Rested with my husband in HILTON DREAMS from 25.04 to 05.05. 2010, in Egypt for the third time. After reading the negative reviews, I went to the hotel with a very pessimistic attitude. But fortunately, nothing bad from the reviews was confirmed and we rested just great. This is a hotel of a very decent standard, but it is designed for a comfortable relaxing holiday, there is nothing to do there for lovers of heavy booze and noisy animation.
In the reviews they write a lot about the settlement in distant buildings. Don't dwell on it. Walk even from the most distant buildings to the reception for 4 minutes, to the beach 7-10 minutes. And the territory is so beautiful and well-groomed that you will get only pleasure from this road. We lived in building 6, we had a very nice room on the first floor with a terrace that went directly to a small pool. It was such a thrill to dive straight out of bed into the pool in the morning. . . Everything is provided for a quality rest in the room: good lighting, very good air conditioning, a kettle with a set of tea and coffee, an ironing board with an iron, a TV with two Russian channels, a hair dryer, shampoos, electronic safe (ask the porter to show you how it closes right away). So that later there will be no misunderstandings, the minibar must be abandoned immediately upon settlement (its inventory with prices is on it). The room was cleaned every day, and, which is especially pleasant, we did not see our cleaner. When they came from the beach, everything was already perfectly cleaned, towels and linen were clean. Every day, the worker brought two free one and a half liter bottles of water to the room and, if necessary, replenished tea and coffee. In general, I would say that the staff is unobtrusive, inconspicuous, but they perform their duties perfectly.
We didn't see anything bad in the restaurant either. The hotel has a very convenient diet, designed for any mode of life: breakfast starts at 6.30 am and dinner ends at 22.30 pm. Since we arrived at the beginning of lunch and dinner, there were no queues yet. The food is standard for Egypt, but very tasty and fresh. In the morning, freshly squeezed carrot juice is made. All non-alcoholic drinks: tea, coffee, juices in the restaurant are freely available and unlimited. You need to order from the waiter, if you want, only wine or beer. We did not notice discrimination against ourselves, the waiters are all young guys, very friendly, because we always sat at the same table, the next day they were the first to greet us, smile, bring orders quickly. Sometimes they ask you to sign the bill for alcohol, don't be alarmed, this is for their accountability. There must be a specific dress code for dinner, meaning men are asked not to come in shorts. By the way, at the entrance to the restaurant, next to the administrator, there is a counter with an entertainment program for every day. There is practically no animation there, but every day in the Caribi bar (on the street) at half past nine or ten there is some kind of small concert or something else. Drinks are still available all day at the bar in the main pool and in the Caribi bar, but we only drank juice there, so I can’t say anything about alcohol and free hookah, people drank and smoked.

The Hilton beach is really the best and largest in Naama Bay (about 200 mushrooms). But, since the hotel is full to the limit, you need to borrow sun loungers in the morning. And keep in mind that usually the beach security takes the first row by the sea for Westerners who pay him. Beach towels are issued right on the beach, you do not need to carry them from the pools. There is a changing room on the beach, but very far from the entrance, where the massage is, there are many showers. If you need to change clothes, then this can be done in the toilet of the Hilton Fairows hotel, you go past it to the beach, there you will see a sign on the wall. The entrance to the beach is sandy, special shoes are not needed. Very beautiful reefs and fish, you don’t need to bring a mask and snorkel with you, they are sold in a supermarket on site for 75 pounds (1 pound is about 5 rubles, 1 dollar is 5.5 pounds, a bank exchanger is right behind the reception).
Getting to the beach across the highway is no problem at all, because there are speed bumps and, in addition, a special boy is on duty from early morning until late at night, who stops cars and takes everyone across the road. There is no free bar on the beach, so take some water with you.
In the evenings, we usually walked along the promenade (this is the embankment) to the center, where there are a lot of shops, discos, cafes, 8-10 minutes walk, so do not try to take a taxi.
Souvenirs can be bought anywhere, but my favorite was the supermarket (I think Zaza) at the end of the promenade, not far from the Naama Bay casino, there are very low fixed prices written on each product (cups 15-20 pounds, t-shirts -25, wallets -15 ), no need to ask anyone and bargain. You can go to the old city to the OLD MARKET market, but bargain there. It is best to take the blue minibus, stop it right next to the hotel, say Old Market, the fare costs 1 pound per person. You are also going back, but say Naama bay. You can also take a taxi, but it will be 15-20 pounds one way.
I wish you all a great holiday and mood.
