Hi all!
I am writing about everything in great detail, with only one goal - to help everyone to get the maximum information and, accordingly, not to make a mistake in choosing, but to fully enjoy the rest. Therefore, I immediately apologize for the perhaps too tedious and long story. I invite you to read those who want to find a good relaxing holiday in one of the best, in my opinion, Sharm hotels and enjoy the beautiful sea and fantastic corals.
Rest in Egypt in the middle of the summer, when in Ukraine the heat drives into refrigerated rooms or on the shore of a reservoir, and t in the shade goes off scale for 35 - only for great connoisseurs of Egypt and the Red Sea.

And although my wife and I do not consider ourselves passionate fans of the country of sands, pyramids and the Red Sea, nevertheless we chose Egypt, and since we wanted to fully enjoy the beauties of the Red Sea and treat ourselves a little to a slightly higher level of service than our traditional Crimean - we decided to go to Sharm. I sat on the Internet and made a selection of hotels that suited both my wife and me from the considerations that the hotel should be on the first line, quite calm and with a good reef. Puzzled several travel agencies and the result was not long in coming. There were some very good offers, but after reading reviews and comparing prices, we settled on Sofitel Sharm. There were no bad reviews about him, and what we saw in the photo suited us quite well. And the hotel gave a very good price - $ 770 for two for a week - for 5 stars - a very good price.
True, I will make a reservation, the hotel does not have the all-inclusive system familiar to our tourists. We only had breakfast. Since my wife and I practically do not speak English (we studied at the time of the scoop - she is French, I am German), my wife was afraid that there would be problems. However, the fears dissipated very quickly as soon as we got to the hotel. Firstly, it turned out that beautiful girls work in the hotel - ours, Ukrainians - at the reception - Liza and Marinka, and in the restaurant - Veronica. Many thanks to all of them! They helped at the first request! Still, during the rest, from time to time there are some questions, no matter what level of service the hotel has. Secondly, in such a heat as it was there these days, you don’t want to go anywhere from the sea or the pool! Is that - in the room - under the air conditioner.
Therefore, breakfast was enough for my wife until dinner, and I spent most days of my vacation scuba diving and we were fed delicious dinners on the ship. Thirdly, there are several restaurants on the territory of the hotel where you can choose lunch for every taste! True, here it will be a little expensive - for two, about $ 70-100. And finally - to the center of Naama Bay along the promenade along the hotels and beaches with a walking step of 25 minutes. And there is a sea of cafes and restaurants where you can find everything your heart desires! My wife and I have chosen VINO - excellent cuisine, the menu is in Russian, the senior waiter is just a sweetheart - poisons jokes in Russian, the atmosphere in the restaurant is just homely. In the same place we watched the matches of the final part of the World Cup. It is good to sit for two (again, without alcohol) there for $35-40.
A few lines about the flight and the settlement. The charter from Tez Tour from Dnepropetrovsk was delayed by 2.5 hours.

It turns out that the plane transports vacationers to Turkey in the morning, takes the group back, and only then makes a flight to Egypt. Accordingly, delays on flights and aircraft maintenance resulted in an almost three-hour tour of Dnepropetrovsk airport. (By the way, we flew to Egypt for the second time and the second time there were delays with the flight - here Tez Tour is clearly not working! ) In flight, the backlog was slightly reduced - we flew in 3 hours. Then Tez Tour excelled again - they drove to the hotel for an hour - although the road from the airport to the hotel, as it turned out, was 10 minutes! We were taken to other hotels, ours was the last one, so the little ones arrived at the hotel tired. The guide tried to be funny, but his day was probably not the best either - the jokes were very forced. Settled quickly - in 15 minutes. We were given a room on the 4th tier - not far from the reception - 3105. The room is excellent - plumbing, furniture, plasma TV. The view from the room is simply breathtaking!
You can also enter from the pontoon, but it is floating - 30 meters long and from it the depth is already about 5 meters. And the railing is not to the very end. It is mainly used for mooring boats. There are no steps there - it is more convenient to go ashore. On the far beach, which is located closer to the bay, there is a stationary pontoon with steps. But we never went there, it was 300.400 meters further for us. Near this beach there is a dive center. Diving (including equipment rental) costs, if I'm not mistaken, $ 40 or 45. But you will dive right there, from the shore. There is something to see there - corals and fish of indescribable beauty - everything must be seen (photos are attached), but I still dived with the Dolphin dive center, which is located in the center of Naama. There, the program is more interesting - diving from a boat on the best dive sites in Egypt - from the Ras Mohammed National Park to the reefs of Tirana and the canyons of Dahab. Russian guides and administration, good prices.
He also explained to me how to use it. I ignored his story because we had already used the safe in the previous room. But ...- it turned out that the safe was of a slightly different system than in our old room. In general, I did not cope with it. I called the reception again, after 5 minutes the same specialist came again and, smiling sweetly, showed me everything again. And so in everything - the staff is always ready to help you. As soon as we appeared in a restaurant, we always sat down at the same table - the waiter immediately brought and left the kettle and everything you need for tea. Note that we did not leave a tip - the staff is very well trained. And one more - the last - retreat. When we moved from room to room, I forgot the adapter from the charger to the camera in the outlet. I came to the reception, and Lisa had already changed. He explained his problem to the administrator-Arab on his fingers.
He said that he understood everything and asked to wait ten minutes in the room. After 10 minutes, they really brought me an adapter, but - the usual one - for the "euro". I, scolding myself that I had to learn English, again went to the reception and began to explain that I need my adapter, since it is specific - especially for the Canon charger. I don’t know how it would have ended, but then Marina approached us - she had just taken over for a shift and immediately figured out everything and offered me to go to our old room - it had not yet been settled. But there was no adapter in the room - they had already removed it. Marinka immediately reassured me - it turns out that all the things forgotten by vacationers are stored in a special “room of forgotten things”, which I was incredibly pleased with when I received an adapter. After all, a vacation without a camera is like an excursion without a guide - I saw a lot, but nothing was deposited in my head!

I promised Marinka to post photos along with the story (Marinochka, I keep my promise! ).
When I returned to the hotel from the dive center, it was usually at 16.30-17.00 we went to the beach - to dive on the local reef, to watch the vacationers. By the way, there were few vacationers - all the beaches, except for the central one, which we went to, were practically empty. A couple of Italians often stopped next to us under umbrellas, my wife even learned a few greetings in Italian, there were several English-speaking, Germans, and that’s all, we almost never saw our compatriots. At 19.00 we moved from the beach to the pool - 30-40 minutes splashed there. Still, you can’t frolic much in the sea - corals are everywhere, and in the pool - you are welcome to dive and play water polo. True, the company never gathered for a game. Or maybe I'm just unlucky.
After diving and swimming, we went from the pool to the room, took a shower, then we put on evening dresses and stomped into the city. It is more or less comfortable to go to the city only after 20.00, when the sun was falling behind the mountains and you could walk along the promenade contemplating the vacationers of other hotels and local residents. The “paparazzi” virus visited my wife - she suddenly became preoccupied with the rights of women in the East, having watched how they walk, wrapped from head to toe in black outfits, when we are languishing almost in unsightly from the heat. Or, like them, the “poor things” swim in the sea or in the pool - in a bathing suit that is not much different from their everyday clothes ...Naturally, she needed to capture all this in a photo. By the way, when we got home, we watched several films about local customs, rights and obligations of Muslim women and men.
And my wife concluded that they do not live so badly, especially compared to ours - Russians and Ukrainians, who received equal rights with men and the priority right to lay sleepers and rails, as well as asphalt laying ...

Sorry. -again Ostap suffered; By the way, at the exit and entrance to the territory of the hotel, you will definitely be stopped by security - strangers are not allowed into the territory. And then - along the promenade as if at a carnival. Everywhere the atmosphere of fun and relaxation. Throughout the walk to the center of Naama Bay, passing along hotels and restaurants, you observe how people relax and have fun in different ways: someone in discos, someone in hookah bars, animators amuse the kids, someone likes to sit with a glass of cold beer at the TV screen - in most bars, plasmas are installed, mostly people savored the matches of the World Cup.
Approximately the same picture is in Naama Bay: everywhere the sellers are riveted to TV screens, but as soon as you come closer or just stop, then all the attention is on you and they will try to convince you that it is here that the best souvenirs at the lowest prices. And as soon as you show the slightest interest, prices will begin to melt - "well, only for you"! Well, if you really look after something for yourself, be sure to bargain (but with a smile and friendly), believe me - in most cases you will lose more than half of the price declared at the beginning. True, they will groan and clutch their heads with their hands - "they gave it away almost at a loss to themselves. " You should not be tormented by remorse - they will never be left without a profit. Next to the VINO restaurant is Duty Free, where you can skimp with your passport within 2 days after arrival. Basically, they buy alcohol there, they say it’s cheaper there, and the quality can’t be compared with local drinks.
But we were not interested in alcohol and we did not go there. Also nearby are currency exchange offices (the rate was 5.67 pounds per dollar), the Dolphin dive center, which I mentioned above, several supermarkets where you can find almost everything - from drinks and seafood to gold and silver products. Water and drinks here are significantly (2-3 times) cheaper than in a hotel. It is also better to choose souvenirs here. Although, they say, in the Old City the prices are even lower, - I don’t know, - we didn’t go.
We usually returned to the hotel around 12 at night, sometimes later. Along the promenade - fun was seething everywhere - discos, contests, hookah incense. Who loves a fun nightlife - it's full here! The biggest disco PASHA - thunders until the morning. But when you go to Sofitel, you find yourself in another realm. It is the most remote of the hotels in the bay from the center of Naama. Here everything is quiet and measured.

A beautiful, well-groomed area illuminated by spotlights, palm trees, a swimming pool - at the same time create an atmosphere of home comfort and some kind of surreal, unreal world in which you want to stay more and more.
Finally, summing up, the main shortcomings that I would like to draw your attention to as well as the attention of the administration:
- the beach is fenced with buoys, but, nevertheless - boats with a transparent bottom, riding tourists from all over Naama Bay, come almost close to them - they show the beauty of the reefs located near the beach, while the smell of diesel fuel from the engines is quite decently felt on the beach - buoys can be it would be rendered a little further from the beach;
- eating according to the "breakfast only" system, despite the rather large selection of dishes, we were somewhat disappointed with the scarcity of meat dishes offered for breakfast - the meat and chicken sausages that were offered to us would hardly have been to the taste even of our cats and mongrels.
Unconditional pluses - of course, a chic reef with a lot of fish, beaches - only for vacationers in Sofitel, a comfortable pool with different depths (from 1.4 to 2 m), a clean, well-groomed area that is not allowed to outsiders, excellent rooms - all with a view on the sea, with good furniture, plumbing, TV, but most importantly - polite staff, which is almost invisible, but at the same time tries to create an atmosphere of an unforgettable vacation for you.

Well, and something that does not depend on the administration - walking in the evening along a fantastically beautiful territory and enjoying the silence and beauty of the night sea, bays, somehow knock out the landing planes from this state of unearthly bliss. But there's really nothing to be done - when you land in Sharm El Sheikh, you will see through the windows that the planes are landing from the side of the Old City and descending to the airport along the coastal strip - right above the hotels - starting from the Iberotel Palas in the Old City and finishing first in the ranking of hotels in Sharm - Four Seasons. And they take off - in the other direction - from the Baron Resort and ending with the Royal Albatros Moderna.
I don't write anything about animation. To be honest, we were not interested, sometimes walking along the promenade towards Naama, we watched some musical events on the shore near the far beach - whether discos, or competitions, I don’t know.
But, I think for young people, hotels closer to the center of Naama Bay would still be more interesting. I repeat once again - Sofitel - for lovers of a relaxing holiday. For vacationers with children there is a playground and a children's pool with slides, but that's all.
We really liked it here! Well, the choice is yours! Have a good rest! And with pleasure I will answer all questions - here, on TurPravda
