I generally never write reviews, but here God himself ordered...
On May 5, we arrived in Egypt at the Palm Royal Soma Bey hotel, which is 50 km from Hurghada airport. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days and did not go anywhere.
The hotel is not bad. Everything in marble, statues, fountains, children's disco, modest animation (beach entertainment, yoga, evening show - all on your own), a gorgeous beach (clear water, picturesque palm trees, wicker sun loungers, no fish) you can’t imagine better for children... There is no youth almost. Evening disco is always empty (although very nicely decorated). For lovers of kite surfing, a paradise (behind the hotel there is a special shallow place for learning to kite). Only very expensive 1 lesson 85 euros. 5 lessons 230 euros (for one they won’t teach for sure, ) I caught fire at first and then changed my mind about even trying. Hundreds of athletes at the sports base next to the hotel. Everything is clean on the territory, only now I freaked out and washed the floor in the room and on the balcony with a local foot towel, so it smoothly turned from white to black. They will find it hidden behind a curtain later))) the food is tolerable . . on the first day I didn’t like it at all, but then we figured out that it was delicious and everything was OK. of the proposed entertainment, they rode a camel, sang karaoke (antediluvian), rode around the hotel on a quad bike - class, volleyball, table tennis, massages (I personally didn’t like it), and everything seems to be. For the sake of the beach, in general, we went, BUT !!!

As soon as we (together with godfathers 5 adults and 3 children - 2 years old, 2 years old, 6 years old) arrived at the hotel, on the first day we were approached by a girl advertising a photo shoot on the beach and warned that many young children and adults were hard getting poisoned or catching an infection at the Palm Royal Soma Bay hotel, this is what she advised:
- Do not swim in the pool!
- do not eat salads (vegetables are washed with local water)!!!
- do not drink local hibiscus!! ! (from local water)
- brush your teeth only with bottled water!!!
We were worried, but there was nowhere to go, and with caution and observing the rules, we continued our vacation, and it seemed that the whole vacation had passed, BUT !!!
On the last 10th day of my godfather, the son began to vomit (2 years). Vomiting was repeated every 15 minutes. The child drooped in front of his eyes, fell ill, stopped talking, turned white. We went to a local doctor (a hotel of this level has its own doctor for insurance for free). The doctor said that there are more than 12 children in the hotel with the same symptoms, all babies. Older children and adults are not as severely ill, she added. They only have diarrhea and fever for 1-3 days, and only vomit a couple of times. This information and the calmness of the doctor surprised us greatly. The child was given an antiemetic injection, which did not help.
We were told that all children come with the same diagnosis. The sick child was taken to Kyiv. The road was just a test, you know...
After 2 days already in Kyiv, my youngest son, 2 years old, showed the same symptoms as the godfather's child. At 3 o'clock in the morning, after vomiting, diarrhea and a high temperature, he and his wife were taken to the 2nd infectious department at Alisher Novoi 3.
We fed the child with fluids in consultation with our attending physicians, but to no avail. The doctor gave antiemetic injections + antibiotic, but nothing helped. The temperature rose to 39.5 and antipyretic suppositories did not help, neither nurofen nor panadol. For some reason they did not put droppers. After 2 days, I had to take the child home with a diagnosis of a rotovirus infection, and with the help of a doctor from Akhmadet, pull it out with droppers at home.

At this time, Salmonella was sown in the child's godfather !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! - a terrible disease, I don’t want to intimidate everyone, you can read about the disease on the Internet, who are interested....With apprehension we are waiting for our tank-sowing (sowing for several days), I hope that the diagnosis will not change with us. It's just a miracle that we are in the hotel, like many other children did not get sick!! ! And they brought the virus and it developed already in Kyiv. (The incubation period is 3-5 days when the virus enters the body). The fact that this is a virus from us from the hotel there is not a single doubt, neither we nor the doctors. It seems that trouble did not touch my eldest child... I keep my fists.
For two and a half days my son was on a drip in a serious condition. The temperature subsided only 5 hours after the start of treatment. He didn't eat for 3 days. The vomiting did not stop for another two days, and then a terrible, bright green diarrhea began.
Now we have vowed not to travel with children to Egypt, Turkey, etc. It is clear why. Although it’s not clear where to go now... Draw your own conclusions!
