We took a ticket to farvater, the rating of this hotel there is 8.2 out of 10, but in fact it was either cheated or the previous years went into the offset, and at the moment it is 5 out of 10, no more.
We arrived early in the morning, we were at the hotel at 7 o’clock. We didn’t count on early check-in, but, unlike previous visits to Sharm, we weren’t even immediately given bracelets and weren’t allowed to have breakfast (having said that we only had lunch in the price) - not fatal, but unexpected. Early check-in, even for an additional payment at the reception, was refused (we had a mother with 3 children in the group who arrived, she tried to negotiate). They said that everyone will be settled after 13.00. For suitcases, too, they did not allocate any space, they offered to leave it right in the hall. They said you can go to the beach without bracelets - there will be no questions. There are two beaches - paid EL Fanar for $ 3 for each entrance (if not from the hotel - the entrance there is $ 6) and free in the bay near the "Old City" (the penultimate one in front of the port). On Fanar bus at 10.15 (walking minutes 40), for free at 9.00 (walking about an hour). By 8.30, people with beach accessories began to gather at the exit of the hotel, from whom we learned that the bus would soon be "stormed"... When he (the bus) drove up, the crowd was no longer small. Everyone rushed to the door, not observing any queue and not paying attention to the children. They were crowded (everyone, of course, without masks), the driver started yelling in Arabic, a hotel worker came and started kicking out those who were standing (they say now the police are watching to drive only in seated places). Those who did not fit turned out to be no less than the "lucky ones" who fit in the 1st entry, and the hotel worker said that in 10 minutes there would be another bus. Looking ahead, I’ll say that waiting for the 2nd bus trip is at least half an hour, or even 40 minutes, because. the beach is very far away (and the road is still being repaired), so one way is 15-20min. drive! . .
Beach - Shit! Firstly, there is not only this hotel, but also the Old Vic (and they are brought earlier), there are not enough sunbeds, there is a war for them. Sunset is sandy, there are no corals, no fish, the corral is separated by a rope of 20-30 meters - enjoy it! If you swim outside, the "lifeguard" starts to whistle, and all sorts of boats, plates, bananas and boats are there one on one. The stench of gasoline and an oily iridescent film on the water completed the picture. . . If you don't know how to swim, then you will probably like it there, but if you came to Egypt to watch underwater beauties, then you are clearly not here. If you walk along the shore to the right for about 10 minutes, there is a military base at the top, a shore littered with garbage (both tourists and warriors - even some rusty tanks have some burnt ones), but there are already at least some corals and living creatures.

In general, they made it to the bus. They didn't fit into the 1st, they kicked us out of the 2nd (they said it was for the Old Vic, not for Verginia). We left at 3m after waiting 40min. in the sun, because they were afraid to go somewhere in the shade, so as not to fit in this one.
We arrived at the hotel, immediately received bracelets and a key to the room. We immediately ran to the dining room, because there wasn't much left before the end of dinner.
Meals are standard all days of stay - rice, pasta (always) and potatoes or something else from time to time. Fried fish (the same), grilled chicken, sometimes some sausages. Salads, oranges from fruit almost every day, once there were dates, 3-4 times melon and pomegranate (well, you still need to manage to get all this, because they take out a little and immediately dismantle it). Plenty of pastries, but nothing special. Tea, coffee, chemical drinks - fanta, etc. Beer in small plastic cups. As for the rest of the alcohol, I won’t say - they didn’t drink... For breakfast, only scrambled eggs and fried pancakes are edible, for which there are always huge queues, because. fry it all in 4-6 pans...
SETTLEMENT - found your room, there are 2 single beds in the room (we have a ticket 2 + 1), a child is 8 years old. Before that, other hotels ALWAYS had 3 beds (either immediately or delivered), even when the child was 4-5-6 years old. Here, having returned to the reception, we received an answer that your tour does not provide for the presence of a 3rd bed. And in general, in the evening there will be a meeting with your guide - all questions to him. In the evening, the guide did not decide anything (and did not decide, his business was to sell trips at triple prices), he said that in 2 + 1 tours the presence of a 3rd bed is at the discretion of the hotel. Well, let's go somehow to be accommodated, upon closer examination, the bedding turned out to be not changed - with someone else's hair and dirty spots. We returned again to the reception, explained, said to wait - they would send a cleaner to us.
p. s. there were a few more like us - both by the presence of beds in tours 2 + 1.2 + 2, and by dirty bedding.

The cleaner came and started to change the sheets. They explained to him that it was necessary to move the beds, because. there are 3 of us, and 2 beds. He said that he would now bring the 3rd bed (f*ck why they couldn’t do this at the reception, I don’t know... ) In general, they gave him $ 3 in the end and everyone was happy.
The room, in principle, is normal - air conditioning, a balcony, a safe, a wardrobe, bedside tables, an old TV set and a refrigerator. Large enough, even with an extra bed it was not cramped.
CLEANING. We were 11 days. Bed linen was not changed, towels too. The floors, if washed, were not particularly noticeable. In short, all the cleaning consisted in twisting figures from towels.
Water was given only on the 1st day - a 1.5 liter bottle for 3, then they were filled in a cooler in the dining room.
There is NO Internet, although they presented some 2 tickets for 2 free days of using Wi-Fi, but in fact it does not work at all. Therefore, if you need Internet - buy a SIM card.
On the territory there is 1 swimming pool and 3 slides, and for the very young ones there is another "paddling pool" with a small slide. Large slides include time: from 10 to 12 and from 15 to 17.
PAID BEACH - beautiful, there is something to see in the water, but the bus is not convenient in time (at 10.15 and 14.30) and the ticket is not for the whole day, but for one visit (i. e. go to the hotel for lunch and you won’t be able to return ).
LIFE HACK. In a 15min leisurely walk (to the left of the hotel) there is Reef Beach. Quite spacious and you can see the fish. Entrance there is $3. But for the OldVic hotel (it's across the street from Verginia), they sell tickets there at the reception for $ 1.5. The first time I went there myself and bought tickets, the second time they refused to sell, saying that it was only for their guests. I had to ask a vacationer from this hotel to buy tickets for us (we immediately bought the right amount so as not to go back and forth anymore). In general, we spent most of our vacation on this beach, walked at any convenient time, and after lunch you can return to the beach without paying again.

Several times we went to the paid EL Fanar (before lunch), because. after lunch, the sun quickly hides and there is nothing to do there (in the autumn-winter period). After lunch, you can go for a free ride and from there take a walk to the mosque in the Old City (there is nearby), well, from there to the hotel by taxi or on foot, whichever is more convenient for you.
There are many restaurants, fruits and souvenirs. Also, in smaller quantities, but with the same assortment, there is a similar one closer to the hotel on IL Mercato and on the next street (near the water park) there is a Mango store (with fixed prices and the possibility of paying by card) and on stalls nearby.
Animation. From 20.30 to 21.00 - children's (the same), but the children like it. Then from 21.00 to 21.30 some competitions for adults - karaoke, guess the melody, hotel mister, etc. At the weekend they invited "belly dance" and "skirt".
TOTAL - if you come across an inexpensive tour, then you can go and adapt. Similar problems (perhaps not all, but partially) are present in all budget hotels in Sharm. And in general, Charm grows weaker every year - more and more abandoned hotels, more and more garbage and dirt on the streets and beaches, less and less interesting reefs and living creatures... But the opportunity to return to the summer for a while still outweighs (for me personally) everything minuses. Now charters with Russia have been resumed, perhaps this will help Egypt get out of the devastation.
