We rested in this hotel with my mother from 07.06. 08 to 14.06. 08y. I am writing a review, but my thoughts are still there.
I was in Egypt for the third time - in 2003.2004. and now it's 2008. Before that, I had a rest in Hurghada - Coral Beach Rotana Resort 4 * and Iberotel Makadi Beach 5 *. In general, there is something to compare with (comparing only Egypt of course). I was in Makadi with my mother, it was her first trip, after that she fell ill with Egypt. First time in Sharm. I liked it much more than in Hurghada. Somehow cleaner and more civilized. In general, a lot of things have changed for my eye and ear in 4 years. Girls began to appear as workers. In Inter Plaza Beach 5 * in the restaurant there was a young Egyptian woman, with an insanely beautiful smile, cutting and distributing watermelon at dinner, and an aged woman. Also Egyptian. She baked cakes. + Before you could only hear - How are you? And other similar non-coherent speech in Russian. Now, even many waiters and cleaners, at least a little bit, but speak and understand Russian!!!
To be honest, I was ashamed of myself that they know their native language, English, and now they have taken up Russian, and I can somehow cope with my native language. In any case, they are great! In 5 years it will be like in Turkey - the local population in contact with the tourist industry will speak Russian without an accent)))))) Okay, this is the lyrics ...now to the point!


Before I went to buy a ticket to this hotel, I had a little time to run through the internet looking for reviews. Yes… frankly, everyone has their own opinion, everyone has their own feeling and impression of the hotel… but! I was pleased that out of 10 reviews, 60% are positive, 40% are negative - conclusion = you can go! I took a ticket through a network of Last minute stores (on Belorusskaya). In different offices of the IHL, they mainly offered two options - Domina Gardenia Plaza 4 * and Sol Y Mar Sharming Inn 4 *.
Both of them are on the second line from the sea, which, judging by the fact that you have to go to the beach by minibus, can be called not the second, but x ...knows which) given that I was with my mother, this option did not suit me. Moreover, after reading the reviews about these hotels, I was horrified and almost changed my mind about going to Egypt. 9 reviews out of 10 were negative((((
In Inter Plaza Beach 5 * I still went with caution. I read about the division into Russians and Italians (what a direct discrimination! ), the lack of animation (its presence is only for Italians), dividing us from them into two restaurants, shitty Russian service in terms of service in the same restaurant compared to Italians, diversified food, the settlement of Russians by automatic machine in the Russian village… God forbid, what other negative was it… oh yes, the linen was not changed every day for someone and it became oh what a tragedy! You might think that we all change bedding every day in everyday life! This is some nonsense!
In general, I went there with apprehension, of course, but my fears were not justified, thank God ...
The tour operator was Voyage Lux. Everything was great. I took documents, tickets, vouchers to Domodedovo without any problems. The meeting party was Tommy Tours, the guide was Karim. To him, a huge thank you and gratitude.

Departure from Moscow was at 17.00. In fact, at 18.00, but not through the fault of the air carrier, but through the fault of an aunt-tourist, who managed to stock up on the full program in the dutik and uncork the bottle so that it could not be yelled at throughout the airport. As a result, when she landed on board, everyone looked at her like a wolf!! ! The plane was fun. We flew KrasAyer on IL-86. That is, places where it was like! So… this time the Russian tourists began to bulge out at the airport.
As a result, it seemed that a huge company was flying, because everyone got to know each other, got drunk, kissed and another hour of flight, they would have started giving birth to children)))) It’s good that they flew and no one came out)))
Karim met us. Having gathered all the tourists at the airport, he took the six of us to Inter Plaza Beach, and the rest of the people went to some kind of Albatross. We arrived at 23.00. 10 minutes from the airport. To Naama Bay (the new city where hotels and all entertainments in the form of discos, bars, restaurants) are also located 10 minutes (for a taxi, if you catch it behind the hotel’s fence, you don’t need to give more than $ 5! Take a taxi at the hotel it will turn out more expensive, but it makes no sense! They don’t have traffic rules for all drivers). To the Old Market (the old city where you can buy fruits, souvenirs, etc. ) 15 minutes - for 7-8 dollars you can easily get there! The hotel will offer you a taxi for $12 minimum. Yes, I digress.
At the reception they took shape very quickly.
You could immediately ask for a room with a sea view. WE WOULD HAVE! And no extra charge! With a surcharge, they change it later if you check in, and then decide that you want to live in a room with a sea view. I know this because later I met my aunts, one immediately asked for such a number, and the second just asked to change it the next day. We didn't care, so we didn't ask for anything. We were settled in a Russian village, behind the main building. It's quiet, calm, big pool. Let me dispel another myth! Not only Russians, but also Germans, and Italians, and Englishmen are settled in the Russian village, in general, everyone, except for the Italians who came through the Spring Tour!! ! Here they have blue bracelets on their hands, everyone else, regardless of which country you are from, have green ones!!!

In the reviews, our compatriots wrote that there is discrimination in the hotel and it begins with the fact that Italians and Russians are recognized by blue and green bracelets, respectively. Nothing of the kind! Even if you look closely, on their blue bracelets it says - Spring Tour, not Inter Plaza Beach, like on green ones! Spring Tour bought some of the rooms in a hotel closer to the sea naturally, sends some of its compatriots there, a decent number of animators work there - in my opinion, Spring Tour is great, unlike our tour operators, who just sell tours, cut loot and more do not get bored. Dinner was brought to the room 30 minutes after check-in. There was a standard set as everywhere.
Further… the stories about two restaurants – separately for Russians and separately for Italians, didn’t turn out to be true either… I don’t know, maybe it’s just not the season? But EVERYONE ate at the same restaurant on the 2nd floor.
The variety of food I personally was very pleased with! The cuisine is adapted both to Russians and Italians, and there are dishes in the oriental style. For breakfast, for example, a couple of times there was semolina porridge, milk soup, pancakes. For lunch and dinner there were always two types of fish, meat and chicken. Chicken has always been cooked the same way, but meat and fish are different. There is a huge variety of vegetables for every taste. Baking sea!! ! Fruits - in the morning there is always a fruit salad of melon and apple, as well as either / or bananas, grapefruits, oranges, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, cherry plums, dates - one thing. For lunch, there were two types of the listed fruits, for dinner there is always a delicious, ripe, juicy watermelon and some other 1 type of fruit. Unfortunately, there was no melon separately, but I personally had enough of it in a salad)))) On Fri for dinner there was a day of marine reptiles - shell soup, 3 types of salads from squid, octopus, mussels and something else, I don’t know what is it called ...slippery, transparent.
So I didn’t share the opinions about the lack of diversity in the cuisine in the reviews !! ! My mother and I came to the unanimous opinion that how chic it was in Makadi Beach, Inter Plaza impressed us even more! We drank from alcohol white and red wine (I did not like white) and beer. Even the beer is great! From non-alcoholic drinks, not in the restaurant they drank hibiscus, juice cocktails. Alcoholic cocktails were taken at the bar near the reception, I tried coffee at the bar on the beach and at the bar at the reception. In my opinion they cook the same way. Nothing different.

During the rest, you can go 1 time to one of the restaurants - Fish, Oriental, and I don’t remember any other. We did not go, even if there was no particular desire. So everything in the main restaurant was a lot.
About the service: 1. in the restaurant there was a line of waiters nearby. You will not have time to set aside a dirty plate or an empty glass, they immediately clean it up. So we did not notice any ignore! 2.
Cleaning in the rooms - every day! Change of linen once (it did not bother us in any way  ). 3. Reception - I mainly turned to either the Russian girl Dasha (she is from 11 to 6), or to Valid (he speaks Russian quite well. He has a clear dislike for Italians, calling them jerks, of course)))), or to whom it will be necessary from the present Russian speakers. Well done! Everyone is served in turn, that is, if there is a queue, then they communicate with everyone who comes up in turn, again, I did not see any priority for the Italians or anyone else before the Russians! Also in bars by the way! In general, either I was so lucky, or someone unnecessarily fell into hysterics about discrimination. I didn't find it there
The territory of the hotel is quite large. The pool in the Russian village is impressive!
By the way, there are no good photos of the hotel in the prospectuses, and on the Internet - this is a flaw, of course!
Those pictures that are, they were taken at the opening of the hotel and are already outdated. I can’t say that the territory is too green, but grass, flowers and bushes are everywhere. The palm trees are a little withered, but this does not spoil the view in any way.
Animation. Yes, it's mostly in Italian. From the hotel in the evening there was a fakir show, discos by the pool in the Russian village, aqua aerobics. On the beach, the Italians invited EVERYONE to dance! For volleyball, too! The site is located to the right of the beach, if you stand facing the sea. The beach is small, but there were enough sunbeds even at rush hour and were even empty. The pools have no problems with sunbeds! There were hardly any people there either.

Sea! Separate song. Entrance to the sea from the pier and from the shore. From the shore there is a small piece for swimming, then corals begin. From the pier, if you dive, you can see quite a decent coral reef and fish! So I advise you to buy a mask with a snorkel and, if desired, fins. There is something to see.
Of course, you can’t compare with Ras Mohammed (this is the most beautiful place), but for a reef near the hotel it’s just gorgeous!
I didn’t ride on a banana, catamaran, boat and boat. It was just laziness) I dived more and more and lay in the sun later. And so people rode without problems.
Upon arrival, we were given a reminder of what where and how at the hotel. I was very surprised that it was written on the account of the minibar. Allegedly, it is replenished once a week! – 6 soft drinks. During the week they brought water to the refrigerator, and nothing more was needed, to be honest.
Now about the trouble that happened on vacation, but this does not concern the hotel. Mom and I decided to take three excursions! Motorcycle safari, Ras Mohammed and Jerusalem for 1 day. They also thought of it, took separate ATVs with my mother. Mom forgot on the bike when she was sitting, and here is such a unit! We quarrel with her each on ourselves.
She fell off him (thank God, she was wearing a helmet, but hit her leg hard and landed with all her weight on her shoulder. She pulled her leg, but with her shoulder ...at first they thought that she had broken her arm, then they decided that the collarbone. I wrote a text message to Karim, they say what to do. So for a second, it was the second day of rest! I’m in a panic, I don’t know what happened to my mother’s shoulder ...full of kicks ...Karim helped, wrote what to do, where to go, call. I weakly thought of anything in this panic, therefore, as soon as we returned to the hotel, I immediately went to the reception. They called us to the hotel doctor's room and sent ice in 5 minutes. The doctor came, felt, said that there was no fracture in the collarbone and other parts of the body. pills and ointment. When I came to my senses, I thought damn it, now I’ll have to pay for the doctor myself! I completely forgot about insurance. Although the doctor took our insurance, he copied the data.

And so, they have an examination by a doctor for $ 50, and then an injection and medicine !! ! When we left the room, we paid at the reception, they didn’t take a penny from us for a doctor! I don’t know if it’s an accident or practice, I won’t say anything. But we were only charged £.6 for calling Karim from the reception. Nothing else!
Mom turned out to be more or less okay. A day later, we went with her to Jerusalem for a daily excursion. This happiness cost 150 dollars per person. We were taken by Apple Tour, as it turned out, this tour costs $ 80. Tommy Tours has 150. They have to earn money somehow) in any case, for such an excursion 3800r. per person is cheap! Were in Bethlehem (Church of the Nativity), Jerusalem (the old city, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Wailing Wall). We were not in the Garden of Gethsemane, but it was not announced in the program either. Not doing so much. In the morning we swam in the Dead Sea, smeared ourselves with mud)))) if you are planning to go, take soap so that you don’t buy there.
Although the guys who were in the same race with us did not warn anyone, at 2 o’clock at the reception they reported that the room had been extended to three and it’s normal))) no problem! No one came to them at 12 o'clock! They were sleeping in the room, so they would hardly have heard a knock)
We were supposed to be picked up from the hotel at 19.15. The machine arrived on time. But we decided to have dinner with the whole crowd, so we left quite calmly at 19.25. They took only six of us, so we didn’t make anyone but the driver wait)
In general, if I go to Sharm again, then ONLY to this hotel! From the rest I had a pleasant experience!!!
For the first time in my life, I regretted that the flight was not delayed by about a day  and flew back to Moscow on time. So the hotel would have been extended (they have such a practice now).
7 days is too short...
