We go to Egypt on vacation every year and in different hotels. It may not be very good for someone, but this eastern country pulls me. We rested from the operator TEZTUR from August 6 to August 13.2012. family with two children aged 4 and 11.
We were already at the hotel from 8-00 in the morning. We were denied breakfast. Settlements waited until 14-00 (this is understandable - a civilized European country). We left our things at the reception and went to the beach. The beach is good, the entrance for children to the sea is wonderful. The pontoon is small plastic, but some sectors of the floor are broken, if you don’t notice, the leg can slip into the crack - a leg injury is guaranteed, at least a cut. Railings are missing in some places. The beach bar opened at 10:00. Beer was poured into plastic 150 gr. glasses and hot. But this is not the most important thing. Next was lunch. It must be seen, experienced and not cried. With two hungry children, we find ourselves in a crowded "restaurant". There are no seats. There are no dishes, spoons, forks. For all this, there are queues of 20 people per place, dishes. The restaurant staff takes out 10-20 plates, throws them on the first table and runs away so that they are not torn there. I managed to grab four plates and two forks the second time. But it wasn't a victory. There was still no food. I managed to scrape together undercooked potatoes and cold chicken from half-empty food stalls. When the woman answered my question “how can you relax like this”, that you should even forget about tea at breakfast. But there was a bar in the restaurant, though the counter and the floor next to it were filled with something sticky, probably from the last dinner. There were 30 people in line at the bar due to the lack of glasses. I snatched two glasses from the tray of the tableware clerk and bypassed the queue to fill them with hot whiskey at the bar.
After lunch, the long-awaited settlement was to come. Approaching the reception, I received a bag with the keys to the room, but when we were taken to the most remote building from the sea, my patience snapped. We realized that a survival vacation with two children for 8 days would simply be impossible. We refused to check into the room, returned to the reception and demanded that the representative of TEZTUR change the hotel. He, probably, seeing our condition, immediately phoned the office and, thanks to him very much, gave us a choice of two hotels. We chose Shores Amforas, paid extra $130, did not wait for the transfer, took a taxi for $10 and ran, galloped out of this wonderful "five". Then, seeing the normal abundance in the restaurant, the cleanliness, the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly faces of the attendants (perhaps in contrast to the previous hotel), I asked my wife for two more days, “What was it on the first day? Could it have been a dream? "

Dear vacationers, if you have planned a vacation in Continental Plaza, do not repeat the mistakes of those who read the reviews, did not believe them and finally went there on vacation (this is us). And if you have already booked a hotel, run to the travel agency, call the tour operator, demand a change in the hotel. Even with a small surcharge. We don't rest very often. I think it's possible.
