Review of hotel Otium Family Amphoras Beach Resort 5 * in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Rested at this hotel from 19 to 26 June. Emotions from rest are incredible. We arrived at the hotel at about 7 pm, immediately put on our bracelets and went to dinner. After dinner we spent in a room with a sea view in the 6th zone (extra charge), but it did not suit us and we moved to the 5th zone, but it is our personal wish, someone there will be the best.
Rooms: Zone 6 - closest to the main pool with slides, children's area and the beach. Number 6103 is small, at least for two of us it would not be enough. There is no balcony on the ground floor, but there is a makeshift terrace, but in fact it is an island on the lawn with two chairs and a table. It did not suit us, because we wanted a quieter holiday, and here is the epicenter of "life" in the hotel.
Number 5114 in the fifth zone. Ours was near the reception and the main restaurant. We had a view of the pool. The room has 2 beds, which we moved and got a King Size + bed.
Large wardrobe, coffee table and comfortable armchair in the room, dressing table and bedside table with mini fridge, air conditioning, TV. In the toilet, bidet (6103 does not have it), a full bath, not a shower, and a hair dryer, whitish towels wrapped in cellophane. On the cleanliness of the room: we cleaned once every two days, but again, this is our wish. If you need - will be cleaned daily and without a dollar. The furniture is a bit old, but we did not go for it and we did not care, the main thing - cleanliness and that everything was working properly. So it was. The cleaner leaves hygiene products, coffee, tea, sugar, paper cups and 1.5 liters of water. If you don't have enough, you can always ask for it - without refusing the same with water, although it can be bottled in any bar or restaurant.
Internet is available in all public areas, but in zones 4 and 5 you can catch on the balcony and sometimes in the room.
Food: very varied and delicious, thank you very much chef! For breakfast, greased omelets, scrambled eggs in any form to your liking. There were also pancakes, falafel and my favorite - feta. At lunch there were 2-3 types of side dishes to choose from, mostly potatoes, rice and pasta. Every day 2 soups to choose from and every day different. The main dishes are chicken on the grill, veal in different variations. Dinner was like lunch, but the choice was a little bigger. They made grilled tuna, chebureks, lyulya-kebab, you could order pasta to your liking. Three times there was seafood: crabs, shrimp, squid and assorted fish. There were always fresh vegetables and fruits (melons, watermelons, dates, grapefruits, oranges), several types of salads for every taste and a huge amount of pastries!
For lunch you can go to a restaurant near the beach, if you do not want to go to the main, it has a choice of reductions, but enough. Delicious pizza is served there.
You will not be able to stay hungry in this hotel - you will definitely find something to your liking.
Drinks: standard cocktails at the bars, quite good, beer is not bad either. White and red wine was poured for lunch and dinner in the main restaurant. For a dollar they can make a cocktail that is not on the menu, and it will be tastier than the main ones. Juices - Yuppie. Vending machines with a circle / fan / sprite are freely available in the main restaurant, bars can also be requested.
The staff is great, everyone is friendly, helped to solve all issues instantly.
The beach is good, clean, there are several activities, one of them more sandy - great for children. The reef is beautiful, the fish swim near the shore. The tides were three days per hour of our rest somewhere from 9 to 12 o'clock. At 13 o'clock the tide began, the water level near the shore was knee-deep. Rescuers will make sure that you do not go beyond the buoys and do not let them swim when there was a red flag.
Beads on the beach are not required, but we were more comfortable with them. Sunbeds were not borrowed, a place could always be found, there would be a desire. There are many pools, but we reached the main thing on the last day in the evening, we had enough sea. There is an outdoor shower on the beach and by the leather pool to wash away the salt water and freshen up. The water park is functioning, the man liked it.
Be sure to return to this hotel, it is definitely worth it!
