We rested with my wife and a child of 7 years from October 28 to November 07.2008.

Transfer.

They flew there to Vladivostok-Avia. It seems not even a charter. No questions. Everything is right on schedule. Host - Tez-tour. 5 minutes drive from the airport is a bold move. Of course, you can meet if you go straight from there to the hotel. But, unfortunately, our hotel was the last one on the list, so we drove all 30 minutes. There were bumps on the way back. The bus was late for 25 minutes, then we missed another hotel - we were returning. The girl was inexperienced, she does not know hotels. Drove - also the same special. With grief in half we arrived, flew away almost on time. 10 minutes delay is no time. We flew back to the State Customs Committee "RUSSIA". God! Now I will avoid it with all my might. What does it mean - a state-owned company. Scoop scoop. The conductors are not that rude, but they behave unfriendly, they react harshly and conflictedly to fair claims of passengers on the quality of service.
Yes, they are not to blame for the fact that they, you see, have NORMALS. 30% orange juice, 30% apple and 30% tomato. And that the second glass of juice is NOT ALLOWED. But you can not present it as a normal phenomenon! However, they arrived on time. Sat down okay. The main task was completed on "Excellent". What else I would like to note. Sharm El Sheikh Airport is very beautiful and modern. BUT! For some reason, they consider it their duty to turn on the air conditioners at full capacity. As a result, it is noticeably cool everywhere, but, worst of all, this coolness BLOWS. Very uncomfortable and painful. Especially on the way back, after the heat and climate of Egypt. The air conditioners there are EVIL. To catch a cold is elementary.
Reception.
At the reception, they immediately and simply told me that we had a room without a specific view on a ticket. But they have a great Sea View. And for only 40 euro baksheesh. I asked to go and have a look. Satisfied. I didn't bargain, I just paid. No complaints.
They speak Russian like most Arabs - bad. But they understand.
Number.
The room is standard for Egypt and this type of hotel. Made in oriental style. I liked. My wife didn't like the color pink. She preferred white. The room, by the way, is in the same pink-red color (walls and ceiling). Everything in the room worked except for the fridge. I didn't need it and I didn't bother. The air conditioner worked but was quite noisy. We didn't use it because we didn't need it. Cleaned up every day. No cleaning issues. Everything is clean, licked, on the bed there are regularly some surprises from towels. True, I left a couple of times for 5 euros. The safe is free and works. By the way, there are many traces of untimely dead bloodsuckers on the walls. Don't forget to take anti-mosquitoes with you. It's hard without them. And in Egypt they are very expensive. One time an ant was seen in the bathroom. One more time - a lizard.

It's amazing how fast it changes color so that you can't see it anymore.
By numbers there are such considerations. Sea Life itself is stretched perpendicular to the seashore, and the reception is farthest from the sea. Accordingly, in different parts, one or another part of the animation will "get" you. Closer to the reception - evening chants and night disco until 01:00. Next - an evening show in the amphitheater. Close to the shore - daytime animation like dancing, meditation, games, etc. So take your pick. There are rooms with a balcony inside, and there is outside. I think it should be quieter outside. But the view from the window will be ambiguous. On the one hand - Sea Club. On the other hand, there is a fence and a dug up desert. The restaurant, by the way, is located near the reception. This is also an argument for some that it was not far to walk.
My room was on the beach on the first floor (718th). Across the path is the beach. Through the bushes and the path on the other side - the pool and the animation stand.
From the 3rd day I changed clothes right in the room, already leaving it in swimming trunks or trousers (for a meal).
Territory.
The territory is well-groomed, green, many flowers. Beautiful. But, I must say, the neighboring Sea Club looks more respectable. We were slightly strained by the pink color of the walls of the buildings. Against its background, the white Sea Club looked much more noble. As has already been said a lot here, the territory of Sea Life and Sea Club is the same. You can use everything without restrictions. Even the bracelets are the same color. Only the beach towels are different.

Sea Life and Sea Club each have one large pool. In Club it is bigger and deeper. ATTENTION! Everywhere they write that the pools are heated. This is true. BUT! Heating is switched on only IN DECEMBER! And in November the water is pretty cold there. You can play water polo, but you can’t enjoy drinking water for a long time. Here in the sea - another matter.

The Internet is, but paid. I didn't buy. Shops are also available. In them you can buy everything for swimming and souvenirs. Jewelry, of course.

Service.
And what about the service ...There are practically no questions. Everything is more or less fast, clearly, no one burst into the room with cleaning, the staff smiles, greets, and is polite. Guest Relations speaks Russian. After the placement, they called me back and clarified whether I was satisfied with everything. After that, they met again on the territory and asked for a review. At the end of my stay, the animators, the manager in the dining room and at the reception asked me to fill out a review on a special form. The form is also in Russian. A perfectly reasonable questionnaire. Service is the same in both hotels. It seems that there is another Sea Garden across the road, but I have not been there.

The medicine.

Had the sad need to communicate with the local Dr. Mohamed. Of course, by calling the insurance company in advance (do this ALWAYS and BEFORE visiting the doctor!!! ). An ordinary doctor. Sitting at the Sea Club Hotel. The child went untreated and "went" there in the wind and with a cold pool through the tracheitis into bronchitis.

All this was accompanied by terrible bouts of coughing, especially at night. The wife, on the other hand, was reading a very interesting detective story on the beach, and so for half a day she lay on one side to a very cold, strong and even wind. Understandably, she woke up the next day with a blocked throat. So tracheitis-bronchitis plus tonsillitis prompted me to call the insurers and then visit the doctor. The doctor likes to prescribe antibiotics, see patients every day, and give injections if it makes sense. It is clear that he then receives money from the company for each manipulation. But that in itself is interesting. He also gives medicines himself and they are also free. We must be prepared for the fact that at the appointed time the doctor is never there. He may be on a call, he may be at dinner ...Calmly go to the Sea Club reception and report the problem. They destroy everything. In general, the doctor is attentive, soft, all of himself.
True, he does not speak Russian (only English). Guest Relations, by the way, offered their help in communicating with the doctor. It is in terms of translation from Russian and into Russian. Don't neglect if you need to. They were generally satisfied with the medicine.

Nutrition.

I must say right away that I, of course, am not a gourmet, but I like to eat delicious and varied food. Nutrition is Egypt's sore spot. Turkey is usually better. Sea Life is no exception. It seems to be, everything is there, except for pork. And there isn't much to choose from. Salads - so sauces all taste the same. Fortunately, you can take the vegetables separately and mix to taste. But there is no sour cream for dressing, just as there is no sunflower oil. For lovers of pasta there, of course, expanse, no wonder the hotel is visited by a huge number of Italians. Breakfast is fried eggs and pancakes. You choose the filling for the scrambled eggs as well as the seasoning for the pancakes. Everything is OK here. Seasonal vegetables are quite edible. Diet food is also available. There was always edible fish (perch) and chicken.

But finding chicken cooked in two different ways at the same time is impossible. Themed dinners every day - cool. I tried different delicious national food. On the pictures there is a schedule with a layout for the days of the week. At the same time, everything is the same in the Sea Club, but the weeks are reversed. Oh, by the way, I forgot to say. You can eat at Sea Life, or you can eat at Sea Club. The menu is the same damn thing. But in the Sea Club, the uncomfortable atmosphere and the air conditioner blowing from everywhere were very annoying. It is on him that I sin as the reason that I myself caught a cold in the end. We had dinner there only once (it was only 40 minutes before the doctor) - and here you are. In general, it is better to eat at Sea Life. At least there you can find a table where it doesn't blow. By the way, you should not fuss and rush headlong at the entrance to the restaurant. You will be politely and with a smile invited and escorted to a table. Even at lunch and dinner, you can order draft juices for free, although this is listed as paid on the menu.
In general, if there is any doubt, then it is necessary to clarify whether it is free or for cash. This is normal.

There were quite a few fruits. Bananas, pomegranates, two types of raw and processed dates, grapes, grapefruit, persimmons, something similar to yellow pears, something else incomprehensible, tastes like a mixture of unripe strawberries and cucumbers. Freshly squeezed juices - for money.

Delicious bread and variety of pastries. Yoghurts, jams, milk and muesli fillings in assortment and in abundance (there were even diet jams), ice cream (in the children's corner of the restaurant)

What I didn't like was the snack bar. In the evening after sunset (between 17 and 18:30) there was frankly nothing to eat in Sea Life, but I just wanted to after all the physical entertainment. In the Sea Club, you can get poor quality pizza, tolerable muffins, a sandwich with bad sausage or cheese near the pool.

Sport.

You can play tennis. It's free, but you need to sign up for the courts in advance. After sunset, you have to pay to turn on the lights.
You can play table tennis for free. One table outside at Sea Life and two at Sea Club. You can play free beach volleyball twice a day (one court per hotel). You can also play water polo once a day for free. It greatly develops the breath. Almost no one knows how to play, so do not be afraid to embarrass yourself. It's fun. It seems that there is also football, but I myself have not seen it. In addition, the animators conduct exercises, aqua aerobics, dances (oriental, latina), step, then more dances, and in the evening yoga stretching (stretching). It was very difficult to concentrate on playing volleyball during the last event, hehe. The music was simply lulling.

Sea and beach.

The beach, as many have already written, is rather small and "piecewise", that is, with small gaps. There were always enough beds. Depending on whether the tide is in or out, the depth of the sea near the shore is different. But in any case, swimming, most likely, will not work.
To swim, you must either go right along the coast for about a kilometer (people always hang out there, so you won’t mix it up), or go left to the Sea Club pontoon. Both options have their charms. If you go to the right, no one gets you with whistles "down there", you can swim at a comfortable depth for you between small islands of coral reefs, see a variety of fish, see live corals. If you go to the pontoon, then there is a very beautiful steep reef and immediately great depth, there are always beautiful fish. But there are too many people at the pontoon. They interfere with each other. The sea is still surprisingly warm at this time of the year. Degrees 26-27 Celsius. The first few days, alas, a strong wind blew, there were big waves, they were not allowed to swim from the pontoon. But in the part on the right, it was possible to swim in plenty. The main thing is not to catch a cold later in a strong even wind (who has something that hurts ... )

There are no water activities. No bikes or anything else. And thank God.
I remember how in Sonesta Beach those damn Glass Boats shook, which prevented you from admiring the beauties of the sea.

Animation.

The animation was pretty weak. This is by no means an indicator, because the teams in hotels change every few months. And yet. There were two Russian-speaking girls. One of them was very good as an animator. The second one is none. The rest seem to be Italians. There was one hell of a thing. In all that time, I NEVER saw a smile on his face. You know, a kind of Mephistopheles ...But our animator said that there are a large number of Italians with whom this particular person finds a common language. They are. God bless him. I still think he's a bad animator. He was not attracted. He was negligent in his duties (for example, did not keep score in games).

The animation program takes almost the whole day. Focused on a small space (which turned out to be very convenient). Girls - to dance.

Volleyball, water polo, table tennis for boys. Or as you please. I took part in a cocktail game once and won a free tattoo (temporary). Funny : -)

There were shows in the evenings. Where the audience took part (traditional "Miss ... " and "Mr ... ") it was fun. What the animators themselves did...There were only two times. It wasn't interesting. The dance show is of very average quality. And the Fire show at the level of hudsam (seen in the same Egypt in another hotel much better). I repeat, I watched it all twice in 10 days, because due to external reasons they fell down into bed already at 10 pm.

Back at 9pm there is a standard kids disco. Everywhere the same "I'm a music man ... ", etc. Rarely few children participated. By the way, once I looked at a similar event at the Sea Club - there were Russians and there were more children. And the contests were for them. It would make sense to go there. But our child generally likes to look at these actions only from the outside.

Tours.
As always, on the beach you are offered a bunch of interesting things and cheaper than Tez-Tour offered before. I went quad biking in the Nabq desert, buying this from Tez-Tour (didn't want to risk it). What can I say...It won't work. Fast and with a breeze to drive through the desert - too. All the way around the column, a car with an operator in the back is winding, he is filming everything. I even bought a DVD for 20 euros. Haven't looked yet. By the way, it makes sense, if you are going to buy a DVD, immediately tell the operator about it, encouraging him to shoot more of you.

Stuff

Sea Life and Sea Club hotels have ATMs. They recommend using it in Sea Life, because the Sea Club often eats cards (wait for the service later). They only issue pounds. I used it without problems.

Airplanes fly, but you can hardly hear them in the rooms. A couple of times a day you can hear the Boing-747 Transaero and once the IL-86 Aeroflot-Don. All the rest were completely on-drum to me.

But, apparently, some kind of aerobatic team was training in Sharm at that time, most likely the French. There were both jet and propeller-driven aircraft, figures were twisted. Since the hotel is close to the airport, we had the opportunity to enjoy the spectacle.

In general, this is my second time in Egypt and the second time I (integrally) like Egypt more than Turkey (also two visits). Cleaner, friendlier, prettier. This is a purely subjective opinion of mine and my wife. And, as usual, I really enjoyed my stay. Even in spite of adverse external factors. Apparently it's a matter of attitude. : )
