We rested in the Lido at the end of October 2010. I really liked the hotel - everything is neat, clean, sleek. The rooms are good, the furniture is not old, there is a free safe. But you need to take into account one point: if you take a Superior room, then you will most likely be accommodated in the so-called stern (these are numbers 131-135.231-233.331-336), of which you can live only on the third floor, and most importantly - Huge air conditioners work behind all these rooms. The rumble is such that you will fall asleep!! ! And on the first and second floors there are also common terraces and go directly to these air conditioners. Therefore, book Superior Sea View rooms right away, they will not be moved to them later for any money (even if the hotel is half empty). Rooms are cleaned only if you hang a sign and do not forget about 2 pounds. They clean up well. The staff is English-speaking, but in the restaurant the waiters already understand a little Russian and can even say something... Breakfasts are normal, dinners are beyond praise: there is always something on the grill (meat, liver, chicken, fish, quail), everyone evening different cuisine, a sufficient choice of dishes, fruits, a lot of different sweets, drinks for dinner are paid (if not "ol inclusive"). In the evening, a lot of fish flock to the light of the lanterns - among others, we saw lionfish and several octopuses.
On the roof there is a nice little pool (albeit small), there is a jacuzzi. Private sandy beach, palm trees, umbrellas - cozy. For foreigners, the Egyptians take sunbeds, but you have to do it yourself and preferably up to eight hours, if you want next to the sea. Although if the sunbeds run out, then the staff will bring you plastic ones, so you can not bathe if you want. The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth starts after 20 meters. There is a small coral right there, but there are a lot of fish there, and if you take a bun with you, you will be the “king of the coral” - everything that is there will float to you. A little to the side, next to the blue bridge (ask there) there is a larger coral, it is more interesting there. The water in the bay is generally clean, sometimes there is a smell (from passing boats, but this is everywhere). Once, however, there was trouble. Some penguin apparently spilled gasoline from a boat - the stench was like at a gas station, and the entire surface of the water was in a film as thick as a little finger. We took a water bike and swam into the depths. And by the evening everything was already resolved somewhere. And on the beach of the Helnan Marina hotel they offer water aerobics, our women and girls really enjoyed it.
And the draft beer at the bar on the beach or by the pool is just a bomb!

And yes, I almost forgot. At the rental of water bikes, one such unpleasant apricot works. So it’s better not to take anything from him, his water bike is more expensive and quad bike safari offers more than in the city. And ham besides. I only regret that I didn’t snitch on the turnip right away...
Thank God, there is no animation - I can not stand it (once there was a girl with a belly dance). In general, the hotel is great. Next time if in Sharm, then only in Lido !!!
P. S. : This is my fourth time in Egypt and I have something to compare with.
