Based on the high rating of the Nubian Island hotel, good reviews, we chose it. We rested in late February - early March 2018 (2 weeks). We have been to more than 15 hotels in Egypt, but this hotel has an overwhelming number of minuses. See photo report.

1. The territory of the hotel. The hotel is located near the airport, planes fly directly overhead (photo attached). On the beach you can see the plane up close, the noise of the engine is terrifying. The room has a feeling that you live on the runway, planes often fly at night. The road to the beach is very long! The main buildings are located near the reception, it is not easy to get to the beach in the sun. There are simply no shady alleys in the hotel! The whole area is in the winding paths between the houses. This took me by surprise. Every day at 18:00 mosquitoes are poisoned with a terrible smoke that wraps up the territory, penetrates into the room through the cracks, while mosquitoes remain in the full room (photo attached).

Never before have I seen (and did not delve into) how they treat the territory of the hotel from mosquitoes. Wifi is weak.

2. Beach. Attaching photo. Every day the sea left in the morning and came to 17:00, when it was getting dark on the beach. If you plan to swim from the shore, then you will have at your disposal a couple of knee-deep puddles between corals. Sea view: stinking coral all the way to the pontoon, the feeling of a swamp. Coral (from the pontoon) is very poor, the underwater world is sad. The beach is located in a bay, to go down and up you need to overcome a lot of steps. There is no toilet on the beach (located by the pool on the third tier, again steps). The beach chairs are old. Umbrellas create diffused sunlight, because they are made of material in a hole, you will not find those full shadows on the beach. There is 1 dressing room, in which, judging by the smell, someone goes to the toilet. Many vacationers on the beach from the Nubian Village hotel (apparently their beach is even worse).
3. Numbers. The room was in a 3 storey building.
The furniture is shabby, the shower switches very hard and strange (you can be left without nails). The kettle in the room didn't work but was replaced. There is no water in the room, you must carry it from the canteens, where they give out 1 bottle of 0.6 for two. The rest of the water must be begged for.
4. Nutrition. The only plus of the hotel is delicious food, everything is edible.
5. Tez Tour. We booked a Round Trip Private Airport Transfer from our company Tez Tour. The cost was about $ 100, on the way back they did not take into account our composition and luggage, sending a car in which the luggage was in the front seat, and the Tex Tour representative simply did not fit in the car and stayed at the hotel. It takes 10 minutes to get to the airport, having paid that kind of money, we counted on comfort and attention. I think a taxi would be much cheaper.
6. Reception. The reception was badly received. We were the only ones arriving this evening, the room was prepared on the 1st floor.

We asked for a room on the 2nd floor, because we don’t like it when any passer-by can come to your balcony. The balconies of the first floors are not fenced. At the reception they were very angry at our request and settled us with a stroller on the 3rd floor, as we later realized, to make fun of us, because on the 2nd floor almost all the rooms were empty. We waited for the room for about 30 minutes. We were settled by a Russian-speaking girl, not very hospitable and vengeful.
