And so, I will write a review about the Jaz Fanara hotel, where the tour operator Tui sent us. Travelers - 3 adults and a child 2 years old. First, about the tour operator. We paid for the Superior Family Room. With confidence that the room will be renovated, we were waiting for the start of the holiday. After reading the reviews about the hotel and about the terrible conditions in the rooms without repair, I also checked with the tour operator about the room. I asked if possible to change one family room to two Superior. I was told that there were no rooms available, but they assured me that the family room would definitely be renovated. It was reported that the travel agency wrote a letter to the host, to which they replied that the room would be renovated. The flight took place without delay, for which special thanks to UIA. Arrived in the morning, at the hotel, as expected, check-in at 14:00. At the reception they promised to check in from 12 to 13. We left our things, had breakfast, changed clothes and went to the sea. The entrance to the sea is good, sandy. But you need to look under your feet, there are places with dead corals. The beach is not very big, but there is enough space for everyone. The descent to the sea is large, but it did not interfere with the rest. Closer to 12 we went up to the reception and then an unpleasant surprise awaits us: the room is ready, but the Family Room is located in the residence, 15 minutes from the main building WITHOUT REPAIR!! ! And there are no Superior Family Rooms in the hotel at all! Good rooms are sold by Tui, aren't they? At the reception they say that the rooms are only like this, this conversation is over. I call the tour operator in Ukraine, he promises to contact the host and solve everything. Wait. . . No progress. And note this, we took the tour through the operator directly, so that everything would be reliable! The hotel does not have a representative of the tour operator. After long negotiations between the husband and the reception, they contacted the guide, they argued for a long time in Arabic over the phone. So we didn't agree on anything. The hotel claims that all rooms are occupied. After half an hour, our guide arrives, again they find out with the hotel in Arabic. And, of course, we didn't agree on anything. The guide showed a letter from the sending side, where he asks to change our Family room to two Superior rooms. To which the hotel replied that there were no rooms available. This ended the correspondence. How well the international company Tui works! Truth?
We went to look at the number: to say that I was shocked would be an understatement. We were in different countries, we are the third time in Egypt, but I have not seen this anywhere else. Thanks to the hotel, of course, for giving us the very first room from the reception, walk 5-7 minutes from the main building. But the number... a two-room suite, that's where its pluses ended. There are ants in the room of such a size that it seems they can take a child out of the room. There was no bed in the room. In the living room, if you can call this first room that way, there are two sofas of the 50s, narrow, on them you feel like in a reserved seat. The air conditioner is old, it worked only the first day, it “spits” with ice. The TV, however, is flat, under it the chest of drawers-bedside tables do not open, everything creaks, the light is only on the walls - half of the lamps, of course, do not work. Then you pass - the kitchen, the so-called faucet from the wall, the furniture is terrible, the refrigerator with ice that drips. Next is the bedroom, a small conor with a tiny window, little light. Bed linen with small but holes. The bathroom is tiny and shabby. Seeing my horror in the eyes, we were shown another number, which was even worse. The child is tired, our day is gone, all on the nerves, we returned to the first. There are two air conditioners, they work alternately. Either it's cold in the living room or it's cold in the bedroom. Or two went off. We asked at the reception to fix it, left a request, so no one came. A couple of times they asked the guy who cleans, he turned the machines on and off, for a while it worked. Imagine, 50 degrees of heat, without air conditioning. The remote control for two air conditioners is one, without a cover that closes the batteries. The hair dryer works for exactly a minute, rests for a minute. Dry your hair a whole quest. I always knew that hotels in Egypt do not correspond to their stars, but this disgrace with such numbers positions itself as 4+. And mind you, more expensive than 5*. The food is good. Animation at 0. Coral reef is good. In general, the hotel is not bad, the staff is good, especially in the restaurant. Dinner by the pool, over the sea - it's generally super! The chef was constantly walking and supervising everything. I can advise him only if there is 100% certainty that the room will be renovated.
