In Egypt, we rest not for the first time and only in 5 *. We rested from the middle to the end of March.
The hotel is Italian so everything has an Italian twist.
Considering that the territory of the hotel is small, everything is very compact, the buildings are close to each other and to the buildings of neighboring hotels. Therefore, when choosing a room, take into account bad places - the road behind the hotel, solid high walls and compressors of your own and neighboring restaurants. Before settling it is better to look at the room. When settling in, foreigners are given orange bracelets - this means "super all inclusive", Slavs - burgundy - the usual "all inclusive", and we can get orange ones for a surcharge.
The territory is not large, cramped, the greenery is modest, monotonous. You can take a walk, but on the second day you will recognize every bush. The hotel is old, not 5 *, but 4 * and this is largely visible, but it also costs less than 5 *.

The room is normal, by Egyptian standards. Furniture and plumbing "tired", but everything worked. Mattresses and pillows are decent. Cleaned poorly, but sheets and towels changed every day.
I advise you to bring mosquito repellent to the outlet. It was very useful for us.
The staff speaks mainly English and Italian, but Russian is understood, albeit with difficulty. The staff is friendly, responsive, chatty. Tips were not begged for, the restaurant quickly laid out the cutlery as soon as the plate was put on the table. On the beach, massages, tattoos, entertainment, other services were constantly offered, but this is their job. If you chat affably for a minute, then no one will strain anyone.
Nutrition: normal, there were no problems with digestion. Variety is minimal, cuisine with an Italian twist. I'm not a gourmet, so I didn't get bored in two weeks. Fish, chicken, beef, lamb were every day. There are enough vegetables. Fruits: all kinds of citrus fruits, apples, melons, dates, bananas. The lack of grapes and strawberries was compensated by shopping in the Old City.
Water, or rather, its absence, is a drawback of the hotel. There are coolers in the restaurant and bars, from which you can take and drink in a glass, there is no water in the room, it is not issued in bottles. Water can be bought either at the hotel or in a shop around the corner (which is more profitable). When leaving the hotel, turn right, walk about 100 meters along the road and you can immediately see a beige building with a red sign - a shop and a pharmacy. Since we used water in large quantities, we bought 7 liter bottles of 15 pounds. Water in 1.5 liter bottles costs £.5 but tastes the same as bottled water. It is better to change money in a bank - the rate is 1:6, and in stores they count at 1:5. The bank is located to the left of the main entrance. Works from 9 to 14 and except Fri and Sat.
Beach: An elevator descends to the beach, but given that there are only two floors, you can go down on foot - there are steps on both sides of the elevator.

The beach has three levels. The lower one is, as it were, in a pit, from which you can go to the pontoon and into the sea. Middle - above the bottom. To swim you need to go down the stairs to the lower beach. The upper one is the most spacious, on the same level with playgrounds, a bar, and a swimming pool. To get to the pontoon, you need to go around the middle one and go down to the lower one - only about two minutes. The sunbeds are wooden, heavy, not new for a long time, but I didn’t notice any broken ones. Free sunbeds were in large numbers only on the upper beach and at the quiet distant pools. The rest were already taken by 10 am. Towels and mattresses on the beach are not new, but "tolerably old".
Sea: one pontoon, but comfortable. There is enough space for swimming on both sides of the pontoon. Given that we were in March, the water is 21.22 degrees. Light wind and waves in the morning. There is a current, but very little. The reef is good, lots of fish. But, for my taste, it is not convenient enough for inspection and not very diverse and colorful living creatures (in Blue Bay, for example, it is better).
Animation is mainly designed for Italians. Russian girls tried very hard, worked "in good conscience. " If you want to break away from the sun lounger, you can find yourself a lot of interesting activities.
Impressions from the hotel were positive. After reading the reviews, I was prepared for the worst. The food did not disappoint, the sea is good, the Italians, who make up the main contingent, are peculiar, but not so noisy. Discomfort was created only by a group of not sober Russian vacationers, who very loudly rejoiced, then sad with all the breadth of the Russian soul and almost did not interrupt for sleep. But they didn't come for long. I can conclude that the hotel is worth the money paid. You can go, don't be afraid.
For reference: March 21 in Egypt is a holiday - Mother's Day. The weather is getting worse (like our Jewish groups). Three days before and a couple of days after a strong wind, dense clouds, cool.
