We rested in Tirana from 16.09 to 30.09 2009. family with a 4-year-old child.
We chose the hotel ourselves, the second line did not bother us at all, we read a lot of good reviews on the Ukrainian site. The hotel is new, everything is clean and beautiful. We bought a tour 5 days before departure - the price was a pleasant surprise.

At the AIRPORT, upon arrival, they filled out medical cards, paid for visas, went with them to the tour operator's stand, where they pasted the visas and issued migration cards.
We got to the hotel pretty quickly, although it was 4th on the list.

When checking in, they invested $ 10 in the passport, they gave us a room on the 2nd floor with a sea view (No. 2143). The room has a large (180 cm wide) bed and an additional 1.5 bed (not a folding bed) for a child. There is no water in the mini-bar, we knew about it, and in order to brush our teeth we bought a 1.5-liter bottle of water at the bar for $ 3, then filled it on the beach - poured it from glasses. Bottles cannot be filled from coolers.

BEACH-SECOND LINE: the distance to the sea is overcome on foot with a child in 7 minutes.
By bus (constantly running from 8 am until sunset) in 2 minutes. Bar, shower, toilet are present. They came to the beach at about 7-30, they did not experience problems with sunbeds. On the beach, animators conduct "warm-up-gymnastics" and Bocha and Darts games.

And now the most important thing, in fact, why they came - the SEA!
It is magnificent, the reef is beautiful, there are a lot of living creatures!
Not snorkeling is a crime!
Those who went to Ras Mohammed said that they had wasted their money and did not see anything new. I was there 7 years ago and I can honestly say that the house reef is better.
By the way, Tirana beach has an excellent location - there is no wind blower, as in hotels on the left - Coral Beach Montazah, etc. the sea is somehow restless there, they even saw a red flag on their pontoon.

PONTON Tirana is small, there is no entry from the shore. Yes, he is not needed, those who do not know how to swim buy vests - armlets and swim.
Even our daughter, who turned 4 in June, swam beautifully in armlets with a mask - enjoying the beauties of the underwater world. DO NOT walk along the coral from the shore, there are a lot of hedgehogs and beach workers constantly swear at stupid vacationers trying to flounder in shallow water.

FOOD did not leave any special impressions, they were never hungry, but they did not experience admiration either (probably, they were spoiled in Turkish resorts).
The food is always fresh, edible for children, with the exception of cutlets - they are spicy, broths must be tried, sometimes too salty. There were not many children, but even one-year-old children ate from the table. Desserts are wonderful.

SERVICE is good, the waiters are always happy to communicate with you, knowledge of English is welcome.

We chose the most smiling and friendly waiter to us and gave him $ 1 at dinner and sometimes at lunch - we met him like relatives, brought drinks with lightning speed and then brought him only after catching a look. (Rum-cola in a restaurant and in a bar is “heaven and earth”, it is disgusting to drink in a bar and there is some kind of canoe smell). He didn’t even let him pour tea and coffee himself, he took away cups, said “sit down” and EVERYTHING himself. He rushed everywhere with our child, and helped her choose desserts and milk for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and simply entertained her in every possible way, although they had a lot of work - he managed to do everything.

CLEANING in the room every day, left a tip - sometimes swans were twisted from a blanket and towels.

EVENING ANIMATION at 9 o'clock for children mini-disco (the repertoire is the same as in Turkey), and at 10 pm a show for adults, we are not amateurs - we rarely went.
I can’t say anything about daytime animation by the pool, we were at the sea in the morning, and slept in the afternoon.
The guests of the hotel are mainly from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and only a few people saw Poles and Italians. Ramadan fell on our arrival, Arab families came.

IMPRESSIONS from the hotel are only the most pleasant, in many ways your vacation depends on you, smile at people, communicate with them (even if you do not speak foreign languages, they will understand you by intonation). Learn a few phrases in Arabic and you will see how pleased they are to hear it from you. Respect people for their work and desire to make your vacation comfortable!

We wish you all a great holiday in Tirana!
