VIDEO REVIEW OF THE HOTEL: filmed by my daughter for her vlog - https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=2Ts7OCKWVJA.
10th time in Egypt, so we knew what to expect from the service in Egypt.
PROS OF THE HOTEL: location, 3 fairly large pools, good reef, good food, variety of fruits, cleanliness of the hotel, good housekeeping.
MINUSES OF THE HOTEL: the hotel is overcrowded, 99% of compatriots, which does not affect the rest in the best way : -)
Now more.
TOUR OPERATOR: JOYCE Tour. We were taken to the hotel, escorted to the reception. The next day, we met with the guide, filled out the forms, listened to suggestions for excursions. We took one to the island of Tiran, which is located directly opposite the hotel. As a result, you are taken 30 minutes to the boat and you swim back for 2 hours, almost to the hotel : -)

You will not get to the island itself at all (as it turned out already on the ship, Tiran belongs to Saudi Arabia). We swam on the reefs near the island, the reefs are ordinary. There was a company with us on the ship, who were supposed to sail to Ras Muhamed (that is, in the other direction), as a result they went with us.
On the ship we were told that we would swim next to the "wreck". In fact, they swam "side by side" through a whole reef with a half-rotted cargo ship that landed on this reef.
They didn’t swim to the cargo ship itself, the wave...
On the way back we met a flock of dolphins, the captain was able to quietly come close to them.
CHECK IN: we arrived at the hotel at 19:30, settled in Nubian Village (now these 2 hotels work as one, the separation is absolutely conditional) in a newly renovated building next to the pool under construction.
The room is brand new, spacious, new furniture, everything worked. A little unclear is the large window to the bathroom from the side of the bedroom. The hotel is clearly not a youth, a lot of families with children.
The construction under the windows practically did not interfere, only the last 4 days were actively working as a grinder during the day, it was noisy.
CLEANING: Room cleaning is excellent. Towels (both beach and bathroom) and bed linen changed upon request. A couple of times I gave $ 2 to the cleaner, although he tried without a tip.
CLEANING OF THE TERRITORY: good, the territory is clean, taking into account the number of people, even very clean, the beach is cleaned in the morning.
LOCATION OF THE HOTEL: good, opposite shops where you can buy almost everything in the center of Sharm and for the same money.
SEA: the sea is warm at the end of August. The hotel has a good coral reef, entry from a pontoon, a depth of 30 meters at once. If you swim well, then sail immediately to the left or right.
We swam to the left to the pier of the neighboring hotel, there is never anyone there and you can see big fish there. Often there is a red flag on the pier, strong waves. Especially in the morning.
There are lagoons near the coast with a sandy bottom, but there it is quite shallow. I am knee-deep (height 186) at low tide. 2 times there was a very strong tide and the depth was waist-deep.
Suitable for very young children.

POOL: 3 pieces worked, not bad.
AQUAPARK: 3 slides, quite large. special mats for driving. There are not many people.
SUNLOCKERS: due to the fact that the hotels are narrow, the beach is also quite narrow and the sunbeds are in 4-6 rows. And very tight (hello coronavirus). But the compatriots who kill the most are those who occupy the first 2 lanes of sun loungers at 6 in the morning, although it is clearly written on the stands that this is prohibited.
The penultimate day was even a showdown on the beach because of the sun loungers, with shouting and obscenities at the entire hotel, it almost came to a fight.
We did not take sun loungers, there were always free ones, even if we arrived late, but not the first 2 lines, but it's not scary.
FOOD: I was pleasantly surprised, we have not seen this in hotels of a higher price category. Varied, well prepared food. Grill for dinner is always at the restaurant by the sea (Nubian Vilage), grill for lunch at the Barracuda restaurant. Good soups, especially with seafood.
Meat 3-4 kinds every day (chicken, lamb, beef, turkey... ), fish - pangasius every day, 3-4 times there were other fish. Every other day, seafood (shrimp, crabs, squid with grilled vegetables, mussels, salads with seafood).
A wide variety of fruits: mango every other day, eat as much as you like (life hack, come to the end of dinner and you will be cut a whole mango into one), apples, pears, bananas (small and very tasty), fresh figs, melon (ripe and sweet), dates ( ripe), oranges, grapes.
Disappointed by the lack of fresh juices, even for money : -(
Ice cream every day, no limits.
DRINKS: standard UPI juices, cola, sprite, fanta, bottled beer (which was good), the quality is normal. Wine from packages, but tastes good.
If you want good coffee, then go to a lobby bar or a beach bar and ask for coffee to be made in a normal coffee machine, not from a machine.

HOTEL LOADING: The hotel was packed, although before leaving we were assured that the occupancy was not more than 50% due to the coronavirus, and this was felt on the beach and at dinner. For the first time we meet that tables at dinner were occupied in advance! He didn’t just come, threw his cap and went to collect, but took several hours, especially tables overlooking the sea.
Sometimes you come to dinner, the tables are occupied, you leave after dinner, the tables are still occupied with the same things...
It also killed the constant shifting of tables, because "we are a group of 15-20 people. " As a result, you have dinner, and tables are being dragged around you...
Nearby hotels were almost empty : -)
DIVING: diving from the hotel, the diving itself is so-so, the reef is exactly the same as just snorkeling, nothing new. The only thing the photographer has is high-quality equipment and he took good pictures.
SERVICE: service is not bad, cleaning, bar service is good. The only thing we encountered in the main restaurant was that the waiter serving drinks was trying not to notice you, and when they made a remark, he was also offended.
ANIMATION: standard Egyptian. The beginning of the show is constantly delayed. Once there was a foamy disco in the afternoon in the pool, I liked it, there would be more such entertainment.
SUMMARY: the hotel is not bad, it is not clear why it is divided into 2 parts (island and vilage). It is overpopulated with compatriots who often do not know how to behave, make noise, thump from morning until evening, take sunbeds on the beach and tables for dinner, climb with their feet on corals. A lot of frankly small children (up to a year old) and children in principle. Therefore, if you do not like constant fuss, then it is better to look at something else.
