We rested at the hotel with my husband from 17 to 29 April 2012.
I liked everything very much. Not every 5 * hotel can be compared in quality with this 4 *.
ACCOMMODATION: We bought a ticket to Sea Life, but settled us in Sea Gardens. It was evening, it was dark, and at first we did not understand what was happening. Only in the morning we realized that we live in Sea Gardens. At the same time, as soon as we were settled, a local worker immediately came with a request to sign a piece of paper that everything suits us in the room. The room was good, large, family type, overlooking the pool. Therefore, we did not dispute that we were moved to Sea Life. But this precedent still confused me (because initially at the reception we gave $ 15 in order to avoid a spoiled mood about the settlement).
In Sea Gardens we only ate and spent the night. The beach is located on the territory of the Sea Life Hotel.

FOOD: The food in both hotels is the same, we compared. I liked the food very much. Some write that something is monotonous there, etc. People, yes you are mad with fat. Have you not rested in hotels where only fish with sauce is given with seafood. For lunch and dinner there was always beef, chicken (duck, turkey) and fish. Lots of fruits and vegetables. The waiters are smiling, we all became friends. Everyone just wants a human connection. And since some of our comrades come with an obsessive idea that everyone owes them something and behave accordingly, the attitude of the staff towards them is appropriate. boomerang effect. Separately, I would like to note the lobby bars, in the evenings there was live music and there was a very sincere atmosphere. Also great ala carte restaurants, be sure to go.
As for the contingent - 50 to 50 of ours and foreigners, as it seemed to me. Sea Gardens was mostly inhabited by Germans, Swiss and British. It pleased.
ANIMATION: Animation is good. Guys from Ukraine. Conducted morning exercises, yoga, water aerobics, beach volleyball and water polo. In the evenings, after the animation, they were taken by bus to various discos, and they were taken away at 2:30 at night. There are 2 discos on the territory of the hotels, but there is not a soul on them. We once went to a disco at the Savoy Hotel. For $ 2 is normal, the contingent - the tourists of other hotels.
EXCURSIONS: Excursions were not ordered and did not plan to go, because almost every day they report about the unfavorable political situation in Egypt. We went 2 times to the Metro store (we went out onto the road and stopped their local minibuses). We traveled as a couple for $1 one way. Although the real fare for us still remained a mystery : ) We also went to the old town to the market. We signed up for the Sea Club bus for 5 euros per person. But then they realized that they screwed up. A taxi might be cheaper. We went on a boat trip with local comrades from the diving center. We paid $35 per person, plus $15 if diving. I recommend to everyone. The walk is very good, everything is organized, we had delicious food at lunchtime, we stopped 3 times and swam in masks and fins over corals.
SEA/BEACH: The beach is very long, sandy, there were always free sunbeds. The sea is restless, I already knew about this before the trip from the reviews of tourists. Out of 12 days, only 2 times in the morning there was a yellow flag on the pontoon and they were allowed to swim. The remaining 10 days the pontoon was opened only in the afternoon, when the sea was relatively calm. In short, swimming from a pontoon is only for those who can swim well. I'm one of those, so I didn't feel any discomfort. In the first half of the day you could take a dip on the coral near the shore.

I want to sum up that there are much more pluses in this hotel than minuses. Therefore, I recommend it to everyone. And do not forget about a good mood and a positive attitude, because. this is half the experience of your holiday.
