Already according to an established tradition, at the beginning of summer we went to Egypt. Every year we alternate between Turkey and Egypt. The Sonesta in the pictures seemed to us a very cozy hotel, we read the reviews, there seemed to be a lot of positive ones. In real life, things were not so rosy. Let's start with the fact that Anex delayed the flight, we arrived at the hotel very tired and angry. We were seated at the reception immediately. No one ordered dinner for us (this is the guide's fault). They didn’t have time to consider the room in the evening, breakfast was overslept in the morning, since the room was almost pitch dark. And it was just not in the thick curtains, but in the absence of full-fledged windows. Instead of a window in the room, glass with mosaics and a door that opens onto a balcony. The room is small, if you need an extra bed, it will stand on your head. Children make a bed in a recess in the wall. The furniture is prehistoric. The cabinet does not close, as the door is slanted, drawers are pulled out of the bedside tables with difficulty. And also the color of the furniture is dirty green. Housekeeping is disgraceful, bed linen was changed once after our complaint. The cleaner just came and wiped the relatively clean floor with a dirty rag, after which it was disgusting to walk barefoot. Tipping didn't help the situation. At the end of the holiday they hung a sign asking "do not disturb". The grounds of the hotel, in contrast to the rooms, are simply beautiful. Clean, tidy, lots of greenery, pools and paths everywhere, neat bushes. The territory of Sonesta Beach also turned out to be very beautiful. We liked walking around the hotel in the evening, sitting in the twilight at the pool bar. The food at the hotel is mediocre. That is, there is a lot of food, but I always wanted to eat the same thing: scrambled eggs, pastries with coffee for breakfast, thin soup, french fries and chicken for lunch, meat, rice and cake for dinner. Fruit was sliced and weathered. We heard about poisoning from other vacationers on the beach, so we tried to be careful with fresh vegetables and fruits. We ended up buying fruits and juice packs from the supermarket to the right of the hotel and never experienced diarrhea. They brought alcohol with them. The hotel drank beer and soda on the beach and in bars. Only instant coffee, Lipton tea, yuppie juices. Didn't like the beach at the hotel. It is very small for so many people. I can't imagine how tourists fit in there when both hotels are full. I forgot to write that Sonesta Club beach across the road to the right in Sonesta Beach. For those who travel with children, the shallow sea is very suitable. For coral lovers there is a small reef and a pontoon to snorkel. Particularly beautiful marine specimens were not seen. Before that, they rested in El Faraan and Coral Beach Tirana, where the reefs were noble. On foot in the evening we went to Hollywood, a very interesting place, I liked it there. We went to Naama Bay once. It is better to stomp there along the road along the sea, there are fewer merchants and the views are beautiful. We went on excursions to Jerusalem and Abu Galum, both tours were taken by phone in Red Sea Travel. They were advised to us at the agency where we bought a tour to Sonesta. The quality turned out to be at the level, the guides liked it very much, they spoke Russian well and knew the material. The animation in the hotel was lazy and primitive, it didn't make sense to waste time. We will not return to Sonesta, the hotel is too old.
