We rested with teenage children 10 and 14 years old in the first half of June. We chose a more or less budget hotel, and it was in this part of Sharm (Ras Um El Sid, closer to the old city) on the first line - this ultimately determined our choice.
The hotel is loyal to tourists from Coral (we were just that):
1) upon check-out, bracelets are not cut off and you can use ALL until you leave the hotel (regardless of whether you extended your room or not);
2) with an early departure of a large number of tourists, a restaurant is opened for an early breakfast;
3) in case of a late arrival, a late dinner is served in the hotel restaurant (for a large arrival) or served in the room. We had a big race - normally fed from the road.
When choosing a hotel, I read reviews and identified for myself several "problem" points for this hotel.
It turned out the following:
1. Bad/old numbers.

In reality, everything is not so scary. Yes - the furniture is old, but about the same in most inexpensive hotels in Sharm and even in some more expensive ones (we took 2 nights in Albatros Aqua Blue 4 * - we were settled in a completely similar room without renovation). So you have to accept this as a given. Our room had problems with old doors (creaking, the front door did not open well), a shower cabin without a tray and completely unsightly old curtains on the windows. About curtains / curtains, by the way, many write here - it spoils the view and impression very much. At first it was a bit distant, but very quickly we stopped noticing the shortcomings of the room. Everything was working, the air conditioner was not noisy (lucky! because there were also a lot of complaints), the cleaning was normal, juices / waffles / water were added to the refrigerator every day. And I highly recommend that you look at the hotel map in advance and write your "Wishlist" for accommodation to the hotel's customer service. If possible, wishes are fulfilled (we were placed exactly where we asked).
Below I will write a brief review / recommendations / comments on placement.
2. Another problematic point is discrimination against Russian speakers.
Here, too, everything is not so scary. There is still discrimination, but we didn’t really feel it ourselves: in a restaurant they put less portioned meat - but ask with a smile, and they will add more; in the bar, children are given plastic glasses - somehow I didn’t bother about this. For myself, it was not a problem to get a cocktail in glass (a smile + a couple of learned words in Arabic). Serving Italians out of turn - I watched it myself several times, but almost always it was on the conscience of the Italian tourists themselves, who impudently ignored the queue and turned directly to the bartenders.
3. Queues everywhere and the problem of finding a table in a restaurant.
We were strained only by the permanent queue at the bar on the beach. On the beach with such a load, an additional point is needed! About the queues at the restaurant - everything is very ambiguous. Once arriving for dinner a little early, it was not pleasant to watch a crowd of tourists just rushing to the restaurant at the very beginning. As a result - instant queues in the restaurant for almost all dishes and the complete absence of free tables. BUT there is a simple solution - come 40-60 minutes after the start of lunch / dinner! At this time, it was never a problem for us to find a free table and we did not have to stand in lines for a long time.
4. Complaints about rude/rude staff.
I've read reviews like this, but we haven't experienced it ourselves. Everything could be solved with a simple request and a smile. If everyone "should" everyone and ask for something not camille at all. . . probably this hotel will not be very comfortable. And yes, discrimination is felt here (see the previous paragraph), but it is not critical and everything is solved.
Undoubted advantages of the hotel:
1. Nutrition.

Always a great choice, all dishes are constantly updated, themed days. Diversity has always been nice. Of the disappointments on this point, I will note absolutely "no" pizza for our taste (Italian chef in the hotel! ). A la carte restaurants also made a pleasant change.
2. Beautiful green area.
Here I will say a few words about the beach. It is multi-level, there is no sandy entry into the sea, but there is a place for children to splash +/- up to their waists. Complaints about the lack of sun loungers are strange to me, because. I always found a free sunbed, coming to the beach quite late. Yes, it is not near the water itself, yes, not always exactly where you wanted. But here, who gets up earlier... In the lagoon with a sandbank and an entry to the pontoon, the sunbeds are crowded and used in the first place, but it was much more pleasant for me to lie on the upper level: the breeze blows nicely, it’s not hot and there is a beautiful view of the sea! I consider the stairs on the beach not a problem for adults, but with small children - you need to think carefully.
And in early June, we were not stuffy here because of the very frequent breeze by the sea. The wind is not like in Nabq, but the flag was almost always yellow and there were currents at times.
3. Good location relative to the old town and Il Mercato, transfers to Naama Bay.
4. The hotel is focused on Europeans. The main contingent is Russian-speaking and Italians. The end of Ramadan and the celebration of Uraza-Bayram just happened to be on our vacation. Even in this very "Muslim" period for all hotels, there were very few Muslim guests here - mostly from "secular" Turkey. The occupancy of the hotel is always quite high, so the "influx" of guests is not particularly felt.
Before the trip, I assumed that the plus of the hotel would also be super animation, but in fact I won’t say this. Animation usual: evening shows as everywhere else, exercises, yoga, etc. - as usual. Nothing more than that. My teenage kids missed periods of water polo and activities in their age group. I don't know about the "completely childish" animation.
ABOUT ROOM CHOICE.
See the hotel map and determine your priorities. In doing so, keep the following in mind:

The pool in zone 1 (No. 15 on the map) is the most "dead" one, because no bar.
The pool in zone 2 (#16 on the map) is very lively and popular, with a bar and a towel service. If your room overlooks this part, then it will always be noisy during the day. If this does not scare you and the child loves pools, then it will be convenient to settle in this area on the ground floor so that you can immediately go to the pool.
Zone 3 is quite pleasant to live in, there are rooms with sea views, but some rooms overlook the amphitheater, i. e. every evening there will be a "forced" show.
Zones 4 and 5: in zone 4 even numbers - windows to the south side, odd. - to the north. In zone 5, the opposite is true. Here, the first floor has a fenced balcony (that is, it will not work to enter the territory through the balcony door). The even numbers on 4*** and 5*** go by octaves to the most walkable path of the hotel, i. e. may not be comfortable on the first floors (even numbers 41** and 51**).
Rooms 4270-4285 and 5270-5285 have a side sea view, from these rooms on Thu. 42** and Odd. 52** you can watch the sunrise (very beautiful! ). We had room 4270 - side sea view and Panorama bar, sunrise!
In rooms 411* and 421* it can be noisy in the evening from the nearby hookah bar.
Zone 7 is remote, quiet, cozy, with its own pool and bar.
Pool 27 is rather landscape (they don’t swim there), pool 26 is indicated for adults (although I also saw non-small children there).
Zone 6 overlooking the sea, but on the lower floors there is constant noise from the busiest pool 24 (with slides) and animations.
I strongly advise you to go to the Farsha cafe (by taxi no more than $ 2) - we were very impressed! It is better to go around 17-18 hours to see everything still in the sunlight, and stay there until all the evening lights are turned on.

Conclusion on the hotel - for an acceptable (relative to neighboring hotels) price, it is quite possible to go with small children - think carefully (due to the abundance of stairs and a kind of beach). Don't expect too much - it's a budget hotel, closer to a solid 4*.
We were satisfied with the rest, but next time we would rather go to a similar, but cheaper neighboring "four" Aloha.
