Vacationing in Egypt for the first time. We were at Jaz Fanara Resort from 23 to 29 November. The staff is polite and responsive. The overall impression is good, but there are comments. Even when purchasing the tour, we were recommended to take a Superior room. I don’t know how much worse the standard room is, but we are glad that we took an improved room, since it was not ideal either: the dust on the bedside tables was not wiped off for a couple of weeks, the doors to the toilet and the entrance are spattered with either salt or paint - they look very dirty . The doors to the closet were broken, there was a stain on the bedding even when you checked in. Windows and mirrors are dirty. To wash, hot water must be drained. Overall, not bad, but expectations were higher. From the good - very comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom.
Restaurant. There is a lot of food but a little monotonous, for example: stewed eggplants, boiled, baked, grilled - and so on with everything. Salads mixed with sausages, chicken fillet baked mixed with sausages... strange combinations. Cucumbers and tomatoes tasteless. Fish - frozen fillet of white fish either fried or baked. Once there were squids - tasteless. From meat there were cutlets or kebab from lamb or beef and beef stew with vegetables. Well, chicken meat in pieces, or fillets, or nuggets. Many delicious desserts, there were cereals and yoghurts. From fruits: apples, banana, pomegranate, melon, guava, grapes, dates. Cocktails at the bar - no complaints. Juices are diluted and very sweet. Beer is disgusting. Coffee is delicious only at the bar, in the restaurant - instant. We were not hungry - but I can’t even say that we ate deliciously. Of the good - insanely delicious feta and many types of bread.
The beach is small, but they always found a place for us to stay. There are free rentals of masks and fins. In general, the territory of the hotel and the beach are good. The sea is very beautiful, there are many fish and corals, but be sure to buy yourself slippers for swimming.
