Just got back from Egypt. Before leaving, we read reviews and it was even scary to go, but tickets and a voucher for the hotel were in hand, the vacation began in a couple of days and we decided to take a chance. There were three of us: two adults and an 11 year old child. Arrived in Sharm at 7.30 am. The hotel was somewhere at 10.00. Settled in an hour and a half. The room, as they say here in the "Russian village", but I don't understand why it's "Russian", others (Ukrainians, Arabs, etc. ) also lived there. Standard room, with an extra bed. Only this is not a bed, but a wide folding bed with a mattress, which upset us very much, the boy is big, even though he is 11. We turned to the reception to change it to a normal bed. They said that by the evening everything will be done, but nothing has changed. I didn’t want to turn seven days of vacation into walking, so we decided to leave everything as it is and nothing, the child slept normally. Everything worked in the room: air conditioning, TV, taps, and a safe. The furniture is really old-fashioned simple. To the sea, from nothing to do, they counted the steps - 860, so not 1500 m, as they wrote here, but about 500, which did not bother us, I think that the movement, on the contrary, is even useful. Near the room there is a huge pool with a bar, they really pour it into plastic cups, but without restrictions. Behind the buildings is a water park, which is also very convenient for those who come with children. In the water park, an afternoon snack (burgers, french fries, etc. ) You can’t hear the animation noise, it’s quiet and calm. Animation was closer to the sea: 10.30 exercise-warm-up on the beach, 11.30 - water aerobics in the pool, children's disco in the evening. Our boy is already an adult, so he didn’t go dancing, but the small children were happy. And 21.30 evening show, we were 3 times: cobrashow, karaoke and folk dances. About nutrition. Before leaving, I bought all kinds of medicines, but they never came in handy. We ate at Panorama. You could always find something for yourself, to your taste. There was liver, and chicken, and beef (very tasty), rice, pasta, potatoes in different forms (for me, potatoes are not very good, but salt and pepper went), boiled, baked vegetables, fish, and once even mussels. We did not eat ready-made salads, we gathered vegetables and watered them ourselves either with sauce or oil. If something ended, it was necessary to wait a little and bring it again. For breakfast, among other things, eggs: boiled, fried, scrambled eggs. Very tasty pastries: buns, puffs, croissants, cakes, cakes. My husband even gained 2 kg and my son 1.5 kg. Fruits were also present: melons (albeit greenish, but soft, I was lucky, I love everything unripe), apples, oranges, grapefruit, hard dates, pears, and something else, like guava. I ate them every day. When there were a lot of people, there really weren’t enough appliances, and the tables were also cleaned slowly, there were some kind of lethargic waiters there. For the entire period, you can visit two restaurants, fish and barbecue, for free. I didn’t like the barbecue at all (the chicken is dry, the meat is flavored) and we went to “eat up” to a regular buffet restaurant))) The fish one is much better, but since the son does not like fish, then again, all roads led to Panorama)) )) I celebrated my birthday, so in the evening they brought a cake to our room, sang a song, I blew out the candle, a trifle but nice. Tea, coffee only in the morning, the rest of the time in the bar in the lobby. We went to the sea through it, so that was not a problem for us either. The sea is generally a fairy tale, you swim like in an aquarium. The beach is sandy, so many with small children. Arabs really also had a lot of rest, women bathed in special clothes, their religion is like that. It didn’t bother us at all, we need to respect other people. More outraged was the behavior of some Russians, who on the beach together occupied 4 sunbeds and covered everyone with obscenities. Our room was cleaned every day, the bed was changed 3-4 times in 7 days, towels every time I left them on the floor, although others said that I had to knock out both the cleaning and the towel. Apparently everything depends on people, we got a very good guy. In general, we had a very good rest and did not get hung up on trifles.
