Choosing Egypt for the next vacation, I always counted on wallowing on the beach, the sea and serenity. For sightseeing and active routes, other countries are on my list.
I can say that in general we were satisfied with the hotel and the rest, although we did not get the most important thing for which we went there - the sea. And so, in order:
SEA: Entrance to the sea is allowed from the shore (in some hotels they are simply not allowed there), but it is very shallow there. Before lunch, the tide is always low and the depth is from 5 cm to the waist, and on 90% of the area it is 5 cm, and only in a small area you can at least plunge - all sea lovers gather on it. Before lunch, the reef just sticks out of the water and the view of the sea looks somehow ugly. After lunch, closer to 4-5 o'clock, the tide begins and where it was 5 cm it becomes knee-deep, and where it is waist-deep, now it is chest-deep. There is also fish near the shore, so, in principle, there was something to see, although in 10 days it was rather fed up.

The main entrance is from the pontoon (1 pontoon for 3 hotels and a long beach with a high vertical iron staircase to enter the sea). Before lunch, a red flag is usually hung and swimming is prohibited - either because of the waves, or because of the fish. Usually the pontoon is opened somewhere around 11 am - in 10 days they opened 2 times only in the afternoon and 1 time they did not open at all. Strong waves and very strong currents make it difficult to enjoy the reef - the waves constantly wash up on the reef, and the current carries you further away from the pontoon. And you can swim only downstream from the pontoon. Once we hesitated a little and we were carried away by 50-100 meters from the pontoon to return back to me, a girl who does not swim very fast and well, it was worth titanic efforts and a little panic.
The pontoon closes at sunset, that is, whoever is lucky - we had it at 6 o'clock.
In general, before lunch, I had to swim in the pool, which seems to me simply unacceptable at sea.
HOTEL: Large, beautiful, green area, small houses - very comfortable and cozy. This is probably the biggest plus of hotels - by the way, you can walk and eat in Sea Life, Sea Club and Sea Garden absolutely calmly.
The room was large, beautiful, everything worked - shower, hair dryer, TV, safe, etc. Cleaned daily - the cleaner studied in St. Petersburg and willingly communicated with Russian-speaking tourists about life, did not impose anything and was polite.
An Internet card for half an hour can be bought for 5 bucks at the reception, though the speed was just terrible. We did not find any other way of access.
FOOD: The food is absolutely familiar to Egypt, only the Italian roots of the owners can be traced - almost every day, ketchup, pizzas, Italian bread and pasta were added to the standard menu.
Breakfast is standard - scrambled eggs, yogurt, muesli, sausage, cheese, sweets.
Dinners are themed every day - there are 10 options that change daily - and in three hotels on the same day they are always different - you can choose what you like best - either fish, then pizza, then meat, then the Far East, etc. The sweets are amazing as always and the selection is great.
I didn’t really like the drinks delivery system - you can’t take them yourself - you have to ask for them from the waiters, who you usually don’t wait for. From drinks there is water (by the way, it is given in 0.7 bottles in any quantity you need), Coca-Cola / Fanta / Sprite, concentrated juices, hibiscus tea, tea, coffee, beer and wine.

From alcoholic beverages you can drink only beer, wine and whiskey-Cola with a stretch. Everything else resembles technical alcohol in different concentrations and with different dyes. We didn't set out to drink alcohol at all, so we weren't really moved by it. Someone may be a fool and sweet vinegar.
I was also surprised by the lack of normal vegetables - tomatoes and cucumbers were tasteless, there were still lettuce leaves and that's it.
Another note - almost all the time we ate at the Sea Club. At first glance, it seems that the assortment in hotels is almost the same, but in the Sea Club, the melon is somehow more yellow, and the meat is fried, and drinks are brought faster. We weren't the only ones who went there to eat.
TOUR OPERATOR: The guide Vitalik already mentioned in the reviews is just awful. There is no sense in him at all - he answers all questions with memorized phrases and can only tell how much excursions cost.
In general, the stay was quite pleasant, although the lack of swimming was felt strongly.
