Do not listen to anyone and go boldly to Tiran Island - a solid 4!
They took in a hurry 4 "burning" ones ($375 for one). We read in detail the reviews on this and another site after we had already bought tickets. The wife was very upset after reading a lot of negative comments. They even wanted to change the hotel the next day, but it would have cost about $400. Settled again. We flew in the hope that in fact it would be better. As it was, judge for yourself, "in hot pursuit", so to speak. I will write in detail to remove all questions. Were from July 1 to July 7.2015. Two couples: my wife and I and my daughter and husband (they are 24 years old). Tour operator "Biblio Globus".

SETTLEMENT and EVICTION
We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 local time. Check-in at 14.00 (-1 hour from Moscow time). We filled out questionnaires, put bracelets on our hands, and we went to dinner. Upon our return, we were immediately settled (it was 13.45).

The children were accommodated without money in a room on the third floor (No. 1263) with a view of the airport and the desert with mountains (planes constantly take off and land in the distance in the evening - they even liked the view). My wife and I for $ 60 - in a room also on the third floor overlooking the central pool and the sea in the distance. I was even offered two rooms with a sea view to choose from. I looked and chose #1201. Yes, at the reception, the guys work for themselves in this matter - a fact. But if you don't want to, don't pay. But there is no guarantee, then, that they will not settle on the first floor. This is the most undesirable option, because the second exit from the room is straight from the balcony to the street. In the evening, walking around the territory can see what is happening in the room if the lights are on and the curtains are not drawn. But, I think, you can ask culturally and without money and scandals they will give you some other one, albeit without an interesting view, but on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
I'll get ahead of myself and say a few words about leaving the hotel.
We had a plane to our homeland at 12.00. The bus was served by 9.00. At 8 am we had breakfast and packed our things. I didn't have to wait for someone to come and check the rooms, which was nice. We just went down to the reception at 8.45 with suitcases (it was possible to hire a porter for $ 1), gave two room key cards, two cards for towels, they cut off our "handcuffs" and at 9.00 we got on the bus.

Conclusion: no overlays, everything is clear on time, they settled in the rooms that they asked for.

ROOMS
All rooms in the hotel, as we understand it, are standard and almost the same, depending on the number of beds. We had two doubles with the children - identical. Comfortable enough. The furniture is wooden, dark in color, rough in design, but with a local flavor, in a word - normal. There is everything you need at a minimum in the room, including a safe and hangers (5-6 pieces). Only the hair dryer in the bathroom did not work (but this is a common problem and this has often happened to us in different countries and different hotels, even in Europe).
The wife, as an experienced traveler, prudently used her personal. The day before departure, the TV broke down and was replaced with one that worked for an hour. The room itself was clean upon check-in (for children too), in the bathroom there were 5 towels (also clean). For $ 1 - one cleaning, you can clean the room at least every day. We did not do this because we were not pigs, and besides, we did not want someone to enter the room without us. There is a safe in the closet and I recommend putting all valuables and money there. There have been cases, they say. In short, do not be a sucker and do not clap your ears and everything will be fine. The view from the room, I repeat, pleased all the days of my stay. One minus in the room - the bed creaked; )).

Conclusion: no frills, but soundly, neatly, with the minimum necessary availability of everything you need.

TERRITORY
The territory is its own, not a checkpoint. The hotel is three-story, large enough, cozy, nice, clean.
The territory is well-groomed, there is no garbage, a lot of greenery, everything is neatly trimmed, watered, illuminated in the evenings, etc.
The central pool is large enough for several dozen people to relax in it without interfering with each other at the same time. There is also a small children's pool - in another place of the territory. Animators and other entertainers are entertaining by the pool. Local non-intrusive "breds" for spas, massages, tattoos, photos, excursions, etc. There were always enough sun loungers, no matter what time they came. The pool bar normally and quickly pour all sorts of drinks. Bottled beer, open in front of you - normal. There are no restrictions on the number of pouring alcohol (any) or soft drinks - at least get drunk.
The hotel has two restaurants (Italian and Indian) - not impressed, trite.
There is also a cafe in the courtyard of the hotel, where they also pour and make a disgusting hookah - one of the few minuses.
There are several shops in the hotel: leather bags and the like; oils and creams; silver and bijouterie (bought some interesting things for my wife); souvenirs, cigarettes and drinking water here; everything for the sea and all sorts of cheap T-shirts and shorts; teas, spices and the like.
In the evening (from 10 p. m. to 11 p. m. ) in the amphitheater, animators, as well as invited local artists, entertain vacationers. By and large, there is nothing to do in the hotel in the evening.

Conclusion: the territory is well-groomed, green, clean, tidy, a good pool.

NUTRITION

The dining room is large, there is enough space for everyone, we have never seen queues. With the amount of food (any) - there are no problems - everything was enough for everyone. We arrived about 30-60 minutes after the dining room opening time. Always a great selection of all greens and vegetables. A variety of bakery products (minus - no rye bread). Delicious rice, fish (both fried sea and battered).
Pasta is always with sauce, and you have to ask not to mix it, but it tastes better this way. More or less decent - boiled meat, fried chicken, meat rolls, fish cakes, beef stroganoff. Portion dishes are small, but you can ask and give a double portion without much grimacing. Everything else that is in the public domain - at least burst from gluttony. There are many, at first glance, desserts, but they all taste almost the same and are not very tasty. Fruits - bananas, dates, sliced oranges, tangerines, apples, melon, plums. Cheese, sausage - disgusting taste. First courses suck. Drinks - badyazhnye juices (but we liked the cherry flavor), tea and coffee with milk, on a small bar in the hall - lemonade and alcohol. Almost all the food is not salted and some kind of fresh, but this is understandable - everyone has different tastes and everyone can add salt, pepper or pour some kind of sauce to their liking, since there are plenty of sauces.
Breakfast.
I usually took scrambled eggs, pancakes, boiled meat, boiled eggs, fruits, coffee with milk.
Dinner. For example: tomatoes and cucumbers, some meat or fish, some side dish (rice or mashed potatoes or pasta), stewed broccoli with vegetables, sauce, dessert, fruit, a couple of glasses of cherry juice.
Dinner. Almost the same as for lunch, only changing the main course and side dish.
The boys who clean and set the tables are courteous and efficient. The problem with drinking water is far-fetched. More than once I saw how tourists poured water from the cooler into their bottles and did it, including in front of the canteen workers. None of them has ever said that it can not be done. Moreover, there were no scandals on this topic. My wife and I bought a 7-liter eggplant in the Old City ($ 2 if I'm not mistaken) - we were more than enough. You can buy water at the hotel shop.

Conclusion: not to say that the food is very varied and tasty, but you definitely won’t stay hungry. And in general - you need to eat less!

SEA

Entrance and lifting out of the water from the pontoon by stairs with handrails like in the pool. For a long time, the people on the pontoon, especially at the platform for launching into the water, do not crowd - they swam and go out, others come in. There is no point in standing there. There was enough space for everyone, no one hit their heads. We saw and filmed even a small moray eel, not to mention the rest of the waterfowl. Emotions from the beauty of the reef are amazing, some small flaws in the service of the beach area are nonsense!

Conclusion: awesome!

STAFF:
The staff is friendly and smiling (both in the dining room and at the reception and taxi drivers and sellers in hotel shops and even gardeners, cleaners and security guards). I don't understand those who say otherwise. From how you look, if you don’t tagil yourself, from what kind of person you are in essence, who you are in life, how you know how to communicate with people, and how you present yourself, this is how others treat you.
This fully applies to how the staff treats you as well. All of them speak Russian to some extent. Everyone greets, says goodbye, asks how things are, if appropriate, enter into a dialogue if necessary, smile, treat with reverence. Especially if you pay them, for example, in hotel shops))).

Conclusion: normal, friendly staff, not boors, they speak Russian, do not offend them in word or deed and everything will be fine.

ENTERTAINMENT
Not enough entertainment in the hotel - that is what it is. And there is only an air hockey table in the yard, billiards in the same place and also in the lobby (paid). Just like the spa. There is a tiny fitness room (there are a couple of cardio and a couple of simple power simulators). An amphitheater where animators entertain in the evenings. Dance floors nearby indoor and outdoor, but there were no discos during our days of stay. That, in fact, is all.

But you can leave the hotel: necessarily - Soho square 4 km, by taxi 10 minutes ($ 10 round trip). A very bright shopping and entertainment place with restaurants, cafes, all kinds of shops, fountains, statues, children's attractions, a large cafe with a stage and artists ...In short, you will not regret it. It is here that the right hookahs are made - for connoisseurs. Naama Bay is almost the same. You can also go to the Old Town - about 20 minutes by car ($ 10 by taxi), or by minibus. Here you can wander through the malls and fend off the hospitality of local merchants, buy something, sit in a cafe. You can go with the animators to a disco in the city (I don’t remember how much it costs, but not expensive). I do not recommend the Taj Mahal dance club - stuffy, smoky and not impressed. Drinks are body fat. But Hard Rock Cafe - the most famous and sensational disco in Sharm El Sheikh - will come off in full, besides, there are about 40% of foreigners here.
Well, there is still a lot of all kinds of excursions and entertainment for the money that the hotel representative of the tour operator will offer you, as well as some personalities on the beach: from rides in the desert on buggies and ATVs, a speedboat at sea, on a yacht with a transparent bottom, fishing, diving, including near the island of Tiran, etc. , before a trip to the pyramids in Giza, a trip to Cairo or Israel to Jerusalem, to the Wailing Wall and to the Dead Sea.

Conclusion: there is little entertainment in the hotel, but if you wish, there is where to have fun in the evening in the city, and during the day you can buy any of the many excursions.

THUS:
All four of us are not newbies in tourism, we love comfort, but we don’t spread our fingers like a fan, we don’t find fault with trifles, we can close our eyes to something. The main thing in the rest is a good mood, positive emotions and a positive attitude to everything. All four of us (both youth and adults), in general, liked everything - the hotel and the rest for a solid four. The sea is great!
Little things do not count, you can find fault with anything if you wish. I don’t presume to say, maybe we were lucky, because if we are not mistaken, then for a couple of days of our stay at the hotel there was some kind of their management with a check. Maybe that's why all the staff "rustled" and "bowed. " Maybe because they were settled and evicted at the "correct" time. Maybe because they bought water for themselves, and did not fight for it in the dining room. Maybe because we do not look and are not cattle. Maybe for some other reason. But, I repeat, most likely, our friendly attitude and mood - was the key to our good rest! What do you all wish!
