A hotel that breaks all stereotypes

Hotel ratings by criteria:
Those who need lacquered furniture, Persian carpet and silk wallpaper in the room - in no case take a ticket! However, if you are flying to Sharm El Sheikh not to hang out in the evenings near the TV in a comfortable chair, if you want a bright and active holiday and you need a room to wash, change and sleep - Rosetta is for you!
Pros:
1. The staff’s slight indifference to violations of “discipline” terribly pins, namely: this is not the first time I’m vacationing in Egypt and I don’t remember that in any hotel it was allowed to bring food and drinks from the street (you have to buy at exorbitant prices in hotel bars). In Rosetta - to your health, in my opinion, you cannot bring only a plastic bomb there, for which, by the way, even ladies' handbags are very carefully examined.

2. In eight hotels in Turkey and Egypt, it is taboo to swim in the sea and pool after sunset. In Rosetta, a modest warning hangs near the pools: ". . . we are not responsible for the health of bathers at unspecified times... " It's a terrible buzz, coming from Naama after 2 o'clock in the morning to flop into the pool with a bottle of beer!
3. Nobody looked at you with huge eyes of a paranoid goon if you want to take a couple of buns out of the cafeteria for lunch. True, you should not do it insolently, take an opaque bag or bag with you.
4. To Naama Bay (we called it the Egyptian Las Vegas) on foot approx. 15 minutes to the "Old Town", where everything is cheaper than in Naama, but nowhere to walk, 15 minutes. by taxi (red price for a taxi in the Old Market - 20 pounds !!! )
5. The hotel has a good disco, free for hotel residents, and for "strangers" 150 pounds. Nice savings : )
6. Awesome territory. Everything is in bloom, on the roofs of the upper rooms there are observation platforms from which cool pictures are obtained. Wonderful pools. Lots of back streets of green-blooming. Everything is in ladders.
7. Food - usual for an Egyptian 4 *. No worse and no better.
8. Gafi Beach has beautiful coral. DO NOT SAVE, BUY SPECIAL SLIPPERS!! ! Moreover, they are very cheap! In my opinion, you should not take excursions to about. Tiran or Ras Mohamed - the whole fauna of the Red Sea will be perfectly opened before you if you sail a little further from the place of mass swimming. By the way, you can do it on a catamaran. We took $8 for 4 people. for 1 hour. Much more economical, and even more impressions!
Minuses:
1. Room decoration. The new buildings, which are located near the reception desk, are still nothing, the old ones, which are at the top, are worse. From my company (and we were 12 people and all of the "singles") I had the best room, everyone joked that it was "suite". But even in it there were no doors in the closet, the chairs were such that it was extremely uncomfortable to sit without placing a pillow under the lower back.

Everything is painted with oil paint, peeling off in many places. "Coffee table" and "bedside tables" are ordinary boxes, knocked down from 5 boards each. The lampshades on the nightlights are stained with dirt. But all this did not bother me, because. the room was needed to wash (clean towels, soap, shampoo were updated every day), cool down, relax after the beach (the air conditioner functioned and regulated perfectly), drink cool water or beer, have a fruit snack (mini-bar worked fine), sleep (bed clean, mattress-pillows are good, the blanket is normal. By the way, I had 4 pillows and 2 blankets in the single).
There is little space in the upper rooms, there is no glass in the windows, only double wooden shutters, in many there is no balcony - only access to the common terrace from the common corridor.
2. My friend had this problem. He, having gathered in Cairo, handed over the key to the reception for the only time. The key is given without a signature. Arriving from Cairo, he found that the key was lost. After 3 days of bickering, squabbles and scandals, he, along with his guide, reached the deputy consul of Russia in Cairo. He said that the hotel is private, it is not possible to prove and do something. So my friend had to pay $27 for that damned key. For 3 days his room was open.
In general, I want to say: if you are young, energetic and are not going to suffer in your room in the evenings - Rosetta is a wonderful hotel. After all, trouble with the key could come out in any not super-sophisticated hotel!
I want to share my daily routine:
6-30 wake up, swim in the pool
7-00 breakfast
7-30 - 8-00 access to the beach (do not forget to take a one-time ticket to the reception, otherwise they will not let you on the beach, they will not give you towels)
12-00 - 16-00 (sometimes, if you're lucky) rest in the room, you can "cool down" and take a nap.
18-30 - departure from the beach
19-00 - 19-30 wash-beautify
19-30 dinner
20-00 - 20-30 - we leave the hotel. You can first go to the Old Market for shopping. Everything is cheaper there. WE ARE TRADING!!!! ! From the Old Market (if not immediately from the hotel) we head to Naama Bay. There are beautiful shops, great cafes. Definitely - cold hibiscus with ice, multi-layered cocktails from freshly prepared fruit puree, and, of course, hookah. On the way home we buy beer and water.
1-30 - 3-00 return to the hotel. You can splash into the pool with a beer. The top one is perfect for this. You can hang out at the disco, but it's not so original.
3:30 am - 5:00 am going to bed.
6-30 wake up, swim in the pool.........

I returned home with a lot of positive emotions and a terrible lack of sleep : ))) And what, I flew to Egypt to sleep???!! !
