Yesterday arrived from this hotel.

Let's start in order:

When we checked in, they told us for about an hour at the reception that there were no free rooms, in the end they said that they give a good room on the second floor, but it turned out to be on the third =) By the way, the room turned out to be good, the conder-refrigerator-TV worked properly, although the safe was originally was broken, an engineer was called, who within 15 minutes resolved this issue by replacing the safe (I suspect that he twisted it from some neighboring room and slipped our broken one there). The windows overlooked the mini-pool, the road and the sea, in principle, everything is quiet and calm. In the future, the room did not cause any complaints, but the sediment from the fact that we were still deceived with the floor still remained.

Restaurant / bars / food: Back in the travel agency in Kyiv, we were told that the food there was not so hot, but I did not attach much importance to this, and as it turned out, in vain. The food was not something that was not so hot, it was practically non-existent.
Several varieties of eggs and the same fruits in different combinations, some pastries and sweets, but no meat for you (sometimes there was chicken for dinner) and most importantly - every day 90% the same, regardless of breakfast it, lunch or dinner. Even we, who consider ourselves unpretentious tourists, got tired of the diet on the third day, and if you are a gourmet and love gourmet food, then bypass this hotel =). To the credit of the cook and the hotel kitchen, we can say that during the rest, none of our company was poisoned by anything (which is a rarity, those who traveled to Egypt will understand me), but by and large there was nothing to poison with =). Alcohol - the impression that everything is diluted with water, despite the fact that we opened sealed bottles and poured from them. Once I hurt my leg, I decided to cauterize the whiskey wound - there were no sensations, from which it was concluded that there was simply no alcohol in their alcohol.
So if you want to celebrate something in this hotel or just have a good drink - take alcohol with you or stock up in duty free =). Bars at the hotel and on the beach open at 11 and close at 23. First of all, the British and other bourgeois with red bracelets are poured, and the Russian-speaking / Czechs / Poles - in the second. And even tips do not help, despite the fact that our people leave them, and the same Germans and British do not, in any case, I have never seen this.

Territory / beach: the hotel area is small, the hotel is on the second line. But basically green and clean. I don’t recommend walking around the hotel, it’s boring, it’s better to walk outside. To the beach - 700 meters on foot or if you are too lazy to go, then a free bus runs. The description says that he rides every 15 minutes, but in fact he rides according to an unknown schedule, so we preferred not to waste time waiting and walk.

There is a really amazing reef on the beach, beautiful fish, you don’t have to take an excursion to Tiran Island, which promises an acquaintance with the inhabitants of the Red Sea, the fish in the waters near the hotel’s beach are much cooler, there are more of them and you don’t have to swim far to see them. The reef is the main attraction of this hotel, which more than covers many of its shortcomings.
From the beach of the hotel you can walk along the promenade, there are many beautiful hotels and a beautiful area. In particular, I was pleased with Baron Boulevard, shops with souvenirs at affordable prices and just a beautiful area, which is really nice to walk around.

Location of the hotel: Naama Bay and the Old Market are of course far away. Next to the hotel is the Soho quarter, specially made for tourists where numerous "come and see" do not get you. A taxi in the Old Market costs 7-8 dollars, as you bargain.
But in the Old Market I was annoyed by these same “come and see”, there are few tourists in Egypt now, because the sellers in the shops simply tear apart every person they meet, and after 20 minutes I already started sending them all away in the local language =). In the Old Market there is a fish restaurant "Fares", I recommend it. The prices are reasonable, the contingent is mostly Arabs, the interface is shabby, but don't pay attention to this, the food is delicious. Near the Old Market and near the entertainment complex "Leila" there are Metro supermarkets with fixed prices, where you can stock up on water, etc.

Staff: 50 to 50. There were pissed-off individuals who were just giving themselves baksheesh without doing anything.
There were also good guys who are pleased to give this same baksheesh themselves - for example, the bartender at the Walid pool, who took Russian and Ukrainian lessons from us, the bartender on the beach Ahmed (just a sociable person) and the restaurant administrator Mohammed, who entertained us with tricks =). The cleaner also periodically pleased with elephants and crocodiles from towels and improvised means, regardless of the tip left that day.

Animation Entertainment More entertained themselves than tourists. All animators are Egyptians. I remember the animator Rush, the animator to whom we gave the nickname "Boniface" for his hairstyle (he had a mane like the lion of the same name from the cartoon) and the animator who looked like a rabbit from the cartoon about Winnie the Pooh =). In general, nothing interesting, but they didn’t act on the nerves either, for which I thank them.

Tour operator Aneks-tour: met / sent us home on time. At the hotel next.
the day we were met by a guide from Anex tour Shaheen, who told us that it was not recommended to leave the hotel due to the tense situation in the country (which turned out to be a blatant lie) and immediately tried to sell us a sightseeing tour to the center of Sharm =). For all excursions, prices are doubled - for example, the same Israel costs $ 180 per person, and on the street and even in a travel agency on the hotel's beach, the same excursion can be bought for 80-90, which we eventually did. As a result, everyone rides the same buses, and fables about insurance and "you will be deceived on the street" are all horror stories for inexperienced tourists. After we didn’t buy a single excursion from Shahin, he lost interest in us and disappeared from our eyes forever and didn’t even bother to come on the last day to hang out a piece of paper with the departure time from the hotel, I had to call the reception and find out.

Internet/Wi-Fi : Paid and expensive as hell in the hotel. An hour is about $5.
But I found a way out - there is a Baron Resort hotel on the waterfront, which emits a stable and powerful Wi-Fi). So about 20 minutes of leisurely walking with a laptop or phone to the fountains near this hotel - and you can surf the Internet until you are numb. In any case, it was enough for me to go to the Internet twice for work and just personal matters during my vacation. There is also free Wi-Fi in the Soho area (this is near the Savoy hotel), but there it is terribly slow and unstable, you can open one page for about 5 minutes, because the Baron is our everything =).

The situation in the country: naturally communicated with the locals on this topic. Hotels are 30-50% full. Tourists, according to locals, are afraid to go because of sharks and because of revolutions, but I personally have not seen the first ones, but as for revolutions and unrest, this is all in Cairo / Alexandria. Walking even in the slums of the night Sharm is much safer than at the same time of day in Troyeshchina or Borshchagovka.
And in the center of the city - everything is decorous and calm, not counting the sellers from the shops that get you out of the shops, but you can ignore them. Sharm is a city for tourists, and they value tourists very much, because we are their only income and thanks to us jobs are created and new hotels are built. In general, the Egyptians themselves are very pleased that they overthrew Mubarak and believe in changes for the better with the advent of a new government, whose elections will be held in about six months.

Duty-free: In duty-free in Sharm, prices for booze and perfumes are fair, at least in comparison with the Kyiv dutik.

Summary: It was better to overpay $ 500 and go to a hotel with a higher rank. We are generally satisfied with the holiday. If you want to go to a hotel with a stunning reef for ridiculous money, then this is the best choice for you. Cons - remoteness from Naama Bay and the Old Market and very poor food. But you won't die of hunger
