We were in Egypt for the first time, a lot of positive emotions! We went together with my husband, but the whole vacation I regretted that I did not take my eldest 9-year-old daughter, she would have liked it no less. Regarding all the bad reviews about the hotel, my husband and I decided that people just, apparently, want to go there themselves, and are trying to "throw off" possible competitors. Because the hotel is fully consistent with its 4 *. You drive, you drive through the desert - and suddenly you find yourself in a flowering oasis, where a fountain-pool-sea is very competently cascaded, such beautiful photos are obtained there!
We were given a room right away (we arrived around 18-00), on the ground floor, which we were very happy about, as we took a windsurf with us, it was very convenient to take it out of the balcony-terrace, and not drag it up the stairs. The porter was given a dollar, he didn't like it too much, judging by his face, but he left.
Most of the staff speaks Russian (except for a very intelligent doctor, who has perfect English), everyone will say hello, smile, ask how you are. Tireless gardeners take care of the garden all day long. The cleaner was left twice a dollar, so before and after every day he left compositions from towels, he wore water once a day around 16-00 - like clockwork. If you don't open it, you'll leave it at the door. Change beach towels at least three times a day - all with smiles, for free.

The pool is huge, clean, not crowded (and there were almost always free sunbeds on the sea, no matter how you come), where the people dissolve there - we still didn’t understand, but you bump into people en masse only in the dining room. And then - come to lunch, dinner half an hour later than the start - and it will be free, and after an hour - empty, and there is enough food for everyone. The food is different, they didn’t leave hungry, there was always a choice of meat and fish, they always took a portion from the grill, they fried mussels, and crabs, and squids. They give a little from the grill, but you can come up and take it again.
Desserts are worse than in Turkey, but the choice is rich - everyone will find something to their taste.
Alcohol is of poor quality, but we only heard this from other vacationers, we don’t drink it ourselves. They said that beer (and coffee, by the way) is good in a bar near the dining room - bottled. The rest is diluted, like other types of alcohol. Despite this (and the heat), people drink like horses. I can associate any unpleasant emotions only with my compatriots. And other pearls in the same vein - after the beach, wash your legs not in the shower (of which there are two on the way to the hotel), but in the common pool. Therefore, gentlemen, Russians, no matter what they lie about the Arabs, the pigs are us. We did not lock the balcony (it was more convenient and closer to enter the room from it), no one ever touched anything. Slippers, fins, masks, swimsuits were always dry there, everything was also intact. There is a free safe in the room, the most valuable thing is worth putting there, of course.
We were not on excursions, we just wanted to enjoy the most wonderful sea for the first time. We didn’t even expect such beauty, we were glad that we took masks, snorkels and fins with us, there is an expensive store in the hotel. After a couple of days, we found fellow travelers, went to Nuweiba, it is 15 km away. There is a market with a good selection of souvenirs, everything is much cheaper. Of course, you have to bargain. I took coral slippers there for $2 (at the hotel - $7), T-shirts also cost two dollars with Egyptian drawings, and magnets cost 30-50 cents. Grenades for 1-2 dollars per kilogram, grenades are excellent, we scored home. The Bedouins drive there in their cars, they charge three dollars per person.
In the sea, until they got used to it, they entered from the pontoon - it’s convenient,

on the right immediately begins the coral reef. But the pontoon is also dirty, there is garbage and dead algae. If you move away from the sunbeds 100 meters to the right, you can go into the sea, there is even sand in many places, and where there are colonies of hedgehogs, you are already swimming with a mask - you see everything. The husband stepped on the hedgehog, after a couple of days the needles came out on their own. But when he unsuccessfully jumped off the sailboat onto the coral, his leg did not heal on its own, and a visit to the doctor was required. It's included in insurance cases, so everything was free. It is better to go to the doctor with this right away, otherwise the uncleaned wound will fester - there are a lot of organic residues on the corals. And contrary to popular belief, the sea itself will not cure anything.
We were at the end of October, the sea was perfectly warm, the water was clear and blue-blue, and for the first time all this marine fauna is simply amazing. Quite a few saw poisonous lionfish (or zebra fish), saw a stingray, but the fish themselves kept their distance. Note the large number of sea anemones with clownfish. They protect their anemones so touchingly!
Those who swim badly took lifebuoys on the pontoon, put on masks - and so they swam along the reef. Everything is visible, you just have to put your face in the water.
A few more words about animation. Animators Andrey and Polina are trying very hard, and if someone prefers to relax by the pool, you won’t get bored at all. Well, on the beach - then volleyball, then darts. In the evenings we passed out even before the children's disco (we have a five-hour time difference with Egypt), and after the children's there were both shows and adult discos. We got up at dawn, caught all the sun, and then the sunset at the end of October early, about five.
In general, if you are going to relax by the sea, and not look around the hotel - if the plaster has fallen off somewhere, you will like it. We didn't care about such things. The water in the shower was always hot and cold. Nothing poisoned. The beauty of the hotel is indescribable - what else do you need? : ) The price-quality ratio is perfect (our trips from Siberia cost us 54.000 for two, it's not expensive).
