We went with a girl to rest in December 2009 for a week in this hotel. In principle, we didn’t even plan to rest this winter for financial reasons : ) But we accidentally called s7-tours, and there was a last-minute trip to Zouara Hotel 3 * - half board, 7 nights, 14.000 rubles. for two ($460). The money is ridiculous, so they bought it without hesitation. Before that, they rested in Egypt 3 times: once in 5 * and two in 4 *. Therefore, there was something to compare with, and we knew what to expect. Hastily looked in the internet description of the hotel and reviews. Knowing that at least half of these reviews are written by fat losers who groan and gasp if they see a lizard in a hotel, suffer that there is no animation in the hotel (IMHO, why . . uy it is needed at all), cry if you have to go to the sea 100 or 500 meters, they are surprised what a bad hotel staff is, such stupid people don’t even understand Russian, while they themselves know only TU BIR in English, etc. , they weren’t very surprised after reading the reviews about Zuar. We looked at the photos of the hotel and bought a ticket.
The hotel is very nice, in Bedouin style. Quite small but cozy. It is located at the very end of the Nabq Bay district (20 km from Naama Bay). It’s better not to take a taxi at all, but it’s better to move on small blue minibuses that run around the clock, and they are mainly used by local residents - from Zuara to Naama Bay, the fare per person is 10 pounds. If you want to go to the Old Market, it's better to get to Naama for 10 pounds and transfer to another minibus there and get to the Old Market for just 1 pound! (and from Zuara to the Old Market it will be 20 pounds))) DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THE LOCAL ARAB - no one will eat you: firstly, no one needs you, secondly, in Egypt, any local will be torn off for a tourist, t. to. Egypt lives on tourism alone. The tourist police, which are on almost every corner, are very strict about this.
The hotel has a large swimming pool, which really swam only once on the last day))) because. it is not heated, and without taking alcohol on the chest, you can catch a normal vim). When we arrived, there were practically no vacationers in the hotel, we basically didn’t give a damn about it. When we left, many more guests arrived at the hotel (for the new year). But personally, I would not advise you to go there for any holidays. First of all, because of the expensive tours. We talked with Georgians who came there for the New Year - so they got a ticket for one for a week for $ 750 !!!

Our room was on the ground floor with a terrace overlooking the pool. Room without frills - large bed, TV, shower, hairdryer, bedside tables and refrigerator. Yes, it didn’t really matter to us, the main thing was to have somewhere to spend the night))) Going to Egypt to spend time in a room is nonsense. There you need to walk, relax, hang out in Naama Bay, sunbathe, swim in the sea and spend as little time as possible in the hotel. Many write that they practically did not clean up - what kind of nonsense? Although it is not surprising if you behaved like typical Russian rednecks with the staff, believing that if you came to them, they should kiss your ass for joy. We always said hello and talked to all the staff (in English, of course). It was just for fun for us. They are very polite, funny and accommodating, if you treat them the same way. Don't think that they all need to know Russian, you just need to know English. Once there was a joke, an administrator approached my girlfriend in a restaurant and scaredly asked her, like, was she offended by him? We asked him: why did he think so? He said that she didn't say hello to him when she came in : ))))))
The restaurant is quite tiny, but given that there were few tourists at that time, it was spacious. We had half board so we went for breakfast and dinner. The food at the hotel is monotonous, without frills and an abundance of different dishes. The bare minimum)) We mostly ate fried sausage slices, pancakes, sweets, rice with chicken, fish and a little something else. For dinner, all drinks are for money only!! ! It's such a waste. The most remarkable thing about this hotel is that there is a Metro shop nearby (15-20 min walk)!! ! (There are only 2 of these stores in Sharm El Sheikh - one in Nabq Bay, the second in the Old Market). We didn’t worry about the lack of lunch at all, because. grocery shopping at Metro. The prices there are generally ridiculous, juice costs 6 pounds, tangerines, pomegranates 4 pounds / kg, etc. There are many banks and ATMs near the Metro.
Shuttle bass goes to the beach every half an hour like. We used to go to the beach on it and walk back. The beach is large, sandy, no corals and hedgehogs. To swim you need to go 100 meters, because. very petty. If you swim far to the right towards the second pontoon, there will be small coral islands at the bottom, the sea depth is 6-10 meters. I saw octopuses there once. There are few fish and not as beautiful as in hotels with coral reefs. The sea in December was a little cool when you enter, and when you are already swimming, it’s completely narmul. By the way, when we went on a boat trip on a yacht and swam near coral reefs near other hotels at a depth, the sea there was very warm. During the day the temperature was +27, at night +16 (but not cold). The strong wind was only two days, but we were in cairo for one day.
In general, this is a normal hotel for relaxing for a week on last-minute trips and spending time on various excursions and parties. But it is not recommended for the first visit to Egypt, because. you can ruin your whole idea of it.

P. S. there is no abundance of cockroaches and lizards in the rooms (did not see a single one in a week). the room was cleaned every day, except for one day when we forgot to remove the "do not disturb" sign)), I saw a couple of flies.
P. S. S. yes, keep all documents, money and valuables in a safe at the reception!! ! documents, money, a camera and a telephone were stolen from two girls from St. Petersburg from their room (although the glass door to the terrace did not close from the very beginning, I don’t know why they didn’t change the number)
