Mechnikova, 11, of. 19, I took and went to the place where the girl was sent to Egypt, many thanks to her !!! , advised several hotels. Since the whole trip was planned for the sake of my beloved wife, the choice of the hotel was offered to her. After a thorough study of the hotels, the choice fell on the "CONTINENTAL PLAZA BEACH RESORT". The choice was influenced by many factors, namely: the first line by the sea and its own beach; the possibility of using the infrastructure of a nearby hotel; very green area; the location of the beach in a small bay, which reduced the influence of the wind; the presence of a sandy entrance to the water and at the same time a pontoon; their live corals.
Familiarization with reviews about the hotel on the Internet, they did not give us anything because they were mostly negative, which confused us very much. But we are used to trusting only ourselves, so all the negativity was forgotten, and as it turned out later, it was not in vain.
After we decided on the hotel, we were faced with the choice of a tour operator to whom we could entrust the organization and safety of our holiday. On the advice of friends, we had a desire to use the services of TEZ TOUR, but as it turned out, the operator estimated his work at 300 USD. more expensive than other tour operators, so we decided that we would holiday with TURTESS.
We were insured against everything by the European Travel Insurance company, which aroused my distrust, since the payment for an insured event in the host country, according to the terms of the contract, had to be paid by myself. Refunds were made by checks already upon returning to the territory of Ukraine. The amount of the insurance policy was less than that of other companies that paid out 15 thousand USD each, and ours paid out - 10 thousand USD. In parallel, a couple of reviews were found on the Internet about the failure to fulfill their obligations to the insured persons upon arrival in Ukraine. Since I was used to not having even the slightest fear for our lives abroad, there was a great desire to play it safe in another insurance company. But still, we decided to trust this one. Thank God I didn't have to use her services.
Since we flew to this beautiful country for the New Year, we also had to pay for the New Year's table - 150 USD. for two. Reading the reviews on the Internet, most of them wrote that it was a money scam, that the table was very bad, that there was no entertainment program, but all this, like many other things, did not materialize.
After paying for the tickets, we began to wait for the day of departure, which could be delayed at any moment due to weather conditions, in Kyiv at that time the weather was constantly changing, then it was snowing, then there was heavy fog, then pouring, pouring rain after which there was frost.
And then the long-awaited day of departure came, things were collected in advance, a taxi was ordered, WE ARE AT THE AIRPORT. The flight to Sharm el-Sheikh was helped by Ukraine International Airlines, very good, and in appearance new and clean planes, polite and pleasant flight attendants, excellent food on board.
At 12.00 we landed safely at the airport of Sharm el-Sheikh, HORRAY WE ARE IN EGYPT, our vacation began with the usual everyday life of a tourist: filling out declarations, obtaining visas, going through passport control, “search” for luggage.
After all these small joys, we are at the exit from the airport, where we are met by a representative of TURTESS. A short road to the hotel, which is only 4 km away and we are already at the reception, where we fill out registration cards, and after 15 minutes we are in the booked hotel room. We had a double room, standard not far from the reception. In the room: a double bed, a small sofa, a wardrobe, a safe, a mini bar, a bedside table for a suitcase, a bedside table for TV, a TV. The bathroom is combined with a bathroom, it had everything you need. Beds and towels were changed every day, as was cleaning. At the beginning, we thought that we didn’t guess the number correctly, but then it turned out that, on the contrary, in case of minor problems, we didn’t have to go to the reception through the entire hotel, the territory of which is simply huge. It took us about 5 minutes to walk to the sea. Next to us were 2 swimming pools, a water park.
I would like to note that there were many parents in the hotel with small children from 1 to 9 years old, who, during entertainment, arranged such an international cocktail among themselves. It was nice to see how we are all the same, despite the country of residence and the language of communication.
Maybe I will repeat myself, but the territory of the hotel is simply huge, and the absence of restrictions on movement by the territory of the neighboring hotel led to the fact that sometimes my wife and I got lost, whether we are on the territory of our hotel or the neighboring one. For a week of rest, we did not explore the entire territory.
The structure of the hotel includes three restaurants, we liked to eat on the second floor, where there was more choice of dishes. The quality of service is high, the staff is friendly and humorous. There are also many bars on the territory of the hotel, which simply cannot be described.
Something, I got carried away by the hotel, and completely forgot about why everyone aspires to this beautiful country, this is of course - the SEA !! ! Despite the fact that we were in Egypt at the end of December - beginning of January, the weather was just supppppppper!!!!! ! The air temperature during the day is about +27 degrees, at night + 15 degrees, the water temperature is + 25, my wife and I did not get out of the water for 2 hours. The corals on the beach of the hotel are very beautiful, and the fish are just a lot. Looking at all this beauty, we never ceased to be amazed at the creator - nature, which created all this miracle. In a word, we were in Paradise. In order to see all this beauty, you need a mask, snorkel and flippers, which can be bought on site.
The tour operator offers a huge excursion program, the price range is very wide, starting from the dolphinarium - 11 USD, ending with a walk on a yacht - 1300 USD. We visited Cairo and the pyramids, the cost is 150 USD. for two, excursion by bus. Despite all the difficulties, the tour began at 01.00 am and lasted 12 hours, what you see is worth it.
You can visit two places on your own: the first - Naama Bay (new city) - an entertainment center, discos, casinos, bars, but basically all vacationers go to buy souvenirs for loved ones, the second - Old Market (old city) - a bazaar, shops, cafes, but mostly they go to buy outlandish fruits and vegetables that grow in Egypt. From the hotel, according to the schedule, there is a minibus, but it’s easier to go outside the hotel gate and catch a taxi, we went to Naama Bay for 2 c. u. from the person there and so much, the same back. With taxi drivers, as with all Egyptians, you need to bargain, but this is a separate and very interesting topic. In short, the price must be lowered until it is not offensive to the seller and it is beneficial to the buyer, trade must be treated philosophically. We talked with the Egyptians, and they showed us by example that the same product can be sold from 5 USD to 25 Euro, and the product was an A4 photograph.
Among the souvenirs that tourists bring back to Ukraine are hookah, papyrus, key chains, arafatki, tobacco for hookahs, silk products.

The New Year's program was very rich, the buffet was bursting with various dishes and drinks, it all ended with a mass disco that lasted until 4 am. It was our best New Year in our lives, which we met under palm trees, near the warm sea in this hospitable country.
Then again there were the weekdays of a beach holiday.
