We visited Egypt for the first time and Xperience St. George Homestay. We went from the company Joyce Tours ((.

The hotel is located 20 minutes drive from Sharm airport, right next to the road. It consists of several two-story buildings overlooking the road or the internal pools. Upon arrival, the smell was unpleasantly surprising (once it was in the stable, something like that), then it turned out that in the morning they were watering the lawns with technical water, an hour later everything was fine, it was ventilated to see)).

In connection with the early arrival, we had to wait for the check-in, however, they still settled us earlier than the prescribed 14.00 and, surprisingly, for free. The room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the road. The room and balcony are large (the most spacious in our travel history), comfortable wide bed, furniture (not new, but quite decent), safe, refrigerator, TV with 30 channels (not all local)). For a leftover chocolate bar or a dollar, they twisted figures from towels, changed the bed every day (! ) and gave more bottles of water.
In the evening on the day of arrival, a meeting was held with the hotel guide Abdullah (again, the travel agency Joyce (((), a rather unpleasant young man who suggested that we fill out questionnaires that indicated which excursions we wanted to take, and also warned about responsibility when buying excursions outside hotel (? ) We didn’t fill out the questionnaires and didn’t hand over to the guide, for which a small revenge followed at the check-out, like “No? on the bulletin board, we found out ourselves through a travel agent. By the way, Joyce's transfer to the airport from the hotel was an hour late, so we arrived 1.5 hours before departure. .

The food at the hotel is at a decent level - every day meat (chicken, beef, fish), once there were even grilled crabs. A fairly rich selection of pastries and sweets, ice cream for lunch every day.
Drinks are poured and brought by waiters - juices, alcohol to choose from, cocktails are made to order. Food is laid by workers behind a glass partition.

The hotel has 2 of its own beaches - sandy with a gentle approach and coral with a sunset from the pier. Buses run to and from the beach, the schedule is convenient. Drive 8-10 minutes. Enough sunbeds, there are mattresses. The hotel provides towels against the card. The hotel itself has 3 swimming pools, one completely paddling pool and 2 adults (150 cm deep). There are bars by the pools - water, cola, beer, cocktails. There is an animation team - well done guys (Lalya, Zizo, Eslam, Rita, etc. ), they try not to let you get bored. Entertainment programs in the evenings.

We took excursions on the street - a sightseeing tour (quad bikes, camel riding, swimming on a reef, a drive to the town of Dahab and some kind of canyon) and a trip on a yacht to a coral reef (all for $ 20 / person). Not impressed (well, at least the hotel Abdullah was not overpaid))).

Distance from the hotel to the old city by taxi for 2-3 dollars 10 minutes. Shops only souvenir, fruit and seafood. At prices - mango 1-2 dollars / kg (class)), shrimp (large, cooked right there) - 7 dollars / kg. No textiles (not Turkey, however)).

CONCLUSION. The hotel deserves attention and praise. As elsewhere, there are minor flaws, but not critical. Joyce Tours and its employees - GUANO, there will be offers from them - do not contact)).
