I just returned from vacation and with the freshest memories I can share an objective opinion with you. We flew with my husband and my mother. The flight was early, so we arrived at the hotel around 8-9 am local time. They didn’t put on our bracelets right away (only at 10) and didn’t let us have breakfast (they explained, like “not allowed”). Okay, we decided to just wait.
Hotel: The hotel itself is far from new, as tour operators sell it. Two years ago it was resold, renamed and positioned as new. The hotel has a small lobby with a reception, a bar is present here, but it only works from 11 am, as well as a bar by the pool. On the territory there is a separate building of the restaurant and there is also a restaurant a la carte - Italian (1 time during the rest you can visit for free). There is a large swimming pool (not heated in winter). And also a small shop with good prices.
Room: in order to get a room before the check-in time, you will be offered to pay $20, and to prevent the windows of this room from overlooking the construction site and the trash can - another $4 per day. We discussed and talked for a long time, and in the end we bargained for $20/room for everything. We were immediately shown large spacious rooms with a good view of the pool and settled quite calmly (before that they claimed that there were no rooms at all).

We lived on the 3rd floor in neighboring rooms 4210 and 4208.
The room has a large bed, bedside tables, large mirrors, a table, a lot of lamps. Central air conditioner. TV (no Russian channels). Kettle (but without everything - without tea, coffee, sugar). Refrigerator (empty), no one brings water to the room, you need to take it yourself at the bar at the reception. The balcony doors do not fit snugly against each other and at night you can clearly hear noisy neighbors (we saved ourselves with the air conditioning on). In the bathroom there are towels (not always clean), a hairdryer (does not dry well), a shower (water does not flow well and often takes a long time due to not very good drainage).
Of the pros: the room is really big, the bed is soft and comfortable, the linen is clean (the star is changed only once a day).
Room cleaning: for the first time in Egypt, we were not made figurines from towels : ) This is not scary, rather unusual. Tipping does not affect cleaning in any way, it is done superficially. Basically they just take out the trash, make the bed and hang towels.
Food: It seems that in Egypt, and especially in Sharm, a sharp and austerity regime is included. The food is normal, you can always find something, but if you have been to other hotels (in Hurghada, for example), it will seem very poor. The garnish is mainly pasta, rice (sometimes there was potatoes). Fruits - dates and guava, sometimes pomegranate seeds. There is always only one soup (no choice). Very scarce.
Were in an Italian restaurant - there is a little better food, but not much.
Alcohol and drinks: as already mentioned, you need to take the water yourself at the bar. They save a lot on alcohol, they can say that it’s over and send them for a walk. The bartender can safely leave the bar full of people and go to lunch for an hour. We drank mostly beer there. Buy a strong one in a dutik and take it with you.

Service: this is the biggest problem of the hotel. Our tourists are not much favored, although none of the tourists is rude, does not swear, everyone is friendly and in a good mood.
The beach: that's another story! From the hotel you can get to 3 beaches. The first sandy one in the bay - a bus takes you there free of charge from the hotel 3 times a day. But: there are not enough seats on the bus for all tourists, and then either walk (10-15 minutes), or take a taxi for $ 1. The nuance of the beach is that there is no open sea, so tourists call it a “swamp” behind their backs. But it is free, sandy and not far away. There is a bar on this beach - but except for water, everything is paid. Beer $4, for example.
The second beach is reef beach! It is already without a smooth descent (pontoon) and immediately with depth. It is paid (entrance $ 1, you need to buy a ticket at the reception), only by taxi - $ 2. But there is where to swim and see the fish, because there is a reef.
The third beach is Farsha beach. There are two in one, a sandy smooth entry and reefs, where a huge number of fish swim. There are very beautiful views. Nuances: you can only get there by taxi (on foot far), it costs $ 2. But with the entrance, how lucky, before us, tourists paid $ 3 per person for admission, they let us in for free all week and only on the last day they said that the rules had changed and now you have to pay $ 1 per person. You need to go down to the beach (and back, respectively climb) up the many stairs. There is a paid bar - beer 3$, sandwiches - from 3$ (the Ukrainian girl cooks and makes it very tasty). There is little space on the beach (each hotel has its own small territory), but they give mattresses, sun loungers (unless, of course, there is a piece of land where to put them).
Excursions: of course, the first thing the hotel guide did was sell excursions, but they are insanely expensive, so we bought a 6 in 1 excursion on the beach. And to be honest, it became a pity for the money spent on previous trips when we bought excursions at the hotel (were led to divorce guides).

The tour included a visit to the canyon, quad biking, camel riding, a sightseeing tour in Dahab, swimming (snorkeling) and a visit to the Blue Hole nature reserve. We went perfectly, the bus is good, the guide is also a good guy. Of course, there are nuances in the reserve - for example, a paid toilet, swimming equipment for an additional fee, a restaurant and lunch in the "caravanserai" style, but in general we were satisfied. The tour cost us $ 25, the hotel guide cost the same $ 85.
Shopping and walking: I strongly advise you not to be lazy and go to the old city to the mosque (it costs $ 2 by taxi). There you can take a walk, buy fruits (strawberries, pomegranates, kumquats for $1, mango from $3), walk around the shops (bargain mercilessly, prices are well off), eat seafood in cafes (they often write about the Fares restaurant, it is very popular among tourists and costs accordingly), you can safely look out for a cafe where there are a lot of tourists, choose for yourself what you will eat from seafood and you will immediately be announced the price. We ate shrimp in a cafe 1.5 kg for $16.
Shop in the hotel: The hotel has a shop and there is a great cheerful owner. He has very good and low prices, you can not even bargain. We bought glasses for $3, corals for $4, there are Turkish delight and halva for $1, magnets - 3 pieces for $1, a full-face swimming mask - $16, and a standard one with a snorkel for $7.
Weather: on the first day we were not lucky with the weather, it was raining unusual for Egypt and it was very cloudy. The rest of the days the weather was excellent, sunny, we swam in the sea all the time and there was no strong wind.
Animation Entertainment: it is in the hotel. In the evenings, an animator in a banana costume gathers children for a children's disco. And then they do a show for adults - it was Fiery, one evening of karaoke, Miss Hotel (the animator dressed as Marilyn Monroe was the most burned out - the man just burned it! It was funny).
At lunch, people are gathered by the pool for yoga.
In general, we were satisfied with the rest, of course, we made a discount on the Egyptian flavor, the atmosphere in Sharm and the star rating of the hotel.
I hope this review will be useful for you when choosing a hotel for your holiday.
