay, or in the Old Town. There was nothing to do in the hotel at that time - it was getting dark early; lunch was over - dinner has not yet begun! : ) Almost every evening we sat there in hookahs. They cost $ 1-2 there (in the hotel - $ 5) and free Wi-Fi for joy, in the absence of it in the hotel.
As for alcohol. . . There is none! ) At most, after drinking a cocktail, you will feel a slight weakness in your legs for five minutes and then you will immediately forget that you drank at all. From beer... , sorry, but I just want to piss! ))) In general, we didn’t want alcohol on vacation at all. And everything bought in different Deutiks came to the home bar.
A little about excursions. Our Pegasus held a meeting and distributed prices. Well, while we were still at home, we read information, reviews on the Internet, looked at sites and picked up a couple of agencies in the city. Therefore, we went there and bought excursions to "Gene and Cheburashka".

We took Israel for one day (in my opinion $90 per person) and quad biking in the desert ($18 per person, each on his own quadric).
By the way, Pegasus left Israel for only two days, at a price of $220 per person. Motivated by the fact that crossing the border at night is prohibited and impossible.
But we passed it at night and very quickly! It is good that officer operators do not drive at night now! ))
But! If you go to Israel for the first time, then from the so-called street agencies, you will feel a certain inconvenience (like crossing the border on your own and not knowing some of the features. From the agency, a person passes the border with you, who explains everything to you everywhere. Plus, he accompanies you all the way. Right there, we often traveled from place to place only with a driver, and the guide was waiting for us already at the destination. The second time - it was not inconvenient for me, I already knew what and how. But if it was my first trip... I think I would have remained bewildered.
Animation. She is still there! But no one wants to "help" them, that is. to participate in what they offer! ) So the guys are puffing up, because they get a scolding from the authorities!... But here already - who wants to, he is active, who is not - then he writes that there was no animation. You probably expect that Russian pop stars will entertain you for this money? )))
Evening shows, like everywhere else, are standard. For the first time, great. More than the second - boring.
With discos, yes - persistent. But some are worth attention - for example, disco in the desert. We can't find it! We wanted to, but we didn’t get - the dream broke! ))
For those who are worried about knowing languages other than Russian - don't worry! In this hotel, only the lazy one does not speak Russian at a sufficient minimum! : ) And at the reception as well. If anything, there is Tatyana (guest relations).

The contingent of the hotel is of different ages. During our stay, there were mostly Russians, Ukrainians and Balts, because the rest of the countries had just begun to open entry to Egypt, and the same Italians could be counted on the fingers.
So sometimes there was a feeling that we were on the Black Sea coast, and not in a foreign country))
The hotel is not bad and for those who travel for the first time, a good trial option. Well, those who have already seen a lot in Egypt, I think, not here... There will be many comparisons and not in favor of Shores...
However, my review, as usual, will end with the words that everything depends only on you and your mood for relaxation. Look for more positive and less and take a picture of rust under the sink and you will be happy! )))
