We stayed at this hotel in April. Last year we rested in Hurghada at the Steigenberger Hotel. Both places have their pros and cons. If we compare the beach and the sea, then in Cataract it is much better, the bottom is sandy, the corals are 20-30m from the beach. The rich underwater world is not necessarily to go down with scuba gear, you can see this miracle in a mask. We did not climb out of the sea for hours, even feeding the fish from our hands : ). There are plenty of sunbeds on the beach for everyone. There is a bar on the beach where you can take only non-alcoholic drinks for free. This Cataract is very different from Steigenberger, there were free alcoholic drinks and food on the beach. Another small minus in Cataract is that volleyballs were not given free on the beach. On the territory of the Cataract Hotel there is one fairly large pool with different depths from 1.5m to 2.5m. There is no animation, but it's good even without it, it's quite calm inside the hotel, but the city center is outside the hotel. The peak begins in the evening, many fish restaurants, hookah, souvenir shops. Hotel Katarakt two-storey, built in 1995. The room has a balcony, but we had it facing the wall, although it was not needed. The room was cleaned pretty clean every other day, but you can ask them to clean every day. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we just overate. in the morning there is little variety, but at lunch and dinner they also served meat and squid, battered fish, chicken almost every day. In general, meat was not offended : ). The waiters are very friendly, they sit at the table and also say thank you for cleaning up the dirty pasuda for you : ), the smiling mood immediately rises. On the territory of the hotel there is a large tennis court for a fee, a free gym, after which you experience a buzz going down into the pool. We actually expected worse from the hotel, but we liked everything, perhaps because we did not put the hotel itself as the highest priority. For us, the main thing was the sea, the beach, the sun, and swim in the pool. Of course there were people who were outraged, but the main thing is to have a little optimism and look for the good and not the bad. We are very satisfied. I advise you to go to the new water park, it's super, we got a lot of adrenaline. The new water park has 35 slides, including children's slides. The water park itself is made under the Red Square, it is amazingly beautiful. On the territory of the water park there are sun loungers and various pools. If you drive yourself, then the entrance costs $ 28 + a taxi there and back $ 6. You can stay from 9 am to 5 pm. Have a nice holiday.
